"Aloha Rick and Cindy, Writing this is hard knowing our time here is drawing to an end, however I can now start planning our next trip back to Maui. We have been here 3 times now and always at the Royal Kahana, but your unit is by far the nicest we've stayed in. You have truly made it a home away from home...down to the last detail. You can tell you stay here as well because you have everything needed to make our stay perfect. In all of our past trips here we've kept busy going and doing everything, this time we enjoyed a lot of down time by the pool, on the beach and on the lanai, because of the exceptional view. We managed many great meals out, our favorites were at Lahaina Grill and Honu (on your recommendation the Opakapaka-Dori preparation was amazing). We had a wonderful time at Fleetwood's...chatting it up with Mick was certainly a highlight for all of us. We hope to return when the whales are active next time..something we have yet to see. I will miss being lulled to sleep by the surf when we return to Illinois. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us. Mahalo, Jerry, Kelli, Jake and Kole Schlich"Guest: Kelli S. "We loved our stay at Kahana in West Maui. The condo was right off the ocean - while it was a little rocky you are (within a short 10 min drive) from some very nice beaches at either Kapalua or towards Lanai. You are a very short walk from some restaurants (like the Maui Brewery) and a pretty cool coffee store (we did it every morning). The condo has wireless internet, a tv in each bedroom (as well as the living room), and we used the pool a couple of times after returning from the beach. This was a great rental - we recommend this to anyone that is looking for a 2BR (a lot more room than you would get from a hotel). There is plenty of parking, and the area appeared very safe."Guest: Jeff in MD Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 16, 2014View listing
"Finding this condo was a big deal. I had been searching for a three bedroom, hopefully three bath, condo to accommodate me, my wife, my 30 year old daughter and my 28 year old daughter with her husband. And because neither of my daughters or my son-in-law had ever been to Hawaii, it had to be in just the right location. By process of elimination Sands of Kahana became one of the possibilities. Reviews on TripAdvisor, however, had me a little leery. Then I came across Cindy & Bill Vinson's property which I could rent directly through them. That is to say I wouldn't be at the mercy of the reservation agents on the property. The pictures on the website looked too good to be true. When we arrived I was prepared for a little embellishment of the facts. If anything things were better than I could have expected. Clean, up-to-date and cozy. In addition, there were plenty of food options within walking distance and Lahaina and Napili were just five minutes down the road. Cindy Vinson was a delight to deal with. She even called my cell phone after we arrived to make sure everything was in order. Five star hotels don't give you that kind of service. We were very, very pleased with Cindy and her condo."Guest: Kenneth L. Date of Stay: January 2014 Review Submitted: January 30, 2014View listing
