"My wife and I had not been back to Maui since 2008. We were there with the family then, so needed a larger place. Since it was just the 2 of us this time, we were looking for something smaller, but in Kahana. After much research, we chose Jay and Christina's condo in Kahana Reef. Having never seen the complex, or the unit before, you are always a little anxious about what you're getting. The complex,.....or #107 did not disappoint!! The complex is conveniently located in the Kahana area, just north of Kaanapali. Lots of shops in the area, and the Honokawai Farmers Market is within walking distance. If you like craft beer, the Maui Brewing Co., has a pub just across the street,......good food, and a ton of beers to chose from,.....all brewed by them.
As for the condo,.....it has everything you might need. It's on ground level, with the pool right outside. There are no air conditioners in the complex which is not an issue. You simply open the front door, and the doors to the lanai,...and the cross breeze keeps you cool all day. It's completely stocked with all the non food items you'll need. Although there is no beach right in front,.....there is one immediately to the right,....2 minutes away. The benefit however, is that you get treated to the sea turtles frolicking in front of the sea wall each day.
Jay was great to deal with,....answering any and all questions we had prior to leaving for Maui. We certainly have no concerns about recommending the complex, and this particular condo! Enjoy the experience if you choose #107,......Kahana Reef.
