  • Perfect size, location, amenities, everything!

"Pleasing 7 people, ages 3-68 with different tastes & interests is hard to do, but this sweet cottage made everyone happy! CONVENIENT LOCATION - walked to Airport beach/park to workout, walked across the street to be picked up by Valley Isle Excursions for a tour to Hana, close to Kaanapali Beach, Kapalua Bay (great snorkeling & a giant turtle came right up to the beach!), Napili Bay (Gazebo has great pancakes!), Pacific Whale Foundation whale watching in Lahaina, paddleboarding in Kihei, hiking Haleakala crater, and a nice drive to Kula Botanical Garden. GREAT AMENITIES - made good use of the full kitchen (just the water and ice alone were a comfort!), beach toys, towels & chairs, washer/dryer, all 3 sitting areas, dining room, BBQ, pool, DVD player (my 3 yr old nephew had to watch Curious George that we brought)...everything was perfect, even the proximity to the recycling bins! The owner quickly responded to all my questions and made booking this place so easy. After a day of activities, returning 'home' was much better than going back to a chain hotel, looking for parking, waiting for an elevator, etc...(you get the picture). As we were leaving, 3 yr old said, "I had so much fun! I love this house!" We all agree! Thank you!"

  • Fabulous

"My husband and I just returned from our 8 day vacation in this unit and had an incredible time. The views are magnificent. The condo is well stocked and very comfortable. Lots to see even with out having to leave the condo. We saw whales, sea turtles, and spinner dolphins. What an awesome place. My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary here and I can't say enough great things about the unit. Dukes is right next door, there are beautiful beaches in walking distance and lots of things to do in the area. Thank you Jaimee and Eric your unit is incredible. Tod & Shelley"

  • One of Papakea's Best Condo's & Amazing View

"We have stayed in different condo's at Papakea and this one is one of the nicest. Here's what we loved about this ocean front condo: * We were greeted daily by a couple turtles in the surf below the room. * Likely one of the best condo views in all of Maui. You are about 60 feet or so from the surf and the daily sunsets are fabulous to watch from the lanai. (would be really cool during the whale season!) * The owners spent the few extra dollars and put the nice (very comfortable), taller bar style deck chairs & table on the lanai which makes it easy to see over the deck rail while sitting / dining. (Many ocean front condos have the standard height deck chairs/tables so you end up standing to see over the rail) * The condo had everything we could possible need, both in the kitchen and bedrooms with plenty of linens and toys like golf putters for the putting green and a couple really nice boogie boards! * And a big plus - each bedroom has an air conditioner. There was a heat wave going on (might still be) when we were there, so those air conditioners were a blessing! * The grounds at Papakea are beautiful, including two pools, putting greens, ponds and what we like best is the grassy section at the ocean front, right on the water. Nice for pulling up a lawn chair (lounger) and looking out across the ocean all day. Molokia and Lanai are both just across the channel. Again, this is fabulous when the whales are out! Staying in an "ocean front" condo is the best way to spend a couple week vacation!! We would 100% recommend this condo and will certainly be staying here again in the future. Rachelle (owner) was very responsive and attentive as we went through the booking process. Thanks Rachelle for sharing your vacation home! Aloha!"
