  • Excellent condo

"The condo was very nice. The owner was very quick to respond to emails. The view was excellent--while you are a little ways from the oceanfront, we could see whales even in early April. The bed was large and comfortable. I think the condo is very reasonably priced considering the area it's in."

  • May 2014 - Fantastic - wonderful place!!!

"We stayed at this beautiful condo for our daughter's Hawaii wedding. All the family members who stopped by to see us were floored by how spacious and wonderful this property is. The kitchen is more well-equipped than most homes. The owners have truly thought of everything for their guests. We used the outdoor grill in the pool area almost every night. It was a wonderful relaxing way to spend each evening after a day on the go. Parking is just steps from the front door. The photos for this listing are very accurate - perfectly clean and beautiful! The owners Chad and Carolyn are extremely nice and helpful. This place is perfect!!!"

  • Didn't want to go home

"Two of us rented this condo for three weeks in January/February 2015. While we have visited many other Hawaiian islands, this was our first time on Maui. The condo sits right on the tenth hole of the beautiful Kapalua Bay Golf Course. Beyond the golf course, one can see the ocean, with the island of Lanai to the left and Molokai to the right. Between the islands we watched the sunset each night. This condo worked very well for us. The bedroom was spacious, with plenty of drawers and closet space for our belongings. We appreciated having two bathrooms—something that is often difficult to find in a one-bedroom unit. The living room was comfortable and the kitchen worked well. It was nice to find lots of spices in the cupboard. The lanai had two lounge chairs as well as a bistro table with four chairs. We love eating fresh fish in Hawaii. There is a fish market on the lower road where we frequently purchased the day’s catch to cook at “home.” The people behind the counter are very helpful with advice on preparing each type of fish. They also serve excellent lunches in a very casual environment. Normally we like to try different golf courses, but we played almost all of our games at the Bay Course because we enjoyed it so much and it was so close. The course is beautiful, each hole is unique, and there are not a lot of situations where one loses balls. If you golf there, ask about discounts. We were given one discount because we were staying at a Kapalua condo and another discount for using a Signature VISA card. There are many good places to walk in the area. The Coastal Trail along the beaches is especially nice. There are several beaches within walking distance, though you’ll probably want to drive if you’re planning to take along any beach equipment. The pool, which is very close, was pleasant. I don’t know if the pool is heated, but the water was a very comfortable temperature, so it was not difficult to enter. Some other positives about this particular condo: • Fred and Lori, the owners, want to make certain their renters enjoy the place and I know that they would have fixed anything that needed fixing. • There were no stairs to contend with, so we could easily wheel our suitcases in an out of the unit. • There was a designated parking spot for our rental car. • The closet on the lanai is well stocked with beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkel equipment, etc., should you need it. I noticed that there were also a couple of large bags of golf balls"

  • Top-drawer condo with great ocean view and location

"Excellent in every way. My wife and I spent a week here in January. We often use vrbo and know the pros and cons of the system. And we are particular about where we stay. All is as described. There were no surprises or disappointments. The unit is clean, modern and well equipped. The lanai is large yet remarkably private for attached condo construction. The condo is on the middle level with one unit below and one above. We did not use the AC the entire week. Opening the door transoms on the entry-slide of the condo allowed cross ventilation from the ocean breeze, keeping the temperature quite comfortable. David was businesslike and responsive. The condo is a gem and the price is fair. We've already made our reservation for next year."
