  • Felt like home~

"The condo was clean and inviting, has everything we needed for our 1 week stay. We especially enjoyed the lanai, the view of molokini and little geckos on the wall. The ice chest, boogie boards, beach towels, hats, were all such nice things to have available. The location is excellent, right next to shopping center and across the street from a beautiful beach."

  • Doesn't get any better!

"We stayed in this condo for 10 nights (2 couples) and it was just as nice as the photos and reviews say it is. The accommodations are perfect and comfortable, the location is exactly where you want to be and the views are amazing. I don't have one negative thing to say. So, book it...don't wait or go anywhere else! This was my fourth trip to Hawaii and have stayed in many different condos. You won't be disappointed."

  • Wonderful condo for our Maui getaway

"My husband and I had an AWESOME time in Maui. This condo was a wonderful retreat after being out seeing the sights, snorkeling or lounging at the pool. Kamaole Sands was a beautiful place. Sitting on the lanai for breakfast, and enjoying the breeze out there in the afternoon was one of the best parts of our stay. All the amenities that are provided in the condo were so helpful, (i.e. the coolers, beach bags, beach towels, ice blocks for coolers etc.) those conveniences helped make our outings so simple! The trade winds that come through the condo make it so pleasant. Ileene was great to work with, she was so helpful with any questions, and had some great advice for our first visit to Maui. Kamaole Sands was also a great location for us. There are stores and restaurants within walking distance. We took surfing lessons just up the street at Waves Hawaii, and the drive to snorkel at turtle town in Makena is only about 10 min. We can't say enough about how everything worked out so great. What a wonderful surprise to find a pleasant, clean and well equipped condo in a beautiful area for such a reasonable price (in Hawaii)!! Thanks Ileene for such a wonderful first time rental experience!!"

Maui Travel Tips

The Pleasures of Maui Condos Found on Hawaii

Maui, Hawaii is not all about resorts with high-priced beach rooms. You can also find modest accommodations with Maui vacation rentals. The rentals can offer you enough space for a few couples or an entire family to enjoy the sunsets and relax on the beaches nearby. This tropical paradise provides more in a vacation than you might be able to fit in, with canopy tours, snorkeling, beach days, natural parks, and shopping. Each day, it is possible to wake up and enjoy a different sort of fun no matter your pleasures.

The Tale of the Lassoed Sun

Like much of the world, there are always origin stories in how a land formation formed and Maui is no different with the tale of the Island. It is said the Demigod Maui used a magic fishing hook to pull the Hawaiian Islands up one by one from under the sea. This magic was also used to gain more daylight hours from the sun. By lassoing the sun. Maui persuaded it to offer more light so that the crops would grow and make his people prosperous. Of course, it is just a tale, a slightly romantic and beautiful story, though the truth is much different. Nonetheless, you as a tourist can always help protect Maui's unique ecosystems by supporting American Reef Coalition-MAUI.

Maui has the volcano Haleakala which erupted many times to form the mountainous island. The last eruption of Haleakala was in 1790. It has formed Hawaii's 728 square miles, making it the second-largest island. During the year, about 128,000 residents remain on the island along its west coast and northern shores. At the height of tourist season, Maui can see millions of visitors travelling by cruise ships and plane.

Points of Interest by Maui Lodging

Travel to Maui would not be complete without stopping at some of the points of interest found near Maui lodging. The first place one might wish to travel from Maui condos would be Hakeakala National Park. You may want to use the kitchen offered at your accommodations to fix a picnic lunch, as it is a majestic spot to eat and watch the wildlife surrounding you. Hawaii is nothing if not verdant with forests and inhabited by numerous wildlife species both on land and in the water. The national park is a 27-mile drive through plantation and ranch land, where one reaches 7,000 feet above sea level. Hakeakala is considered the “House of the Sun,” where you can view the crater below that is characterized by cinder cones and black lava. The park grounds are open daily for 24 hours, allowing you to arrive early in the morning for the sunrise and to remain for the sunset.

The best beaches for swimming, snorkeling, or scuba diving are found on the western and southern shores of Kapalua vacation villas. They are the safest, as well as wonderful for shelling. The Ocean Activity Center at Wailea and Sports Centers at Kihei lodging are well known for their water activities including boating, wind surfing and much more.

Anyone who visits Maui should take advantage of the available helicopter tours, Pineapple Express tour, and the volcanic tours to be found on the massive island. Even a canopy tour to see the island in a different light is a must.

Cuisine on the Island of Maui

Maui has a greater influence from Asian countries than it does from America in regards to cuisine. When visiting Maui, one can find numerous restaurants offering sushi, Japanese, and Chinese cuisines. Even to a certain degree, the cuisine will offer top Filipino choices. Thailand cuisine is also a favorite among local residents. For those staying in Maui vacation rentals, it is possible to make numerous fresh dishes with the fish you catch and the fresh food markets spread throughout the island. If you do not find the Hawaiian cuisine to your taste, you can always stick with what you enjoy.

The Importance of Climate in Hawaii

For those who have not yet travelled to Hawaii, it can seem interesting that they do receive snow in the winter months. This is kept in the higher elevations and thus makes the climate in Maui important to your travel plans. Maui has mild temperatures and a great deal of rainfall. For the most part, you will experience tropical weather but the wind can be a factor, often making for the best surfing.
