Loved our holiday in Puamana
"This was a wonderful holiday and our accommodations were suburb. We had everything we needed including diving shoes, paddle boards etc. We found Puamana a central location for our daily trips to sights on the island. We can hardly wait to go back next year to this unit."

"Puamana was the perfect location for our family and Karen and Jeff's home was the perfect house. Our time in Maui was a mixed bag of events -- a reaffirmation of vows by friends, hiking and climbing, vegetating, catching up on sleep. We had room for everyone to do just as they pleased. We especially loved being the last house before the Puamana Beach Park. Surfers, paddle boarders, kayakers all performed this amazing ritual dance of yielding, then rolling in. So some of my group got involved; great fun. All the reviewers have commented on how well equpped the house is and I concur totally. But some other thoughts on this house: good parking so no driving around looking for a spot, attentive security crew who welcomed our guests quickly, beautifully maintained garden setting with paths to pools and clubhouse. And all this without any conventional hotel formality. Other thoughts about this location: easy drives to the more northern beaches or Kehei and wonderfully close to Lahaina with its restaurants and shopping. We walked to mid-Lahaina (about 1.2 miles) and enjoyed lunches there; we had no trouble getting a taxi back. We mostly cooked "at home" at night. Can not reccomend this rental too highly."

"We had the pleasure in staying hear for 10 days- and it was amazing! It is not your typical rental, it is truly someone's home. Ocean views from the bedrooms upstairs, end unit, so the patio spills out to a garden, and a very short walk to the beach. So peaceful and quiet throughout. The unit was beautifully stocked-everything we needed for our stay was available to us.The furnishing and bedding looked to be very new and fresh. Location of this property was perfect--10min walk into Lahaina. Will definetly return to this unit."

"We stayed here over Christmas with our two sons, ages 11 and 13. Booking and dealing with the management went smooth and easy. The townhouse is spacious and as advertised.... We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen, each having our own bedroom, and having lots of space to spread out. I loved being close to Lahaina.... we didn't walk there as it was probably about 30 min walk away with no actual sidewalk, just a shoulder, but it was about a 5 min drive, close to grocery shopping, feast at lele, surfing lessons , Front street etc. The townhouse is in the last section of townhouses before Puamana beach park (public beach) but we didn't notice any issues from that. It is located right on the highway, and at first I thought it would really annoy me, as I am very sensitive to noise, but we found if we kept the door on that side of the house closed, it wasn't noticeable. Our eyes and ears were drawn to the other side of the house, with the ocean!
A couple things I wish I'd known: although the townhouse is oceanfront, you are not allowed to access the beach in front of your townhouse. You have to walk way way down to a common access point, which is super annoying. There are signs and caution tape all along the shoreline saying $250 fine if you go down to the beach at a no access point. But to carry all the gear and walk around is annoying, when paying for a waterfront place..... You have to haul stuff as far as if you were not renting waterfront. The other thing is that the beach is sandy with pockets of big rocks. We went swimming without watershoes and within 15 minutes we all had cut feet, my husbands pretty badly. So if you swim there, be sure to wear Aqua socks.
I'm torn about staying here again.... The place itself was nice, location on Maui great.... But I think I'd try to find a place where I was allowed to access the beach right at my rental."
