Recent Molokai reviews

"Well, we just got back from our second trip to Molokai and unit 245. It felt like we were coming home. The condo is so beautifully decorated and very well equipped. Being an end unit you get to enjoy a huge lanai with lounge chairs as well as a table and four chairs for eating outside. We love that the area is quiet and you can walk to several secluded beaches with no one on them or take a short drive to Dixie Maru for great snorkeling. The little store down the road or the grocery store in the nearby town offer enough variety that you don't have to drive too far for groceries unless you want to be out exploring the island. We would deiniftely recommend this property to anyone visiting Molokai."

  • Little Taste of Heaven

"Our 1st impression of the island of Molokai, driving from the airport to Mana Hale Estate after the sun had set, was seasoned with some apprehension. Then we went through the gates of the estate and that all melted away. We were greeted with beautifully landscaped and lighted grounds and a beautiful home. After settling in we enjoyed a fabulous dinner by Chef Gene Pike, while sitting under the stars and listening to the surf. The next morning we woke to a little taste of heaven. The ocean and beach just out the back door, across the lawn and past the towering palm trees. The ocean views are spectacular, the sound of the surf is calming, and the night time star filled sky is amazing. Dinner the 2nd night was a succulent roasted pig that Ma'asi cooked on a spit he had built on the property. Chef Gene then cooked amazing dinners for us the next 2 nights. Our party included 4 couples. We used the main house, guest house, cottage, pool, and hot tub. All the accommodations were wonderful. The kitchen was great, updated/modern, and had everything we needed. The home was clean and well maintained. Jim and Ma'asi were very easy to work with. They were available to answer any questions. The beach at the estate is beautiful but the surf can be too strong for safe swimming, but beaches to swim at are close by. The island has a lot to see and experience. But plan on starting early because everything closes early. We came to relax, get away from our hectic and busy lives, and unplug. Mana Hale did just that with a little taste of heaven!"

  • Kama'aina from Kailua-Kona

"Overall experience was great. Unit was well stocked with many useful items. Just a few amenities need to be considered or improved upon. Master bathroom fan had a very loud screeching sound. Went away after leaving it on for a period of time. Was informed that there was no A/C in the unit and only ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The living room got really warm since there was no cross breeze. Was very disappointed that there was no microwave. Simple fix meals needed to be heated in the oven. Not convenient. Would still consider renting this unit again."

  • Great Beach - Nice cottage

"Thoroughly enjoyed time at this cottage. The cottage was nice and well-equipped. The beaches were just out the door, beautiful and virtually empty. The pool was nice and well-maintained. One drawback was the number of abandoned buildings directly adjacent to this unit - they do not make a good first impression upon arrival. Otherwise a good place to really get away and relax."

Kawela Travel Tips

Kawela Vacation Rentals Give You Unlimited Options

You probably didn't know that Kawela vacation rentals are the best way to get the most out of a Hawaiian getaway. When planning for a Hawaiian vacation, you probably considered the capital Honolulu and the powder white sand of its Waikiki Beach. There are some amazing attractions and world class restaurants there, but the natural beauty of the island can feel intruded upon by the sheer density of tourists and tourist traps. Molokai lodging is ideal because you can enjoy private Kawela condos and have the space and amenities of a home while being located close to all of the action.

Molokai Lodging is Convenient

Molokai has a lot of great attractions. Purdy's All Natural Macadamia Nut Farm is a great place to visit and pick up some souvenirs. It is pleasantly relaxing and low key while being fun. The Coffees of Hawaii Plantation Store is another place to pick up some edible souvenirs and many travelers stop here in the mornings for their regular cup of Joe. The stunning Kaluakoi Golf Course is a Championship golf course for the golf enthusiast. If you're feeling adventurous, Molokai Mule Ride will have you riding a mule down a cliff that measures 1800 feet. It's exhilarating and scary and some have even said that it cured their fear of heights!

Stay in Kawela Condos, Play Where You Want!

If you still feel drawn to the offerings of Honolulu, you can always hop a flight over. Contact Pacific Wings or Island Air for their current promotion prices but they tend to be reasonably priced (and surprisingly less than taking the boat). Staying in Molokai lodging will save you money as well, so you may want to spend a day or two in Honolulu while enjoying your nights in peaceful Kawela condos. Kawela vacation rentals will give you the best of both worlds.
