"This rental is CLEAN and has EVERYTHING you could possibly need for a family stay. The owner is friendly and accommodating. The weather in Hawaii at the time was HOT but the 2 fans and AC in bedroom helped a lot. The beach access is across the street; there isnt a pedestrian cross walk but drivers will stop to let you cross the street. We would recommend this place!"Guest: AC Date of Stay: October 2014 Review Submitted: October 16, 2014View listing
"We had a wonderful week here - steps to the beach and all the amenities we had hoped for. We were far enough removed from town - it's very quiet here with little to no traffic - but close enough for our daily shopping trips. The beach was amazing for swimming, walking or just people watching. Diana and Russell accommodated our every need - all we had to do was ask. Thank goodness for the top-of-the-line washer and dryer which is very necessary in a weeklong stay at the beach! Beds were comfortable (I even lifted up the linens to see what brand it was so I could get one like it!) and the fans kept us cool all night. The kitchen, while on the small side, was plenty big enough for preparing our meals, especially with all fresh fruit and veggies available on the island. Diana told us about the Farmer's Market and we had the best fresh-grown produce I've ever eaten. OK, if you haven't guessed by now, I'd go back in a heartbeat. We had a truly magical time and we plan on visiting for our vacation next summer."Guest: Dawn Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 5, 2014View listing
"I just returned from my second trip to this Kailua beachhouse and the trip once again exceeded my expectations. We rented the home for a girlfriend's getaway, and six of us had a fantastic trip. We only left one night to go into Waikiki as the house is outfitted so well it was the perfect getaway for a relaxing trip. We went to the new Whole Foods in Kailua (a five minute drive or 20 minute walk) and picked up lots of yummy appies, salad fixings, seafood and steaks. The house has everything - lots of lawn chairs, beach chairs, boogie boards so we really enjoyed the yard and beach. We walked every day to the cute store for coffee in the morning which is about a 30 minute walk on the most gorgeous beach. The pool was a special treat to relax with a floatie and we used the bbq a lot. I travel a lot for work and stay in 4 or 5 star hotels and what I appreciate about the beach house is the casual flow and the space. The inside dining table is a large gorgeous piece of long wood and we had lots of room to share our yummy dinners. We often ate lunch outdoors on one of the patios. There are plenty of comfy chairs and a large sofa by the flat screen tv (we didn't turn it on but if you brought kids it would be a great distraction for some downtime or while you are preparing dinner). I read some of the other reviews and while the driveway is narrow, it's not a problem at all, we easily pulled in and out and walked up to the Bike Shop and rented bikes for the day (which was very fun and there is a great bike lane which goes to Lanikai). I also recommend this property for families with Grandparents as there are two master bedrooms both complete with bathrooms so you can easily spread out and still have some privacy. Thank you again!!! I can't wait to book next year's getaway!!"Guest: Brenda Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: October 2, 2014View listing
"We had such a great time exploring Kailua and enjoying the sweet, intimate cabin. We were able to barbecue at nights on the patio, sleep in the wonderful comfy bed & take full advantage of the snorkels and boogie boards in the shed. The location was perfect to walk a short distance to the beach, take a quick drive to hike and see the island from above. We hope to be back soon!!"Guest: Karri I.
