  • Beautiful View from West Maui Condo! Swim with the turtles and fish from your own beach!

"This was an excellent condo with a super view of the ocean...about 100 feet away from your lanai! Great snorkeling right there with turtles even coming up on the beach to sun. Perfect for 2 people and could fit 4 as there are 2 bedrooms but 1 bath and smaller living room. Close to Lahaina and shopping. A nice place for a long morning walk and close restaurants. We will come back again as it is our 3rd time at this condo building but first time in #304."

  • Great honeymoon getaway!

"We were there for 10 days and the place was extremely convenient to other activities and restaurants on the island. We rented a car for a couple of days and biked down the volcano and did some ATVing in the old sugarcane fields. We are located in a row of resorts that we could easily walk to. There were a variety of restaurants at Whaler's Village next door and at each of the resorts. Plus the shops were nice to look in too. The apartment was good for a married couple. We had just enough room but if you have children or another couple, you would definitely would want a bigger place. The view from the lanai was awesome and my husband liked feeding the birds in the morning while drinking his coffee. The bed was comfy and it was nice to have TV with cable and a DVD player right there. The Maui Revealed book was helpful for choosing what activities to do. On the island there are a ton of people trying to sell you timeshares with "free or discounted" activities. That was annoying, so we stuck to using the book and speaking with the Concierge at the front desk. The pool, hot tub, and fitness center were awesome. The only drawback was that our condo was right next to where they drop the trash. It didn't bother me but it bothered my husband. Also, on a couple of the nights there was a rowdy couple above us. My husband said he heard the cops one night but I didn't hear a thing. Other than that it was quiet. I think it was a freak occurrence because the majority of the people at the complex were older people. The bathroom was fine but the sink water took a while to get hot, and the bathroom sink drain was a little slow. The water in the kitchen and shower was hot without a problem. We couldn't figure out why the bathroom sink water took a while to get hot. The kitchen was great but it needs better knives. They were so dull it was hard to cut the pineapple. Overall we would stay there again. It was very convenient and not pricey. Parking was only $12/night and it wasn't as busy as the bigger resorts. That is what we liked since we wanted pricey and an easy walk to our condo. Also the elevators worked well."

  • Great Place

"we enjoyed this condo and resort very much! our 19 and 9 year old daughters appreciated the private bed/bath. the pictures are very accurate. the furniture was comfortable; appliances were bosch; unit was very clean and well maintained. the lanai had a beautiful view and we appreciated that the unit did not get the direct sunlight all day- which allowed us to enjoy sitting there. the key cards/parking cards were a little confusing. Julie was great to work with and very attentive. the resort was beautiful and pools were nice and roomy. the beach was narrow but if you walked to black rock, you could snorkel with the sea turtles!! we enjoyed the west maui parasailing, snorkeling with pacific whale foundation, our own trek to haleakala and hana, and boogie boarding outside the resort. try hula pie at dukes and pancakes at slappy cakes. the shopping at front street was great for tourist items but whalers village had upscale shopping."

  • Paradise

"The Honua Kai and this property specifically was exactly as advertised and more! Chris from the property management company was waiting in the lobby when we arrived. The condo is beautiful. Everything you need is at your fingertips. Watching the whales from the deck was amazing. We snorkeled everyday and discovered 'just out our backdoor' was the best. The water was crystal clear at the Honua Kai, uncrowded and it is the only location where we saw the amazing turtles! We spent each sunrise, sunset and evening on the deck and truly enjoyed the tranquility. It was wonderful to have the quiet surroundings and no structure next door."
