  • Kaanapali Shores

"We spent 11 wonderful days in this condo with our two kids (12 & 21 yrs old). Our unit was on the bottom floor which was great because we could load and unload the car without dealing with stairs or the elevator. The unit was was clean (a few dust bunnies under the beds) and well stocked. There were chairs and boogie boards in the closet to take to the beach. The property and grounds were beautiful. The beach was about 100 yards from our room. The pools looked nice, although we spent all our time at the beach. This property was perfectly located between Lahaina and Kapalua. A very short drive to both. We are convinced that staying in a condo is the way to go. We stocked the kitchen and had breakfast in and packed lunch for the beach. Eating out for every meal can be very expensive and this is a great way to save a little money. Lot's of activities in the area to do. We went snorkeling and surfing while we were there. Go and see the people at Trilogy to book both. They were great! We are definitely coming back and will stay in this unit again. Dan and Sri were so helpful. We did everything online and never had any issues."

  • Why would you stay Anywhere else?

"Just got back from a one week stay in this beautiful condo. Actually it was supposed to just be a 6 night stay but we were having such a wonderful time we just had to stay 3 more days!!! If all these reviews sound too good to be true they aren't. So I won't restate all that has already been said. But I must say that Rick was a privilege to deal with. Not only during the booking process but when a minor issue came up during our stay he was right on it. The unit is top notch in every way but its location is what sets it apart from all others. Other hotels or condos may say ocean view or even ocean front but I doubt if any of them come close to this condo's location. Take the elevator down or better yet use the stairs, walk thru the BBQ area next to the pool and across the walkway and you're on the beach!! The sunset views from the lanai each night make you not want to leave for dinner. The staff at The Whaler was extremely friendly and helpful even though we rented directly from the owner. Make sure you plan in advance to stay longer than you originally expected because you won't want to leave and it costs more to change your flight home at the last Minute!!! A few suggestions: Your first stop has to be Costco. Their prices are pretty close to what they are on the mainland so stock up. And even though people complain about how expensive Maui is, our first meal (snack) was about $5.50 for a couple slices of pizza and a hotdog! Don't knock it.... you get hungry on a long flight with nothing but airline food to choose from. The BBQ area is really nice and is a perfect place to prepare and enjoy a meal or 2. The pool area is beautiful and is a great place to spend a few minutes after a day at the beach. For those who are concerned about there being no restaurants or bar on the property, the Whaler Village being located right next door solves that. A short walk leads you to shops, food, drinks, ice cream and shaved ice. There are so many beautiful beaches to choose from but our favorite was Airport Beach. its about a 3 minute drive to the other side of Blackrock. There is a grass picnic area, nice restrooms, a gorgeous beach with some amazing snorkeling just a few yards off shore, better than Blackrock. All your rental needs can be taken care of by The Snorkel Store which is very close by. Friendly helpful staff and great prices. The Old Lahaina Luau is a MUST. Don't miss it"

  • Perfection!

"We stayed at the condo over spring break, and I couldn't recommend it more highly. The location, interior space, and amenities were all exactly as advertised, and perfectly suited to a family traveling with children. We snorkeled off the reef in front of the condo, saw sea turtles swimming by, and hung out in the complex hot tub & pool. We also enjoyed boogie boarding and snorkeling at local beaches (all within 10 minutes drive) and did zip-lining and a Molikini tour (both within a 45 minute drive). The kitchen in the condo is fully outfitted, and we cooked nearly all our meals in the condo - saving on costs but also giving us the opportunity to spend more family time together in a relaxed informal way. I would absolutely return to this place - a GREAT option for families!"
