  • A wonderful time was had in Lahaina at Puamana!

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family of three had a wonderful time at Puamana, Unit 30-2. It was just right. When I booked the unit I was specifically looking for a nice unit away from the highway noise and this turned out to be a wonderful selection. We boogie boarded off the shore and it was a mere 5 minute walk right to the sandy beach. We love Puamana for its low key atmosphere and nice property right on the ocean. This unit was wonderfully appointed - the owners provided beach towels, 2 boogie boards, some snorkeling equipment, coolers, nice kitchen furnishings. (if they would have had a good knife sharpener I would have sharpened all their knives :-) ). The lanai was lovely and felt very private. They have a very nice deck table and chairs. I thank the owners for their thoughtfulness in equipping the home so well. Oh, and the master king bed was VERY comfortable, as were the pillows. Thanks for everything."

  • Great stay Nov-Dec 2014

"This was a great place to stay in west maui with amazing ocean and mountain views. The landscape and overall scenery of the home is outstanding. Sweeping ocean views in front of the house (and from the master suite), and dramatic maui mountain views from the other bedrooms and back of home. Views of both from the hot tub! Only 10 minute drive to downtown lahaina and even less to some great beaches for lounging + snorkeling. The home was clean, with tasteful decorating and a beautiful lanai to drink our morning coffee and watch the sun set. It was also a unique stay to be at a working animal farm and we quickly grew to love the several animals on the farm including a rambunctious goat, a friendly burrow, the piglets, beautiful horses, among many others. Feeding the animals became a favorite morning ritual, following drinking coffee on the lanai. I wish I'd had time to take the horses on a trail ride (available for an additional fee), but alas, our time passed too quickly. Our family often rents homes on HomeAway and this was a great setting for our family (two 30-something couples, and our 60-something parents). The home came equipped with most, but not all amenities (really just kitchen items) I've experienced at other property rentals, particularly in this price range. That being said, once we bought all the below-mentioned items, we made some lovely meals that we enjoyed on the tables under the gazebo. Our family went off to another HomeAway rental on Oahu, so sadly took our below-purchased articles with us. Included: - High quality bath towels and beach towels (more than enough for the whole family) - 2 beach chairs - outside gas grill - traditional coffee maker - in-unit washer/dryer with laundry soap but no dryer sheets Not included (should bring yourself) - coffee filters - laundry dryer sheets - ALL kitchen food items (including salt, pepper, olive oil, seasonings, aluminum foil, ziplock baggies, etc), cookware/dishes are included - carrots. We happily bought a few bags of carrots during our trip to feed the animals Teresa was really prompt and helpful before and after our trip. Our security deposit was promptly returned. Overall, we were very pleased with our rental, the location of the rental, and would definitely stay here again. This was a great location to be our base for hiking (recommend the lahaina Pali trail about 10 miles south of the property or the Wainee trail about 45 minutes away in north mau"

  • At home in Paradise

"I didn't know how much time I'd actually spend at "home" on my first vacation to Hawaii. I wound up spending quite a bit at my home. The kitchen and dining area was so wonderful, I didn't have to eat out every day. Sitting out on the patio to eat, or visit with my friends, or just to read my book, was so relaxing with the surf just feet away.the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Waking up my first day to the view that I had. Oh. Well. I have no words. This was the most relaxing vacation that I have ever had and I can't wait to come back."

  • Lovely Studio and great location

"We decided to book this resort in Maui for it's location and good price. The owner, Penny is very responsive and helpful throughout the booking process. The studio is very clean with everything provided as described. Location is perfect, it's just a short walk to all restaurants and shops and yet offer a quiet surrounding. Though the room is on the mountain view, it was beautiful to watch the color changes with sunrise and sunset. The poolside is great place to catch the sunset by the ocean. If you are new to surfing, you can take surfing lesson just next door. We enjoyed our stay very much and love this resort and last but not least, the staffs are friendly."
