  • Beautiful beachfront property

"Hawaiian Sunrise is located on what may be the most beautiful white sandy beach anywhere. It's a perfect location from which to walk or run along the sand to the south, where you can swim in the tidal pool outside the house where Magnum, P.I. was filmed, or even better, to the north along a stretch of state park on the way to Bellows AFB that has a beautiful ironwood forest and few people other than locals who come out on weekends. The week we stayed with two families including 4 children between the ages of 11 and 15, the beach was great for boogie boarding every day, and calm enough for paddleboarding a couple of days. The kitchen is open and well-stocked, with a large dining table that fit our families easily when we ate indoors, and made it easy to gather while cooking. The outdoor patio also has a couple of tables if you want to dine next to the charcoal grill pits. The cottage is an adorable, private space for a couple to stay apart from the main house, and the outdoor shower with hot water was a welcome surprise. The owner was very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy a wonderful week. We can't wait to return!"

  • Wonderful accommodation, perfect location..

"I stayed in the Jungle room with my 2 children. (Anna kindly offered me an extra room with 2 kids beds for no extra charge, but we did not need it). The Jungle room was big enough for the 3 of us to comfortably stay there with a king bed and a futon. The well equiped kitchen area meant we could prepare breakfast easily. There is a laundry facility which means you can pack lightly and Anna supplied beach towels. The room was clean and comfortable. Anna was an amazing host, she dropped off a laptop for my son to use and was very kind to my children. We had the use of snorkle gear and boogie boards. I felt safe leaving the children in the home alone in the morning, (this is a huge plus for any single parent who travels with their children and wants to go for an early run). The location is AAA. The walk to the beach is less than 2 mins. The cool coffee/deli, convenience store is right across the street. The store where you can rent paddle boards and kayaks is 2 mins walk. We walked into town every night, 15 mins max. The ocean was amazing, great for paddle board and kayaks, great for kids. We saw turtles in the first few hours. Anna's husband was also extremely kind and very helpful. Thank you both. We would definitely stay here again."

  • The most Ono View ever!

"Noni was an excellent host. Great at communications, easy, clear, prompt and when we met her she had the most wonderful energy! She is a lovely artist (her work is in the studio) and a school teacher! The studio was pretty private which was interesting since it is below the main house, but we had use of a large lanai that was a wonderful place to eat dinner, stargaze and ocean gaze. The bed was huge and comfy, the linens felt amazing and the comforter was beautiful and tasteful. I loved waking up to sunrises right outside my window in the morning and feeling the trade winds blow through the sliding glass door screen. The location of this studio is amazing, right up a small hill from the beach and with covered parking included! We swam from Lanikai beach to Flat Island using boogie boards provided by the house, hit the beach daily at 7:30 am and had the trip of a lifetime!"

  • Great House!

"My husband I stayed there recently with our two year old son. We were visiting his family who live in Honolulu and this house was perfect as a home base. We stayed there for two weeks and it had everything that we could ever need. It is spacious and well furnished and the beds are very comfortable. In addition, it's all one level and the steps from one room to the other were small so our toddler negotiated them very easily. The house is in a quiet street - great for taking walks on with our son and it was only 5 minutes from the beach. We borrowed a friend's car while we were there and having garage parking was appreciated, plus there was enough room for family to visit us in the drive way (two additional spaces). There is another house directly behind the one we rented that the owners also rent out the downstairs while living upstairs and we were never bothered or even felt like others were around which is key to a vacation ;). I highly reccommend this property and we will DEFINITELY be back. Mahalo Carol for your house making this visit the best I've ever had in the 14 years I have been visiting Hawaii."
