  • Wonderful Stay!

"Our family experienced the vacation of a lifetime on Oahu and coming home to Hillside Haven each night made the trip complete. The house was perfect for our family of 4 in every way. We were welcomed with fresh fruit, coffee/tea, and island hospitality! The neighborhood was peaceful and the VIEWS from this house are absolutely breathtaking! There is a binder of brochures and sight seeing tips from the owners in the home. Their knowledge of the island and destinations is invaluable! We will definitely be back!"

  • Tropical Luxury!

"The home was more than we envisioned; it's a luxurious dream home. It's well appointed and there is plenty of room. The views are amazing, the kitchen is super and we enjoyed the bikes and kayak."

  • Good Value

"My husband and I are from Canada and stayed here in August 2014. All the reviews written are accurate depictions of the cottage, which is a quite a private add on to the back of their garage. Positive comments first: Good value for the price. Hosts are kind, thoughtful, friendly and very helpful with as much or as little interaction as you want. Quiet, peaceful, private setting. Snorkels, wave boards, beach chairs and mats a plenty. Good sized fruit basket upon arrival as well as pastry for first morning and quality fruit preserves which lasted the week. Washer-dryer was great. Back private deck and lounge chairs. Kitchen has full fridge, micro, coffee maker and hot plate. Cooking items and dishes well stocked. Comfortable bed. Nice tiled shower. 5 minute walk to the beach path. Clean quiet beach with Hawaii's aqua marine clear water. Plenty of water sports to watch and participate in if desired: kite boarding, surf sailing, long Hawaiian canoe races, kayaking, etc. Beautiful breezes. Hosts friendly and accommodating in every way. They take credit card for payment. Negative aspects: floor tiles worn and cracked in places, but serviceable and clean. Kitchen cupboards were not clean and dishes and utensils not too clean (probably from infrequent use). As stated by others, washer-dryer are in garage and garage is quite messy. There are sky lights into the room which make the room nice and bright, but when the sun is out in full, a lot of heat comes in and you can't get away from the heat as there is no air conditioning: there is no way to shade the sky lights. But the price can't be beat, and we think the negative aspects can be overlooked because of the positive points."

  • Our wonderful stay at Ginger Hale

"The suite was beautiful with lots of space, it was easy to find at night, awesome to have our own private gated driveway, and so close to the beach! My boyfriend and I really enjoyed being away from the busy city, and on a much less crowded beach. After a long and late flight, we were welcomed with a delicious fresh pineapple and everything we needed to make coffee in the morning, it was greatly appreciated. We would certainly stay there again then next time we come to Oahu."
