  • Kama'aina from Kailua-Kona

"Overall experience was great. Unit was well stocked with many useful items. Just a few amenities need to be considered or improved upon. Master bathroom fan had a very loud screeching sound. Went away after leaving it on for a period of time. Was informed that there was no A/C in the unit and only ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The living room got really warm since there was no cross breeze. Was very disappointed that there was no microwave. Simple fix meals needed to be heated in the oven. Not convenient. Would still consider renting this unit again."

  • Amazing family home

"This was our second time in a row to Molokai with our twin toddlers. We toured almost every home for rent on west end of island on our first trip, knowing we would return. In the end, we picked this home for a one month stay. It is INCREDIBLE. Your jaw will drop when you open the door....just as the description by the owner states...it is indeed, luxurious. We arrived on December 22nd from Calgary, Alberta. We were immediately met by the wonderful caretaker Connie Taylor who became our good friend throughout our stay. It's nice to have the caretaker right on property, because if you need anything....Connie was there to help out. The pictures don't even do the home justice. The big, open living room, tv room, kitchen, and dining room is gorgeous. It's so nice to be in the kitchen preparing meals, and having an unobstructed view outside and to the television. Not to mention, it's super roomy....which is a must with 3 year old twins running around! The bedding, towels, mattresses etc are high end and very cozy, but I have to say the highlight of this home is the lanai. It is truly spectacular. On top of that, the landscaping and grass area is stunning. A great place for kids to run! If you're a cook -- the kitchen is a dream. Tons of room and everything you need from a Vita-Mix, to a juicer etc. I honestly could go on and on -- but you'll want to experience it for yourself. We have fallen in love with Molokai. It is a true gem. We live very busy lives and wanted a quiet, peaceful, relaxing place to escape to, and Molokai is it. This home made our second trip there, unforgettable. Thank you to the owners and Connie for such a great vacation! Brienne, Jason, Bodie and Steele Glass High River, Alberta"

  • The true Hawaii is Waialua Molokai

"All I can say is 5 days in Molokai is just not enough if you love the real Hawaii. Molokai is truly the friendly Island. We loved staying at Peter's home and so did our service dog Russett. The sound of the ocean right at your back door makes all your cares just melt away. Everyone we met was so nice, the neighbors and especially Auntie Jo. We just loved getting up in the morning and walking along the beach. We also loved snorkeling and kayaking. We just can't wait to go back. Mahalo to Peter for sharing his little peace of paradise:) Aloha, Art, Marsha & Russett"

  • Everything for a relaxing holiday

"We stayed here for 10 days in March 2014. Had problem finding unit due to odd numbering system but luckily one of residents helped us out. Unit is lovely, absolutely everything catered for, no need to buy seldom used items like condiments etc as plenty available. Kitchen very well equipped with everything we needed. Bed very comfortable. We did find not having glass in top half of windows in bedroom draughty as the weather was quite windy and wet for couple days when we first arrived. Again owner had thought of everything and we piled on the extra blankets stored under the bed. We didn't need fans at all as weather not hot enough. (We used to live in Middle East where 30 deg upwards is the norm.). Views from Lanai beautiful as were sunsets. Beach mostly deserted, great for taking wave/surf photos or just sunbathing. Pool ideal to cool off when weather warm enough. We were kindly supplied with local information by agent, very useful. At first it seemed to be a long drive into town but we got used to it, specially as there is hardly any traffic on the road and scenery lovely. Local fruit/veg farm on the way (kumu) definitely worth stopping at. The little shop on the site also stocks things you might forget or run out of. Staff on site very friendly. A car is needed to see the Island although there is a free bus service which stops at the complex and takes 10-15 minutes into town. Would highly recommend this unit for a relaxing stay on a beautiful island. We wished we had booked it for much longer and hope to return sometime in the future."
