  • Great vacation rental

"Our group of nine adults was extremely please with our rental of Helen's Beach House. The local was great-just as described. We enjoyed walking on the beach and also walking to the stores in Kailua Town-about 1 mile away. The listing photos were accurate-no unpleasant surprises. The house is spacious, clean and well maintained. Ingrid and Debra were very responsive to our questions and needs. I would recommend this property to family and friends."

  • Great stay

"Great stay on the northeast side of Oahu. Modern amenities and just the right amount of room. Terri and Dave are great - a wealth of knowledge is contained between the two. Good location- a few short blocks to the ocean and 25 minutes to the lights and attractions of Honolulu."

  • Highly recommended

"Our week at the Lanikai bungalow with its feel of a laid-back treehouse was the perfect setting for a second honeymoon. A relaxed, homey respite that was perfect for our needs. Though the weather was hot and humid, the ceiling fans and two lanais provided cool breezes. One night we had a huge thunderstorm that was kind of exciting! Lynn and her son who live in the main house were wonderful hosts, completely unobtrusive but very helpful when we needed them. We walked to the fabulous Lanikai beaches, climbed the Pillbox Hiking Trail and had a couple of easy day trips to Honolulu for the ukelele festival and the newest Pearl Harbor exhibits. The only thing we regret is not kayaking out to the Mokulua Islands. Next time..."

  • great home, but noisy street

"Loved the home. It's very clean and well stocked with everything we needed to feel at home. The kids liked the space and the toys. The beach towels and toys also came in handy. There were a couple of small roaches when we came in. These were quickly taken care off and we did not have any trouble thru the stay. Our home was also a block away from the beach and it was refreshing to just walk down to the beach with kids in tow. The home was large enough for a family of four, including a very active 4 year old and 2 year old. We did not have any trouble using the convection oven and hot plate. home is also very conveniently located, little over a mile away from Kailua Town and Whole Foods, Safeway etc. On the downside, the street noise is pretty significant. Neighbors are busy using lawn equipment all thru the day, sometimes starting as early as 7am!! Another minor gripe is that the home is above the garage. Every time the tenants below used their garage, the rumbling of the garage door would go through our home."
