A true get away from civilization, but with amenities
"Unobstructed view/walk to the surf. Wake to the sound of tropical birds; turkeys, Mynas, Red crested cardinals and lots more made their regular rounds each day. Condo is spacious and has good shower, kitchen and king size bed. Internet is not easy to get onto and smoke alarm was beeping that it needed new battery. But it was easy to unplug from civilization and just listen to the surroundings. You definitely need to rent a car but the remote locale is worth it. Very private."

"Thought we were at a "Four Seasons Resort" Everything was very high end! The grounds were beautifully maintained. Very quiet and serene. Great place for a 2nd honeymoon, 3rd or 4th honeymoon? So glad Tim could accommodate us on such a short notice. Happy we found this place of paradise, so we can return for a longer stay the next time!"

"We were here 19 years ago, shortly after we first met, when this was a thriving hotel with golf course, so we were curious to see what had become of it.
The hotel and several of the condos that haven't been sold are in bad shape but the others are in good condition, standing on attractive grounds well taken care of. The condos themselves are, of course, somewhat older - but so are we :-)
However, the loft with spiral staircase that Rich had installed greatly improves the condo. With the double bed out of the way there's much more space downstairs and sleeping upstairs feels more private as well as being more convenient when one person goes to bed earlier than the other.
The kitchen is well equipped, though it has no oven, which for us Europeans is rather strange, and no (electric) kettle. The foodstuff (coffee, spices, jam ...) is on a give-and-take basis which is good as you don't have to buy every single thing you need.
There are washers ($1.75 for 30 min) and driers ($1.75 for 60 min) on site but bring plenty of quarters with you because the little shop (open every day from 9 to 5), where you can buy small bags of washing powder, amongst other things, doesn't usually
have many and doesn't like to dish them out.
Rich is forever responsive and helpful and only happy when his guests are happy. So if you want to get away from it all and experience down-to-earth Hawaii, Molokai is the
place to go. And Rich's condo with the fantastic lanai and ocean view makes everything just that little bit better.
Oh, and wifi works perfectly, in case you don't want to be completely cut off from the rest of the world."

"We really enjoyed Molokai, and this was a perfect place to stay. The unit is lovely, and had absolutely everything we needed in a lovely, well cared for complex. We were a 5 minute walk to a fabulous beach for walking and viewing the surfers and the sunsets. The strolls through the deserted golf course provide great bird watching and peaceful seclusion. There are numerous other beaches to walk to and the best swimming beach is only a ten minute drive away. The island seems like what I imagine Maui would have been 75 years ago-so unspoiled! Dan was so helpful providing information and island tips."
