"We had a great stay here for 9 days and Susanne could not have been a better hostess! We snorkeled, swam in the ocean, hiked, ate great food and lounged by the pool. The hot tub was a great option too. The cats were so cute and visited us every day. We slept like the dead in the comfortable bedroom too. It was like a second honeymoon, quiet and yet close to all the action. Highly recommend this place. Still beaming about it although we've been back in Colorado for a few days. Thanks Susanne, you rock!!!"

"This condo is totally awesome! My husband and I stayed in two other condos in the Ilikai and this one is the best by far. From the moment you open the door, the view of the lagoon and ocean is amazing! We have watched whales from the lanai for several days in a row--thrilling! The bed is very comfy, as is the pull out sofa bed. The furniture is great for stretching out for a nap or curling up with a book while still enjoying the ocean view. The owner is friendly and attentive to details. The pineapple and palm tree theme throughout is charming, including the dishes and motif in the tiled shower/bathroom. We are renting for multiple months and are very pleased with our choice!"

"Let me begin to say this is my 3rd time visiting Oahu, Hawaii. The other 2 times I stayed with friends locally and also at a hotel. And boy, the experience of having your own very nice house is completely different and soooo worth it if you're going with a large group. We always do that rather than get separate hotel rooms.
This was a family trip of 11 that we took for my grandmother's 90th birthday. We had 9 adults and 2 teens ages 13 and 15 in our group. We rented 2 minivans and I was basically the director most of the time with all the activities and amenities there. My family is fairly new to renting homes as they are used to just getting a hotel. This has got to be the top 2 of all the homes I've ever rented on VRBO/Homeaway, and I've rented over 15 vacation homes in the last 4-5 years since I have been introduced to it.
Our flight was probably one of the last flights in that night and I was in constant communication with Leilani (who I emailed to get the home) and Noelani (who texted me the week before and the time we were there). Noelani told me that she would be waiting for us at the house upon our arrival. I felt so bad for her bc our flight got delayed and we arrived even later at around 10pm. Most houses I have rented usually just give us an entry key code, but Noelani was there to personally greet my whole family and me and also asked if we wanted her to have tea going for us when we arrived at the house. Idk, maybe it's a Hawaiian thing bc everyone here in Hawaii is SUPER nice! Not a fake nice either, just genuinely nice. It's infectious! Of course navigating with 2 cars full of people and luggage in the dark wasn't easy. Noelani knowing this bc we were texting back and forth, even went and stood outside by the mailbox at the end of the driveway (super long driveway btw) in the dark to wait for us to aid us in finding the house. Who does that? And who even works at 10 pm for a real estate office? She greeted us with friendly smiles and gave us a quick tour. I then found out that her company just recently took over the house listing. We were all super excited running through the house choosing our beds and were even greeted with a HUGE gift basket full of Hawaiiam goodies and snacks.
Since we arrived at night, we could hardly see what was waiting for us outside these walls of windows. So the next morning we all woke up at around 6 am and was even more excited to see what our house and scenery looked like. Boy was it breathtaking!"

Great location, nice house, lack of comfortable outdoor space
"We returned 2 weeks ago from a 10 night stay in this rental. Overall, the house was comfortable and well suited for a family with kids. The kitchen is beyond well stocked -- everything we could think about was there. We also loved the collection of beach paraphernalia, some provided by the owner and some left behind by past guests. We added to the collection to 2 more boogie boards! The home's location is fantastic, within a 5-10 minute walk from great beaches, food trucks and the grocery store. The layout of a house was good, and the view is as good as promised from the photos. The 3rd bedroom (with 2 twins) is really small, so my girls argued about who'd get the much larger 2nd bedroom but both were fine.
Had it not been for 3 things, we would have easily given the house 5 stars. Those 3 reasons are:
1) It was hot - almost unbearably hot - in the house most of the time. The ceiling fans did very little to cool it and the house had only 2 freestanding fans, which we used in the 2 kids rooms so my husband & I roasted each night. It was hotter than normal when we were there (high 80's), so maybe we just got unlucky. Even one more freestanding fan for our bedroom would have helped.
2) There was a lack of comfortable places to lounge outside. The outdoor furniture is mainly plastic and several chairs, including 1 of the 2 lounge chairs, were broken. The 2 lounge chairs were on the upstairs deck, which was severely lacking in charm, had a really awkward layout (it's divided into 2 small areas on either side of the stairs) and was WAY too hot during the day to hang out on. I'd really hoped for a hammock or some other comfy place to recline outside, but there wasn't any.
3) The living room furniture is really cute but really uncomfortable. Between that and a lack of lounge chairs outside, there weren't many places to just lay back and lounge except for the beds.
Nick did a great job communicating with us. I was a little unnerved about having to pay such a large deposit in cash upfront, but everything worked out ok."
