  • Wonderful!

"Your home was perfect except for 60" flat screen. We didn't watch very much T.V. and it's not like you don't have enough T. V.'S! The accomadations were perfect and the ground were lovely. What I liked was the fact that it wasn't a highrise. I felt like I was in a beautiful community on Maui. The facilities were great and the Ocean pool was fantastic. Your home was so comfortable and well laid out. Thank you for sharing your Maui retreat with us."

  • Lovely vacation.

"First let me say we had a lovely vacation! Just lovely! The home is right on the water and the sunsets were amazing. Was there with my husband, our adults children and our grandchildren. Some things to know: the walk to Lahaina is relatively easy but know there are no sidewalks and it is pretty dark to walk home after dinner. Lahaina has wonderful restaurants, art galleries, clothing shops, fun bars and can be easily walked. There is really no beach to speak of in January; not fun with kids that want to play in the sand. We did found some lovely beaches that we drove to; just leave early as the public parking fills up very fast. One beach we went north for and another we drove to south Maui Wailea area. My husband and I brought our tennis gear when we saw there was a tennis court available. Unfortunately, the local residents know how to play the sign-up system and will block off the courts for 4-5 hr chunks at a time; skip dragging your tennis racket all the way to Hawaii as we tried for 7 days to play and never was able to! I have contacted the property manager with a list of some home improvements that I believe the housekeepers are not catching when they clean so these improvements are most likely not being done (things like specialty lights/bulbs that are burned out going up the stairs and take a special bulb, a mattress that has broken down and was quite uncomfortable for a normal weight couple, a broken door knob... just little things like that). We were surprised to see that we needed to buy toilet paper, garbage bags and paper towels as I thought when it said well stocked pantry that would be included; we left what we didn't use. The well stocked "pantry" has salt and pepper and a few spices; there was some olive oil with no lid that I chucked as it most likely spoiled. I highly recommend booking the Alii Nui sail trip to Molokini; amazing and the whales were so, so close! We also went to the Old Lahaina Lu'au; exceptional!! Overall the house was wonderful, very comfortable, roomy and blessed us with an amazing holiday."

  • Great time in Puamana

"Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time staying in Puamana. We typically go to Maui once per year and typically stay in the Wailea area. Puamana is in an excellent location if you desire to spend time in Lahaina - it is a 15 minute walk although not recommended to be walked at night. If you stay in Wailea a lot, Puamana is an excellent change (almost like a different vacation in Maui - different golf courses, different restaurants, etc). The Puamana development is somewhat outdated (old clubhouse, limited workout facility, etc.), so don't go there looking for top of the line amenities. With that said, it situated in a wonderful setting with excellent views of Lanai and the Lahaina harbor. The seaside pool is really nice, but was a little on the cold side. The unit itself is as advertised. Remodeled, clean and very close to the water - although a little pricy. We took my elderly parents (86 and 91) for the first week and they enjoyed it (very nice having a master suite on the first floor - especially for elderly folks). The parking is right outside the front door of the unit - which was also nice. Every morning, we saw turtles in the ocean right outside our unit while drinking coffee. Sunsets were spectacular. My only complaint about our stay was that the unit next to us was being renovated and was noisy on some days (we stayed two weeks). With that said, Dave was very professional and apologized for the situation (we booked 9 months in advance - so we understood the oversight of not having this communicated this to us) and gave us a slight credit for the inconvenience. We would definitely stay at this property again. Before booking any property at Puamana - I would inquire about any construction that is occurring. Many of the units do require some updating (many of the units are likely greater than 30 years old) and the unit next to ours wasn't the only unit being worked on."

  • Nice Location and feeling of safety

"We stayed in two units while visited there, Both Privately owned, and Jamie's was the second Unit. Although both Units were about the same, We liked the fact of the down stairs location of his, and the closeness of both pools. The first Unit was closer to the road, upstairs and further away from the pools . Some how it felt safer tucked in being in Jamie's Unit. We Loved Both Units, and they BOTH HAD THEIR PROS & CONS. The only suggestion I would make for Jamie's Unit is that he make his more "homier" , as the owner of the first Unit had. Since we stayed there for 21 days ( 1 week in one unit & 2 in the other) We became familiar with some staff members there who where more than helpful and friendly. I personally made friends with two of the staff who made us feel more like family than guests. Since our Son lives in Lahaina , We often visit and this has been far the best place yet to stay! it was easy for us to walk every where to meet him & his family when needed. plus just "get away" on our own. Thank you for everything & YOU will see us again. Aloha for now"
