  • Like Coming Home ...

"Cathy and I stayed a week at Susanne's rental. I am a former Honolulu resident and my stay felt just like coming home. Kailua has a charm that is warm and filled with Aloha. Susanne's rental was first class. The layout and furnishings were comfortable and very nicely detailed. The bed was ever so comfortable. The bathroom and kitchenette were perfectly designed and rich with art and comfort. We sipped out coffee on the lanai alongside lush tropical landscaping. Our host, Susanne is an artist and her art beautifully adorned the unit, depicting the natural beauty and lifestyle of the Islands. All the amenities imaginable were provided - from the pool and hot tub to bikes and beach fun boogie boards, back-rests, etc. Suzanne has made this rental a delight. We look forward to our next visit! - Rick & Cathy"

  • Excellent Vacation Home Away From Home!

"My husband and I had a wonderful week-long stay at the Secluded Hideaway. The unit is incredibly clean and has lovely furnishings -- including a very comfortable bed! We loved that we could cook at the unit using the cooktop or the grill. We found the kitchen had pretty much all the tools we needed, although a new spatula would be useful (the only one we found had a broken handle). The beautiful Kailua beach is a very short walk, and another absolutely gorgeous beach, Lanikai, is only a bit further (still totally walkable). Kailua town is a short drive (5 minutes) and has restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. We also loved going to the farmer's market on Sunday morning at the local elementary school. Julianne was a wonderful and responsive host. One night, the internet went out (a cable got blown loose from the house). We emailed Julianne and she had someone out to fix it the very next morning. We loved our stay and would recommend the Secluded Hideaway to anyone looking for a relaxing, nice place to stay in Hawaii!"

  • Beautiful Beachfront Location

"This efficiency unit is right on the beach with a lanai that has a gorgeous view of the ocean. The owners provide charcoal grills and several beach items. The unit is very clean, well-maintained and has quality throughout (granite kitchen/bathroom countertops, nice tile flooring throughout with well-placed throw-rugs and very nicely decorated). We've stayed in other, less expensive, units in Kailua that are not beachfront and also poorly maintained compared to this place. We've been coming to Kailua for 20+ years and this is the best place we've stayed. We will definitely stay here again!"

  • Absolutely Perfect!

"This apartment is like a home away from home. Everything you could want from a vacation rental is there. The first thing you notice when walking in is the bright, fresh-scented open living space. The roomy bathroom is a luxury, with clean, thick Hotel Collection towels, lots of lavendar Whole Foods shower products, and a giant walk-in shower. The bed is divine, and the bedroom has a separate air conditioner, a large closet with plenty of hangers, and ample dresser drawers. There are ceiling fans in both the bedroom and living room, providing nice air flow. The kitchen is really well supplied, with a coffee maker, electric hot plate, good knives, a spacious sink, and full fridge and freezer. Beach towels and chairs, boogie boards, and coolers are all available for any outings you may have planned. So let's get real, because if you're in Hawaii, it's all about the outings. This place is a 10; location, location, location! You are within 10 driving minutes of a handful of gorgeous beaches, shopping, hiking, and sightseeing. Kailua town is 5 minutes away, where you can shop for supplies at Whole Foods or Safeway, Long's pharmacy, and hundreds of other shops and supply stores. 15 - 20 minutes gets you to Waikiki, Diamond Head, and downtown Honolulu. You're just down the road from the entry to a breathtaking 45 minute drive to the North Shore. There are so many unbelievable restaurants close by; you will want for nothing in this Kailua paradise!"
