"Our family of four loved our stay at the cottage this past June. We’ve stayed in many properties in Lanikai and this is now on the top of our list. It’s a well-stocked, very tidy, newer cottage with all you need to feel comfortable in your ‘home away from home’. Nancy was an excellent hostess, providing the initial tour of the home and giving helpful hints and ideas about plans for around the island whenever we ran into each other. She was never intrusive and was always friendly. (A quick note about privacy, the view to/from the cottage and the owners residence is blocked by a tall grove of palms. So although you are on property with the owner you really do feel like you’re in your very own retreat). The entire cottage is very, very clean. We were so happy that such detail was put into the maintenance of this house. The kitchen has more than ample space to cook, however we made use of the outdoor grill rather than cook indoors. The outdoor table and chairs could be moved around the property to find the ‘just right spot’ for dining in or out of the sun. There are two comfortable sitting chairs on the porch for having your morning coffee. We were so thankful for the full sized washer and dryer (so helpful when you have kids in tow). Bedrooms were quiet and comfortable and the linen fresh and crisp upon arrival. There’s even a selection of beach chairs and various sand toys along with some snorkeling gear available to borrow. There’s also an outdoor shower to clean off the sand and toys available. We timed it to be an 8 minute walk (we had a plodding 9 year old with us so you couldn’t go too quickly) down to the nearest sandy beach entrance. We love the location, the property and the setting. It was a perfect home base to explore the beauty that the island holds. We hope to be back to this cottage and enjoy it again soon!"

"Let me begin to say this is my 3rd time visiting Oahu, Hawaii. The other 2 times I stayed with friends locally and also at a hotel. And boy, the experience of having your own very nice house is completely different and soooo worth it if you're going with a large group. We always do that rather than get separate hotel rooms.
This was a family trip of 11 that we took for my grandmother's 90th birthday. We had 9 adults and 2 teens ages 13 and 15 in our group. We rented 2 minivans and I was basically the director most of the time with all the activities and amenities there. My family is fairly new to renting homes as they are used to just getting a hotel. This has got to be the top 2 of all the homes I've ever rented on VRBO/Homeaway, and I've rented over 15 vacation homes in the last 4-5 years since I have been introduced to it.
Our flight was probably one of the last flights in that night and I was in constant communication with Leilani (who I emailed to get the home) and Noelani (who texted me the week before and the time we were there). Noelani told me that she would be waiting for us at the house upon our arrival. I felt so bad for her bc our flight got delayed and we arrived even later at around 10pm. Most houses I have rented usually just give us an entry key code, but Noelani was there to personally greet my whole family and me and also asked if we wanted her to have tea going for us when we arrived at the house. Idk, maybe it's a Hawaiian thing bc everyone here in Hawaii is SUPER nice! Not a fake nice either, just genuinely nice. It's infectious! Of course navigating with 2 cars full of people and luggage in the dark wasn't easy. Noelani knowing this bc we were texting back and forth, even went and stood outside by the mailbox at the end of the driveway (super long driveway btw) in the dark to wait for us to aid us in finding the house. Who does that? And who even works at 10 pm for a real estate office? She greeted us with friendly smiles and gave us a quick tour. I then found out that her company just recently took over the house listing. We were all super excited running through the house choosing our beds and were even greeted with a HUGE gift basket full of Hawaiiam goodies and snacks.
Since we arrived at night, we could hardly see what was waiting for us outside these walls of windows. So the next morning we all woke up at around 6 am and was even more excited to see what our house and scenery looked like. Boy was it breathtaking!"
