  • Amazing Molokai experience

"Everything about our stay at Geoff's and Lisa's cottage was wonderful. The Molokai experience was just what we were looking for as we'd visited some of the other islands and disliked the crowds and traffic. We not only had our own private beach here, we had entire beaches to ourselves when we went sightseeing. There were 4 of us sharing the larger cottage, and it was very comfortable, nicely furnished and had everything we needed for our week's stay. The soaking tubs were great to relax in with a cocktail. All of the "locals" were extremely friendly and helpful. So many tried to help the guys with their fishing gear and what to use for bait. Our neighbor, Dino, always had an idea to try and he shared some of his catch with us. He and Minnie bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. We teased them about barbecueing one of their roosters as it gave us early morning wake ups but we enjoyed the gorgeous sunrises each day. The property is very lush and the private beach would be an ideal area for small children to swim. It was fun for us too. We definitely would like to come back again and would recommend this true Hawaiian aloha experience to everyone."

  • A true get away from civilization, but with amenities

"Unobstructed view/walk to the surf. Wake to the sound of tropical birds; turkeys, Mynas, Red crested cardinals and lots more made their regular rounds each day. Condo is spacious and has good shower, kitchen and king size bed. Internet is not easy to get onto and smoke alarm was beeping that it needed new battery. But it was easy to unplug from civilization and just listen to the surroundings. You definitely need to rent a car but the remote locale is worth it. Very private."

  • Excellent Condo!

"We enjoyed our week at your condo. It is a quiet location and well kept up. The beaches are fantastic and nearly deserted; in my opinion some of the best in the world. The unit has beach towels and mats and chairs, fins, mask, snorkel, boogie boards, tennis racquets and balls, which is a nice touch. The complex is well kept, and the pool very very nice. We had good wireless and cell reception in the unit, so you can stay in touch a little bit, but the main reason to come to Molokai is to relax and do nothing for a few days!"

  • Molokai for Old-Time Hawaii

"This is our second time staying at Bob's condo at the Wavecrest resort. The first time for one week and recently for a one-month stay. The condo was very clean with a nicely updated kitchen. There are beautiful ocean views from inside the condo and on the patio looking over to the island of Maui. We could see whales from the patio. Other reviews have mentioned the roosters crowing in the morning. We closed the bedroom window at night and I used earplugs and got a good nights sleep. There is no air-conditioning in the unit, but the ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room kept us cool. The oceanfront pool and cabana are very nice features of the property. It is a small resort, and it is easy to meet people. The beach out front is not a good swimming beach as it is an ancient fish pond with a muddy bottom. There are beaches 3 miles and 7 miles from the condo for swimming and snorkeling (and also on the West End). The Wavecrest resort is 13 miles east of the town of Kaunakakai. We made most of our meals at the condo (often using the barbecues by the pool) and saved our dining out for when we were exploring the island and in town for the Saturday market. There is also a small grocery store and good walk-up diner/window for take-out food 3 miles from the condo. We enjoyed the ukulele jam sessions on Tuesdays at the coffee store and Fridays at Hotel Molokai. Molokai is NOT the island for you if you want lots of nightlife, fancy restaurants and high-end shopping malls. We like Molokai because of the uncrowded, laid-back lifestyle-no chain stores, no traffic jams, no reason to rush around from one tourist activity to another! We enjoyed exploring the Island-the West End beaches, the Kalaupapa lookout and Sugar Mill Museum, the beautiful Halawa Valley on the East End, hiking, etc. And plenty of time for swimming in the pool, relaxing in the sun and reading. The booking process was easy with Bob, and he called to make sure everything was fine after we arrived. We hope to stay here again when we return to Molokai. Mahalo Bob for Molokai Magic!"
