  • Comfortable & budget friendly.

"Hello, my review is late coming. I stayed here in the summer of 2010, but better late than never. I stayed in conjunction with a military PCS move to Hawaii. I came ahead of my Navy husband with my two children. The owner was extremely accommodating and allowed the additional guest, which was very helpful to my situation. We stayed several weeks. The owner moved us to the larger room when it became available at no additional cost. The location was great and I would stay there again in a heart beat. The owners are very, very kind and I remember our stay fondly."

  • A Piece of Aloha Paradise

"This perfect bamboo cottage was beyond our expectations. We enjoyed our 7 day stay at this amazing location (not too far from Kailua state beach, Lanikai beach and shopping centers). Stacy provided constant communication and was attentive in regards to the construction happening behind the cottage (which did not bother us). The amenities like the coffeemaker, cups, boogie boards, beach towels were all very useful! My husband and I truly recommend this little piece of paradise to anyone seeking some rest and relaxation. Definitely a two thumbs up!! Thank you Stacy for a comfortable stay."

  • DO NOT LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE! Talk about right on a private beach! Your own piece of Heaven.

"I mean directly on the world's ranked No. 1 beach, with fine soft white sand, turquoise water, gentle breeze, amazing sun rise and panoramic view. This is the best place on the Island, why would you want to go anywhere else. I did a lot of research and places say at the beach, steps from the beach, yards from the beach but they wasn’t directly ON the beach. We came to Oahu for our tenth Anniversary plus it was on my bucket list! *The outside is an amazing place. There is a direct access to the lawn sitting area in front of the beach, basically used only by the renters. We had our morning coffee, while watching the sun rise from the lawn. There is no parking fees and right in front of your own private entrance! *The apartment has a living room area to watch TV with a room divider door in case someone is still sleeping, a long large desk that we used to eat lunch or look up our plans for the day on our laptop. There is a comfortable King size bed, plenty of pillows and extra blankets in the closet. The ceiling fans and the trade winds keep the apartment very cool in the summer. How about the closet space, way more than enough room for the 4 suitcases I brought….lol There is a great kitchenette which includes a washer/dryer, how great is that! Outside they have a clothes line to hang your bathing suits up if you don’t like to put them in the dryer and an outside shower to wash off sand. You could just stay in the apartment your entire stay but you must see the sites. I recommend the Polynesian Culture Center with luau and show. It was awesome! *The owners Shari and her father Herb are warm and friendly and are there only when you need them. They have their own yard and entrance. It is very quiet and you don’t even know they are there. They have beach chairs, snorkeling masks, cooler and Boogie boards for your use. We stayed here for 4 nights and then the Outrigger Waikiki Shore on the Beach for 6 nights. The Outrigger was ok but not the privacy, not the sand, not the relaxation, overcrowded and loud. Not the price and parking was 35. a night. When I arrived in Waikiki I just kept thinking about Kailua Beach and how much I missed it. You could still stay in Kailua and travel to Waikiki for the sites. Pilipu Place is only 20-25 minutes away. So, I suggest you pick this place as you will not be disappointed. Book soon as it will book up fast! Thanks Shari and Herb for a great vacation! Miss you"

  • Excellent place to stay. A Hidden Gem!

"My husband and I stayed here for 5 days. The Ohana studio is very clean, private, large with high ceilings, bright and airy with lots of windows, comfortable, beautifully decorated and quiet. With the trade winds and fans, the A/C was never needed. The location is excellent---a 2 minute drive to beautiful Kailua Beach, close to town (restaurants, shops) and the major access routes to see sites. Tina is a kind and gracious hostess. She provided some great information for sites to see and places to eat. Our privacy was respected at all times. When we arrived at the studio, there was a nice basket of goodies and some cold water in the fridge. She brought us some nice veggie rolls one afternoon that her mother had made--a nice treat. Thanks Tina for a wonderful stay."
