  • Superb Condo, Great Ocean Views, and Quiet

"We just finished our stay during the first week of February 2015 and would consider this condo again. We were 2 adult 55+ couples and found the Hololani building and this condo perfect. The condo, in particular, has two wonderful rooms with direct open views to the ocean and shaded from any harsh sunlight angles. It is unique in this condo complex in that the living room is extended to the railing instead of having a separate lanai; however, the bank of sliding glass doors and screens open widely to allow the living room direct views to the ocean. As someone else mentioned, most of the folks here tend to be older and quiet, which was perfect for us. There is an adequate pool, but no hot tub. The beach at this location is somewhat narrower than the pictures, however, access to wonderful Khana beach can be made just to the southeast of the property. Our friends wanted a big cudo sent out for the really superb beach towels provided by the owner... really a nice touch. The Lower Hololani road has easy access to bus transit, so one could stay hear without a car, but there is also nice garage parking for one car to each condo. Secured wi-fi is also available and is fast and dependable."

  • Great condo!

"We just returned from Maui where we spent 5 nights in this condo, it was a great condo in a great location. Very clean, comfortable bed, and some beach necessities were provided. It was a pleasure dealing with Sherrie, who promptly emailed back (and even called within 5 min when I had a question while there) when I had any questions. Loved that it was on the ground floor, easy parking and fast access to the beach- gorgeous and uncrowded sunsets.Would love to stay again, we love Maui and can't wait to return! My only concern was the way the glass mirror on one wall was the curtains never could cover it completely, thus always being able to see inside- and vice versa- making dressing a little uncomfortable."

  • The perfect home base

"This was our first trip with our 9 month old and Tim & Kim's place couldn't have been more perfect! The accommodations were just as described by the other reviewers - it is beautifully maintained and truly has everything you need. The proximity to the beach was priceless. It was perfect to spend a morning or afternoon at the beach and then take an easy walk back for meals and nap time. Kahana is also perfectly located for day excursions to Lahaina for a whale watch (if you're hoping to get a closer look by boat, but you can also see them from the lanai); or to check out the neighboring beaches and restaurants of Ka'anapali and Napili. Great farmers markets and fresh fish markets were less than 10 minutes away and allowed us to enjoy cooking-in and watching the sunset from home. We can't say enough about what it meant to us to call this condo home for the week. It was a week we won't soon forget!"

  • Incredible Sunsets! We wanted to stay longer

"I stayed here for two nights with three of my girlfriends and we had an incredible time! The unit was amazing, the view was spectacular, and we wished we could have stayed for longer. The pictures were a great representation of the unit, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We ended up going to the Lahaina Fish Market and got fresh fish everyday for dinner and were able to watch the sunset from the unit. The elephant in the room: We are all in our early 20's, and the Kuleana Oceanfront Condos residents were primarily elderly. We LOVED this about the property! Our goal for our trip was a relaxing getaway, and that is exactly what we got. Quiet hours started at 10pm which was perfect for us, and the whole complex was in great condition. TL;DR: If you are looking for an affordable relaxing getaway in a unit that has a fully stocked kitchen and is footsteps from the beach, this is your place. If you are looking for a party and plan on going out every night, you will want to stay closer to Lahaina and stay at one of the resorts."
