  • A Hidden Treasure

"We originally chose this place because it was in a wonderful location at Napili Bay for a great value to celebrated our 1st anniversary, and we just have to say, we were delighted! We started each morning enjoying our coffee with a beautiful view of the turquoise water and Molokai from the lanai, followed by a beachwalk accessible just down the stairs. We swam and snorkelled each day, watched sunsets over cocktails at the Seahouse restaurant, and were lulled to sleep each night by the lapping of the waves. Our little condo was so cosy, had everything we needed and Richard was so wonderful to work with on the arrangements, as well as leaving beautiful topical flowers and fresh bananas in the room for us from his farm. We definitely recommend this place and hope to return next year:)"

  • HIghly Recommend

"We had not been to Hawaii at all, so everything we booked we crossed fingers and hoped for the best!. Had read on other sites for other properties in different areas, how the photos been showed were in some cases 10years old so not very up to date and therefore not that accurate. Wow, we were not disappointed with Dave and Ellens condo. The photos are exactly what you see. This is a stunning place to stay. Everything was so clean, tidy and everything was available to us. Although we chose to eat out for all our meals, we could quite easily have bought some groceries and cooked in the condo. Sleeping with the door open hearing the ocean so close was mesmerising! Oh boy - we only home 2 days and we miss Maui! We highly recommend this condo (C18), and although we are a couple there were so many families snorkelling in the bay with the turtles! What a great experience. Lahaina is only 10-15minute drive away, so if you want quiet and beautiful scenary, you can stay around Napili, and if you want to do a bit of shopping and have a selection of restaurants then Lahaina is only a stones throw away. - you have best of both worlds.! And to top it all, before we arrived in Maui, Ellen wrote us a really informative email about where we could eat, buy groceries, hire snorkel gear, and things to do. Definitely recommend, - we plan to come back. thanks Dave and Ellen."

  • Good, clean place with excellent beach access!

"Dan and Donna have an excellent, affordable place in a great location! The overall condo is very well maintained. Fully equipped kitchen, which we used often! There are also a ton of beach gear that is provided, including chairs, coolers, umbrella, beach toys (for kids), etc. This was so helpful! The Napili Shores overall is very well maintained. The pools are in excellent condition, BBQ right outside our lanai doors. Very family friendly. And you MUST eat breakfast at The Gazebo on the water. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and you can wait for about 1 hour to get in. They open at 7:30AM, but if you want the first seating with little to no wait time, get there to get in line at 7:00AM. Or, you will be waiting! They are known for their breakfast and people come from other hotels just to eat there. The Napili Bay has excellent beach access and snorkeling. There were multiple turtles each day we went out in the water. Very busy on the weekends, again people come from other hotels to snorkel in the Napili Bay. The water is crystal clear and it's like you are swimming in a aquarium! We have been to Maui before and Napili is by far our favorite spot. Highly recommended! Kapalua is just up the road (less than .5 miles), which has nice running and walking trails open to the public. Only CON: There is no air conditioning in the unit. It was really hot while we were here and only had an overhead fan over our bed and a small free-standing black fan that I kept close to the bed. It was honestly hard to sleep at night, but if you can live without AC, this is a great, affordable place to have a vacation! Hope this review was helpful!"

  • Nice spot near great beach

"Spent a month there in December and enjoyed it very much. The one bedroom unit comes with everything that you need for an extended stay, the owners have done a great job of provided whatever you are likely to desire. The unit is cozy, less than 600 sf, but the owners have optimized all of the space with nice furnishings and clever storage. The unit is about 10 minute walk to Napili Beach in a residential complex, it is not part of a resort. There is a partial ocean view from the lanai and the storage closet off of the lanai offered snorkel gear, boogie boards, misc. beach toys, a small cooler, and fabulous beach chairs for your use. The living room includes a sofa bed, two chairs, tv and small stereo, games (backgammon, cribbage, scrabble), and some very nice Hawaiiana decor. The kitchen is small but includes microwave, full range, full refrigerator, every pot and pan that we needed in a month, blender, dishwasher, and all the dishware and silverware you will need. It is very complete. There were various condiments, oils, flour, sugar, etc. in stock on a "replace when you use them up" basis. We found this very convenient as we made many meals at home. There is a small dining table with three chairs adjacent to the kitchen. The bathroom is small but includes enough storage, tub/shower combo, and all of the paper goods and cleaning goods needed for an extended stay. There is a washer and dryer off of the bathroom that allowed us to pack all of our clothes in a carry-on. The bedroom is on the end of the unit closest to the parking lot and there is some noise from the nearby road and people leaving for work in the a.m. There is plenty of closet space, a good queen mattress, more nice decor, a dresser, and extra linens and several beach towels. Once again, the owners have anticipated a visitors needs. Parking is convenient. There are two sets of stairs between parking and unit. Things you should know. This is a residential neighborhood rather than a resort, normal working people living their lives here. These units were originally built as employee housing for Kapalua and thus are not fancy, although the owners did a good job of softening the edges. The unit would be better suited for two or three than four people. A couple with a child or couple would be fine. It is small and dining table is set for three. Finally, Napili is a great beach and this unit provides walking distance access to Napili and Kapalua at a very reasonable cost."
