"Out of the many choices of condos and locations, our first trip to Maui couldn’t have been better having Rick and Shirley as our hosts. Their unit at Papakea is very clean and quiet with a great view overlooking the well-maintained property and a great view of the ocean. While we spent most of our time exploring the island, we did take advantage of using the well-equipped kitchen for meals. We particularly enjoyed sitting out on the Lanai with appetizers and a tropical beverage. It won’t be long before we begin planning our return trip to this tropical paradise now that we have such great hosts and accommodations."Guest: David W. "Believe it or not, the photos don't do this property justice. The condo was immaculate and very well appointed. Resort amenities were fabulous: pool(s), spa, Duke's, store, etc. Really convenient to area attractions and activities. The owner/managers were great to work with. We would have been glad to stay forever, but no such luck."Guest: Paul B. Date of Stay: December 2013 Review Submitted: March 16, 2014View listing
"We had a most awesome time. The condo was just perfect for us. Nicely furnished with all the comforts of home. We have already recommended it to friends and family and are planning to return and stay again."Guest: toddlin Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 20, 2014View listing
"Though the pictures accurately depict the condo, it was way more amazing than I ever dreamed! In the morning, I loved to let the sun rise while I sipped coffee on the lanai. Just before dusk, I would whale watch (it was that time of year) from the lanai with a piña colada! Plus, you are close enough to the ocean to hear it, so every night I let the waves lull me to sleep. It was heaven! The Whaler is a great place in general; very close to the beach, good pool, and connected to the promenade that allows you to walk to several places to eat/drink. If I am able to return to Maui, THIS PLACE is where I'd stay again!"Guest: M&S Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: April 7, 2014View listing
