  • Fabulous stay!

"Just stayed at this condo 7/5-7/12. We have two young children and we all had a great time. Beautiful pool that's not crowded and easy access to the beach. Lots of daily activities planned for kids. Friendly staff... Clean spacious unit!"

  • Papakea D 406

"Our family's review of Papakea D 406 Wonderful condo. Well engineered with multiple AC systems, cozy loft and open deck with view of garden and ocean. Parking was close with easy access to unit. The unit had been completely remodeled and was very organized with recreational gear and W/D. We had stayed the previous few nights at a high rise a short distance away which did not have AC and was not remodeled. What a difference! The grounds are open ( with some construction going on), the pool clean and uncrowded and an open entertainment/barbeque area on the ocean - a real plus from the cramped high-rises along the coast. There was a very helpful guest resources book with recommendations for beaches, restaurants and logistics. Our favorite spot was nearby Oneloa Bay - tucked into the Kapalua Resort with a nice open parking lot and access. You can hike a remarkable trail (Kapalua Coastal Trail) for about a mile and a half and get a neat swim ( with shower) at Oneloa. We traveled all over the island and took ferries to Lanai and Molokai. We prefer the Napili/Kapalua part of Maui to the Wailea area. More to see and do with Molokai a dramatic back drop. Papakea is an peaceful open oasis among the nearby high-rises. Can't miss."

  • Just a spectacular vacation experience

"This was a first visit to Hawaii and what an experience this stunning unit provided us. My wife, daughter and in-laws were very comfortable here. The views from the lanai are just spectacular. The unit has many many nice amenities and extras from binoculars to snorkeling gear to a Road to Hana CD. The entire unit is upgraded and is one of the nicest units in all of Papakea. The owners took the time to really think about the needs of the vacationers. We would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a great vacation in Maui. The conceirge services at the front desk are a real plus. The location is killer, right in the heart of all things on the West Side of Maui. We made quite a few trips back to the East and North ends, but did not find the drive too difficult. The snorkeling at Black Rock and Mile Marker 14 is just stunning, today we saw a family of 8 sea turtles and a very playful seal. WIth the pool, ocean front views and other amenties Papakea is a great place for families and all sorts of groups. I would also highly recommend this unit - it was awesome. About the only think I would improve is having a couple of putters in the unit as the front desk gets a bit strick with giving out putters early and for more than an hour. Our 10 day trip is coming to an end tomorrow, but just had to say thanks to the owners and Rhonda Jackson for making this a trip we will never forget."

  • Location, location, location

"Fantastic ocean front condo. Small pocket beach at property boundary for swimming with resident turtle. The setting is so idyllic that we had our sunset drinks and dinner on the lanai every evening. Nice hardwood floors throughout. Well equipped kitchen. Bathroom is a bit dated. Bed is very comfortable. Like many condos on Maui there is no AC in bedroom (ceiling fan) but in living room, where it was not needed when we were there. We would definitely stay here again."
