  • Awesome little Condo!

"Thanks Barbara and Cal for sharing your piece of paradise with us. It was exactly what my husband and I needed. The condo is described perfectly. We enjoyed Dolphins and whales while at the pool and whales from the Lanai and of course my new Turkey friends. I will miss them standing out front of the Lanai at 6:30 am sharp waiting for me to get up. Andrea and Stuart Prince George, British Columbia"

  • The true Hawaii is Waialua Molokai

"All I can say is 5 days in Molokai is just not enough if you love the real Hawaii. Molokai is truly the friendly Island. We loved staying at Peter's home and so did our service dog Russett. The sound of the ocean right at your back door makes all your cares just melt away. Everyone we met was so nice, the neighbors and especially Auntie Jo. We just loved getting up in the morning and walking along the beach. We also loved snorkeling and kayaking. We just can't wait to go back. Mahalo to Peter for sharing his little peace of paradise:) Aloha, Art, Marsha & Russett"

  • Couldn't Possibly Be Nicer!

"We stayed at Pu'unana over Thanksgiving weekend. What a beautifully ideal spot. Our host communicated by email and was wonderfully friendly and helpful. The cottage was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. We slept great in comfortable beds with the sound of the surf and wind at night. The little lawn with a picnic table and coconut palm was idyllic. I went out snorkeling in front of the cottage, where there seemed to be the remains of an ancient Hawaiian fish pond. Saw some interesting creatures, including a young barracuda and a moray eel. Molokai is a special place, and the Dunbar beach cottages are a true treasure."

  • Peaceful Get-Away

"The beauty, quiet and comfort of this condo -- I don't know how the owners pull themselves away from this treasure. I wish I'd stayed longer. Before I arrived, details on where to go, and things to do, gave a warm welcome. The added bonus of a car makes the trip so easy and convenient. The kind owners go out of their way in hospitality. Hike to a waterfall, drive along the ocean and view spectacular scenery, see hula-and-ukele shows at a coffee plantation, enjoy live music nightly -- and they're really good -- at Paddler's Inn, visit a macadamia nut farm, fly, hike or ride a mule to the leper colony, shop local stores and check out a choice of churches. And don't miss the "bread run" (late night fresh bread with toppings -- ask where to find the alley - there's nothing like it). Everyone is friendly and un-rushed. When not exploring Molokai, you have your choice of a pool overlooking the ocean and secluded white-sand beaches. Everything for settling in at the condo is supplied for the kitchen, bathroom, TV, videos, books. Clean appliances, and new washer and dryer. My favorite view on this idyllic island is the scene through the condo's patio doors -- the manicured lawn stretching to the ocean's waves, at dawn and dusk. Best viewed from the comfy bed."

Kawela Travel Tips

Kawela Vacation Rentals Give You Unlimited Options

You probably didn't know that Kawela vacation rentals are the best way to get the most out of a Hawaiian getaway. When planning for a Hawaiian vacation, you probably considered the capital Honolulu and the powder white sand of its Waikiki Beach. There are some amazing attractions and world class restaurants there, but the natural beauty of the island can feel intruded upon by the sheer density of tourists and tourist traps. Molokai lodging is ideal because you can enjoy private Kawela condos and have the space and amenities of a home while being located close to all of the action.

Molokai Lodging is Convenient

Molokai has a lot of great attractions. Purdy's All Natural Macadamia Nut Farm is a great place to visit and pick up some souvenirs. It is pleasantly relaxing and low key while being fun. The Coffees of Hawaii Plantation Store is another place to pick up some edible souvenirs and many travelers stop here in the mornings for their regular cup of Joe. The stunning Kaluakoi Golf Course is a Championship golf course for the golf enthusiast. If you're feeling adventurous, Molokai Mule Ride will have you riding a mule down a cliff that measures 1800 feet. It's exhilarating and scary and some have even said that it cured their fear of heights!

Stay in Kawela Condos, Play Where You Want!

If you still feel drawn to the offerings of Honolulu, you can always hop a flight over. Contact Pacific Wings or Island Air for their current promotion prices but they tend to be reasonably priced (and surprisingly less than taking the boat). Staying in Molokai lodging will save you money as well, so you may want to spend a day or two in Honolulu while enjoying your nights in peaceful Kawela condos. Kawela vacation rentals will give you the best of both worlds.
