"It was a little strange driving into the complex because it seemed like a ghost town. However, that's one of the things we liked about it! Very quiet, private, and cozy location with awesome views and a quick step to the ocean. Do come prepared to cook your meals in the condo, which provides everything needed except the food, or plan to drive 35 minutes each way whenever you want a meal. If you are looking for night life and lots of tourist activities, choose a different island. Molokai is extremely laid-back and quiet. A flock of wild turkeys and a peacock came up on the lanai to say goodbye the morning we checked out. Aloha!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Wavecrest. The owner, John, called to make sure we were set prior to arrival and checked in after arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. Though I am not sure what that might have been as the condo was very well appointed with everything one might need:including a kitchen with every imaginable utensils, reading material, several pairs of binoculars for whale watching from the lanai/balcony overlooking the ocean about 100ft away, with views of Maui and Lanai, and the the humpback whales playing! The furnishings were clean and comfortable. The surrounding grounds offered a nice pool, with a barbaque area, a smal beach OK for fishing. Beautiful serene location to relax, close enough to Kauanakakai for shopping at the farmers market on Saturday a.m.and supplies and Halawa valley for beautiful scenery and waterfalls as well as cultural tours, and great snorkeling beaches nearby (driving distance). Also and easy drive for a hike or mule ride into the Kalaupapa peninsula for beautiful scenery and a lesson in history of the leper colony. We intend to return for another relaxing vacation!"

"My family recently took a week off work and visited the island of Molokai. We rented two homes through Leslie Dunbar. Each had a lovely waterfront setting and two bedrooms. They were both well furnished with everything necessary for a lovely stay. Our group included two grandparents (us), and our daughter and her husband with their two small children. We rented a car so we could explore the island and must say that a car is a must. We booked a whale watching tour which was spectacular (we could also see the whales from the deck of each home) and toured the island. It was a lovely vacation but there are caveats. Molokai is not Maui or Honolulu. You will find more of the original Hawaii here. The scenery is beautiful but the amenities are not for the pampered. Have a sense of adventure and go see the whales!"
