  • Many Maui vacations

"This was SUCH a gorgeous condominium!!! Totally re-done - everything is new in it! The kitchen, living and dining rooms, bedroom and bathrooms are all awesome! Nice big screen TV too, in case it rains!! The view could maybe be better, but we could still look out into the park next door to the Paki Maui and got a partial ocean view. There is a pool and Jacuzzi and bbqs. We love the location too - just minutes from Kaanapali Beach where we love to hang out on the beach and have lunches and dinners! I very much recommend this property to anyone who likes to stay in a very modern updated condo!! And anyone on the recommended list could stay here and enjoy it very much!"

  • Outstanding in all aspects

"I don't usually leave reviews, but had to do so for this one. To sum it up, when we told our 3-year old that we had to fly home, he burst into tears and told us he didn't want to leave "our Hawaii house". Evelyn (owner) worked hard to ensure that we had an outstanding experience and exceeded all our expectations. We probably could have done quite well if we'd just camped on the lanai. As it was, we spent a LOT of time there. The artwork was Hawaiian/tropical-themed, but very tasteful. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and the bedrooms & bathrooms were well-equipped. My only complaint is that I'm now going to get pressured to upgrade the appliances at our house to Viking and Sub-Zero this Christmas. :) Maria--the on-island coordinator- was outstanding. She was very kind and natural with my kids and my parents. She was responsive when we needed her and invisible when we didn't (a perfect hostess). Her recommendations were excellent. She was very good at arranging surf lessons and a luau which everyone, including the 3-year old, is still talking about. She is a very good resource for local tips, shopping spots or any activities you want to arrange. My parents celebrated their 50th anniversary a couple years ago. At the time, they wanted to host a 5-star vacation with both our family and my sister's family. Schedules, newborn babies & life kinda got in the way and we weren't able to pull it together at the time. My sister and her family took their trip last year. Hawaii was for us. My parents are now in their 80s and slowing down, so this may be the last epic vacation they get to take with our family. It could not have worked out better. Everyone had a wonderful time and great memories. We have a lot to be thankful for this year."

  • Great Condo

"The Unit was as advertised very modern and updated. Well appointed. The surprise to us was how spacious it was. It had everything we needed. It was nice to have some basic things in the unit such as oil, spices, foil, saran wrap and the like. The beds were extremely comfortable. Another thing we really enjoyed was the size of the Lani and the fact that we had our own grill on the Lani and did not have to go to a common grill area made food prep and dinners much more enjoyable. We will most definitely book this unit on future travels to Kaanapali."

  • Family fun on the best beach in Mauii

"The Honua Kai is a clean family friendly resort with its pool, waterside and lazy rivers. Having Kaanapali beach as your own personal beach is great. We were able to boogie board, snorkel, standup paddle board and watch the amazing sunsets a few steps from our resort. The unit was very clean and modern and satisfied all our needs. Having a dishwasher, coffee maker and washer and dryer were essential to us! Duke's is a beautiful restaurant with great Macadamia nut pancakes and most evenings we got football games going with other families on the expansive lawn on the property with the ambiance of live music from Duke's and tiki torches everywhere. I love the quieter north end of Kaanapali as well as the beach path that connects you to all the other resorts on the beach. It is a great run to Black Rock. The staff were very helpful and their presentation in the Maui room on activities to do in Maui for first timers was very valuable. I hope we can visit again soon!"
