  • Absolutely amazing.

"What a wonderful condo and location. This 2 bedroom was beautiful and awesome location. Step outside your patio door and the pool along with restaurant only 10 steps away. Or if you walk out the patio door and walk to your right, your on the beach. Super easy access. It was great playing on the beach and then just running a few steps away to make some lunch. Beautiful. Will definitely be saving all the info for this condo and staying again next time."

  • Fantastic Unit for up to 2 or 3 people

"I've stayed at the Whaler various years before but this was my first time in this unit. Having seen a bunch of other units in the same building I can say that this one is among the nicest ones I've been to. Michele, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. Emails were responded promptly in a professional but personal and friendly manner. The reservation process was quick and straight forward. The Whaler is great for it's upgraded units with new bathrooms and kitchens. The studio offers a balcony facing the north side on the same level as the tree tops which gives the balcony some privacy. It of course also offers an ocean view. The service at the Whaler is all around very friendly and professional. I would recommend this studio to anyone who is looking to get away from the typical resort atmosphere. I think it is especially well suited for couples."

  • Couldn't Ask for Anything Better!

"This condo is absolutely wonderful! I spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews before choosing this condo and I picked the perfect one! The decor is awesome. It feels like home! The kitchen couldn't be nicer. There is plenty of room to unpack and store everything you bring (and we had a lot). The view and location are perfect too! Whalers Village is next door so there are plenty of activities and free events like hula shows and lei making. Lots of restaurants too! Easy access right on the beach to surf lessons and snorkel cruises. The great thing is that even though all these things are so close, the actual location of the condo is very private so it is quiet and relaxing off the lanai. We have 2 young daughters so it was great to be on the ground floor where they could play outside while we got dinner ready. We used the washer and dryer in the hall and that was very easy and convenient. We never had to wait. All I can say is if you are spending lots of time searching for the perfect vacation spot, no need to keep looking because you've found it!!"

  • Best vacation ever!

"This was our 3rd time in Maui, and this was the best place we've stayed at by far! It's a very family friendly resort, with a pirate ship wading pool (which our kids absolutely loved!), lots of other pools for the older kids and adults, and lots of activities including yoga on the front lawn every day and feeding the Koi fish. We were also lucky enough to be there during the Earth Hour celebrations, which had lots of extra entertainment including the local cheerleaders and face painting! The staff at this hotel were great, and having stayed at dozens of Starwood properties this one was really exceptional! The rooms are really well set up, too. The one bedroom side was big enough for our family of 4 with me and my wife sleeping in the closed off bedroom and plenty of space for our 2 kids (ages 3 and 5) on the pullout couch. The other family staying with us were in the suite side with their son on the pullout bed. Very comfortable Heavenly Beds (even the pullouts are good here), and nice size flat screens in each room. The hotel IT desk was so helpful they even set up my Apple TV for me by hardcoding the MAC address so I didn't have to register it each day. Concierge help was everywhere on the resort, but always helpful and never pushy. The property also has a good shuttle service if you want to head to one of their sister properties (Blackrock beach is a great location), or into Lahaina hourly, meaning you don't need a car if you don't plan on going abroad to places like Haleakala or Hana. Tom was extremely helpful as well and requested a ground floor for us in one of the best buildings on the property, which the good folks at the Westin delivered! Tom was very easy to deal with, and I could not imagine a better vacation spot. We definitely plan on returning here for our next stay on Maui."
