"Puamana is paradise, and this lovely, inviting "home" there is our biggest treat of the year. This was our third visit to this special place, and I am sure it will not be the last. From the very beginning Dave and Cheryl work with you to make your visit easy, arrival procedures, directions, etc. The immaculate and comfortable unit has everything you could possibly need in a well stocked kitchen, there are books of information for all sorts of activities, restaurants and places to go. We love the fact that right outside the door is a path for the short walk into Lahaina....we did that all the time...never had to search for town parking!
(Restaurant Tip: Check out nearby "Betty's" on Thursday's which is "lobster night", and the best value we found in all of Lahaina...if you time it right ( 6-ish) you can enjoy the full luau show on the patio down in front of Betty's offered by another much fancier restaurant!!....and enjoy a really great lobster dinner at the same time).
The truth is, you never even have to leave the gorgeous grounds of Puamana, with three swimming pools, tennis courts, beach front for surfers and swimmers, gorgeous sunsets....all right outside your door! The owners keep a great closet out on the cozy lanai with all the beach/sports equipment you could need which made those kind of outings very easy!
All in all you could not find a sweeter place to spend your Maui vacation! We recommend it highly!

"This is a fantastic house, right on the water with a great view and all amenities. Altho the beach is not a swimming beach, they have an ocean pool right over the water which is clean and lovely. The location is perfect; we could walk into the main part of Lahaina (but it's harder at nite on the part without a sidewalk). Perfect for 6 people. Everything you need in the kitchen. Great service, and have an app that puts all the info you need in one place. Definitely recommend it!"

"A month on the beach in paradise - truly a wonderful spot. Perfect for 2 or 3 couples or a family. We stayed here last year also and the unit is well supplied, spacious and comfortable. Love the biking into Lahaina, the ocean-side pool and the peace & quiet."

"We stayed here over Christmas with our two sons, ages 11 and 13. Booking and dealing with the management went smooth and easy. The townhouse is spacious and as advertised.... We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen, each having our own bedroom, and having lots of space to spread out. I loved being close to Lahaina.... we didn't walk there as it was probably about 30 min walk away with no actual sidewalk, just a shoulder, but it was about a 5 min drive, close to grocery shopping, feast at lele, surfing lessons , Front street etc. The townhouse is in the last section of townhouses before Puamana beach park (public beach) but we didn't notice any issues from that. It is located right on the highway, and at first I thought it would really annoy me, as I am very sensitive to noise, but we found if we kept the door on that side of the house closed, it wasn't noticeable. Our eyes and ears were drawn to the other side of the house, with the ocean!
A couple things I wish I'd known: although the townhouse is oceanfront, you are not allowed to access the beach in front of your townhouse. You have to walk way way down to a common access point, which is super annoying. There are signs and caution tape all along the shoreline saying $250 fine if you go down to the beach at a no access point. But to carry all the gear and walk around is annoying, when paying for a waterfront place..... You have to haul stuff as far as if you were not renting waterfront. The other thing is that the beach is sandy with pockets of big rocks. We went swimming without watershoes and within 15 minutes we all had cut feet, my husbands pretty badly. So if you swim there, be sure to wear Aqua socks.
I'm torn about staying here again.... The place itself was nice, location on Maui great.... But I think I'd try to find a place where I was allowed to access the beach right at my rental."
