  • Wonderful relaxing beachfront family vacation!

"My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary for a week at this lovely facility with our 3 children, their spouses/partners, and our 3 grandchildren (6, 3.5, and 2). The casual, open, and protected comfort (important for young children) of the main and guest houses made this a wonderful experience for all. We combined family activities with lots of flexibility for each subgroup to venture on their own. On several occasions, most simply stayed on site to enjoy the beach and waves. There were plenty of amenities to enjoy the beach for all ages (boogie boards, sand toys for children, beach chairs, mats, good snorkel gear, towels). The outdoor shower with plenty of hot water was a big hit for everyone! Good idea to provide own hair products and soap for showers. We also appreciated the large table to seat all of us with comfort, including two booster seats for children. Lots of books, board games, cards, etc. My wife and I especially enjoyed the view and surf sounds from our master bedroom in the main house. Tides present dramatically different water conditions. Higher waves at high tide and much more shallow water for children at low tide. Waves still great to ride at low tide. If looking for the perfect waves, walk about 10 minutes down the beach until just before Waimanalo Beach Park. Sea Life Park was great for kids. Also the tide pools just across the street. Hike up the trail to the Makapu'u lighthouse was easy and full of great views...even saw some migrating whales in late April. Water calmer at Kailua and Lanikai beaches. Kitchen facilities amenable for meals at home. We had breakfasts and lunches on site. Dinners were in local restaurants or take out for eating in main house. Restaurant suggestions: Ono Steak and Shrimp Shack (very close - great for take out), Buzz's Original Steak House, and Food Company Cafe and Catering (last 2 in Kailua). Also check out the farmer's market in Kailua Thursday evening for great food and local produce. Janet was very hospitable, responsive, and helpful before, during, and after our stay. We would ALL (adults and kids of all ages) highly recommend this facility. Wonderful to enjoy the peace of the water and surrounding (some folks were meditating on the shoreline), yet close enough to the night life of Waikiki if desired. My wife and I are seriously considering returning next year."

  • Just what we wanted

"So very comfortable we could just sit back and breathe in the Hawaii breezes and way of life. Art everywhere which just made us happier. The owner was very responsive and genuinely wanted to enhance our stay Wish I was still there."

  • A Piece of Aloha Paradise

"This perfect bamboo cottage was beyond our expectations. We enjoyed our 7 day stay at this amazing location (not too far from Kailua state beach, Lanikai beach and shopping centers). Stacy provided constant communication and was attentive in regards to the construction happening behind the cottage (which did not bother us). The amenities like the coffeemaker, cups, boogie boards, beach towels were all very useful! My husband and I truly recommend this little piece of paradise to anyone seeking some rest and relaxation. Definitely a two thumbs up!! Thank you Stacy for a comfortable stay."

  • Great Vacation

"This place is all about the location. The walk to beautiful Kailua Beach Park is under 5 minutes and it is FANTASTIC!! Carly and Jeff were more than helpful with places to go and things to do and Jeff was a great help in renting Kayaks for a day. Everything you need for a day at the beach is already there!! The place is nice and private and everything is plenty comfortable. We did not use the kitchen much but it was certainly an adequate place to cook a couple of meals. Thank you Carly and Jeff we had such a wonderful time!!"
