  • Absolutely Lovely!

"This review is coming a few months late, but I wanted to make sure that I left a review. We went to Maui for our wedding, and this rental made it such a dream of a vacation! My family and I LOVED it! Robin was very organized and easy for me to work with in getting everything set prior to our arrival. We had 7 people, including me, my husband, our daughters, and three family members. This was a great rental for such a good-sized group. It was kept up pristinely, decorated with that nice tropical feel, had plenty of towels (different bath vs beach towels), beach toys for the kids, kitchen was well-stocked with supplies (should be everything you need), etc. The view was amazing and the sound of the ocean waves as we woke up and fell asleep was just as wonderful. The location was nice with a mile walk down a path to get to Lahaina shopping area. The one thing to be aware of if you have small children, the beach right off of the property isn't great for wading. However, there's one you can access if you drive out and then around. Some adults in our group felt comfortable walking down the shore over to the beach I'm mentioning (sorry can't remember the name), but I didn't feel comfortable having the kids do that. But, I have to say this slight detail wasn't enough for me to take away a star from this property. Our girls still loved running around, loved the hammock, and had fun in the pool. Overall, we truly loved this vacation rental and would certainly love to return the next time we have a larger group!"

  • Lovely vacation.

"First let me say we had a lovely vacation! Just lovely! The home is right on the water and the sunsets were amazing. Was there with my husband, our adults children and our grandchildren. Some things to know: the walk to Lahaina is relatively easy but know there are no sidewalks and it is pretty dark to walk home after dinner. Lahaina has wonderful restaurants, art galleries, clothing shops, fun bars and can be easily walked. There is really no beach to speak of in January; not fun with kids that want to play in the sand. We did found some lovely beaches that we drove to; just leave early as the public parking fills up very fast. One beach we went north for and another we drove to south Maui Wailea area. My husband and I brought our tennis gear when we saw there was a tennis court available. Unfortunately, the local residents know how to play the sign-up system and will block off the courts for 4-5 hr chunks at a time; skip dragging your tennis racket all the way to Hawaii as we tried for 7 days to play and never was able to! I have contacted the property manager with a list of some home improvements that I believe the housekeepers are not catching when they clean so these improvements are most likely not being done (things like specialty lights/bulbs that are burned out going up the stairs and take a special bulb, a mattress that has broken down and was quite uncomfortable for a normal weight couple, a broken door knob... just little things like that). We were surprised to see that we needed to buy toilet paper, garbage bags and paper towels as I thought when it said well stocked pantry that would be included; we left what we didn't use. The well stocked "pantry" has salt and pepper and a few spices; there was some olive oil with no lid that I chucked as it most likely spoiled. I highly recommend booking the Alii Nui sail trip to Molokini; amazing and the whales were so, so close! We also went to the Old Lahaina Lu'au; exceptional!! Overall the house was wonderful, very comfortable, roomy and blessed us with an amazing holiday."

  • A perfect family vacation

"We (us, 8yr old twins + grand-parents) just came back from almost three weeks at Natalie & Matt's amazing bungalow at Puamana. Puamana is as close to paradise as it gets. So convenient, calm and beautiful. We are hooked. Their unit was perfect. Clean, really well stocked, with almost all amenities one would desire. We cooked at home most meals and we left behind two chefs knives (bought at Costco, not that we needed two but it's what it is at Costco). We also left behind two 8ft surf boards and boosters seats for others to enjoy. No economic sense in renting all of that stuff for 3 weeks. So, enjoy ! It was cozy in the loft for two adults and twins but quite comfortable, especially after days of playing in the water. Grandparents said their master bed was the most comfortable they've slept in. I miss the beautiful Lanai so much. It's been quite cold since we came back and eating out every evening, either on our lanai or at the Club house was wonderful. Communications with the owners was so easy. We were really glad we picked this unit. Thank you Natalie and Matt, we hope to return (already) Manon & family Montreal, Quebec, Canada"

  • Can't beat it

"This rental is so perfect. I cannot say enough about how awesome it was. It had everything we needed. Karen was great to work with. It was our first trip to Maui/Hawaii and it was fabulous. As we traveled around Maui we kept thinking there was probably a better place to stay since it was our first trip and we did not use a travel agent. But this rental was amazing. During our stay, we were so thankful for our place to stay. Karen has truly thought of everything - beach towels, boogie boards, hair dryers, ziplock bags, board games, water shoes in several sizes, vinegar, twin air mattress. We bought food and cooked most of our meals on the Barbeque. We watched whales from the Lanai almost every day. Our children 7,9, & 11 loved the beach being so close. We also saw sea turtles almost every day and especially when we used the paddle boards that we rented. After the first day we set up a "medical station" because almost everyone had a foot wound, either from the rocks in the ocean or a sea urchin. But once we all figured out that we needed to step carefully when in the water or not touch the bottom, all was well. The pool was a little farther away than we thought, but it didn't deter us from going at least once each day. We went on a boat to Molokini island which promised whale watching, snorkeling and turtle sightings. It was about $75 per person but it was a complete waste of money because we saw much better whale watching and turtle sightings from this house, right out the front door. It was worth every penny."
