"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lanikai House on Ohau! This is a great location, close to great beaches and away from the crowds. In fact there is great beach 200 yards from the house, just across the park. This house has lots of sleeping space and plenty of bathrooms, we had 7 people and were not cramped. The yard was steep, but we grilled and enjoyed the great outdoors every night we were there. We were there in July 2015 and it was hot! Be aware that this house is not air conditioned and it was quite warm there during the day and until about 8PM. The owner and the caretaker were very helpful and gave us some good sightseeing hints. We would definitely stay here again!!!!!"

"We really enjoyed our recent stay in Kailua! The house was perfect for my husband and me and my 2 teenage boys. We loved staying away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu, however, it was a quick enough drive to all of the touristy things we did as well. We loved the view of the lake from the lanai and said many times that we were thankful not to be looking at another hotel! We saved a lot of money cooking meals at home and the boys liked swimming in the pool while dinner was being prepared on the grill. The house has everything you need. Fun trip...was sad to come back to reality! Mahalo!"

"We stayed for over a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was the perfect location for us - close to one of the nicest beaches on Oahu, Lanikai, quiet, and with lots of good places to eat. We hired a car for our visit which I would definitely recommend - we spent a lot of time driving to different beaches that otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get to easily.
There is a great pool, and the kitchen has everything you could need - much better than staying in a hotel in Waikiki in our opinion! If you like lots of action - expensive restaurants, busy beaches, bar hopping, shopping - then Waikiki is your place. We visited for one morning and it most definitely wasn't for us. Kailua gives you a much more laid back view of the island, at a much less busy pace and the access to uncrowned beaches was what we were after. Do the pillbox hike early in the morning or evening - well worth it! Uahi Grill near the Wholefoods is also fantastic for a meal.
Susanne has lots of info available for guests in the suite and was very helpful."

"My boyfriend and I stayed at Lisa's for our final 3 nights after a 3-month long island-hop around the Hawaiian islands, and the place was really perfect for us. It is a wonderful location, very clean and well-furnished with all necessary amenities (even AC!), and Lisa and her family were very nice and extremely accommodating, especially on our short-notice booking!
We loved the King-sized bed, convenient street parking, and the easy access to beautiful Lanikai beach. The little chocolates that our hosts left for us were a small but very welcome surprise :)
I'm very careful about my accommodation selection wherever I travel, but I would definitely recommend this property to a couple or solo traveler, and would love to stay here again!
Thank you again, Lisa and family!"
