  • Amazing Molokai experience

"Everything about our stay at Geoff's and Lisa's cottage was wonderful. The Molokai experience was just what we were looking for as we'd visited some of the other islands and disliked the crowds and traffic. We not only had our own private beach here, we had entire beaches to ourselves when we went sightseeing. There were 4 of us sharing the larger cottage, and it was very comfortable, nicely furnished and had everything we needed for our week's stay. The soaking tubs were great to relax in with a cocktail. All of the "locals" were extremely friendly and helpful. So many tried to help the guys with their fishing gear and what to use for bait. Our neighbor, Dino, always had an idea to try and he shared some of his catch with us. He and Minnie bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. We teased them about barbecueing one of their roosters as it gave us early morning wake ups but we enjoyed the gorgeous sunrises each day. The property is very lush and the private beach would be an ideal area for small children to swim. It was fun for us too. We definitely would like to come back again and would recommend this true Hawaiian aloha experience to everyone."

  • Tranquillity and Peace

"This little cottage is without a doubt the most tranquil and lovely spot I have stayed at in Hawaii. I've rented six different VRBO houses, one on Molokai and on the other Islands. And, while I've loved those vacations, this was absolutely the loveliest setting with wonderful 'neighbors' far enough away from the residence so if you wanted to, you could go days without seeing another person. Lovely seclusion at the beach too. We took the kayaks out at dawn in the peace and watched the sun rise up from the ocean. The beach and reef are awesome, and the snorkeling we were discovering at the end was the best we had seen at Molokai. Straight out and to the left before the breakers. We even saw a little seahorse on our trip back in. Lovely waters. If you love peace, and want a place to recharge your 'batteries'... a retreat.. this is the place for you. It is an adventure, too, with the fresh fruit and fish that James and Lauren share with the cottage tenant... and be sure to ask James to get some fresh shrimp for you if you like it... the best I have ever had."

  • Aloha Beach House and Moloka'i---a perfect match!

"Stayed 10 days at the Aloha Beach House and it could not have been better. The house really is steps away from the ocean. What the pictures of the interior don't show is that you're only seeing the bottom half of the rooms. There are wonderful vaulted ceilings especially in the great room (living, dining, kitchen) and master bedroom which provide light and air. It's instant therapy! You just feel lighter and happier. The house is located on the east end of the island, which is wetter. We enjoyed (probably because we're from Oregon) the rain several nights and the variable weather. The ever-changing views of the ocean, Maui and Lana'i were fantastic! And the most unbelievable thing was you could stand in the ocean at low tide a few hundred feet from the beach and see absolutely no one else in the water or on the beach. Hard to believe in this noisy, crowded world. Do your research on Moloka'i. No real night life and no 24/7 businesses but an incredible place to visit. And the beach house is highly recommended. Washer/dryer was enormous plus and house equipped with pretty much everything you'll need."

  • Wavecrest Unit A-214

"We were on Molokai during the week Hurricane/Tropical Storm "Ana" approached the Hawaiian Islands. We had a wonderful time, "Ana" notwithstanding, or maybe even because of it: this unit is so comfortable, it was like being at home on the day when we were house-bound. We're still talking about the fabulous view, which allowed us to watch the storm approach and pass by. And then, of course, the amazing sunrise/sunset views! We had our breakfasts on the lanai almost every day, and loved the feel of the trade winds blowing through: nature's air conditioning! We hope to return to Molokai someday, and when we do, we'll look forward to returning to this unit. It's the best!"
