"Wow what a great place. House well taken care of - pool for the kids and the ocean right out side of our back yard. You cannot go wrong with this place and we hope to come visit again. The beach was great and a very secure private place for our family to enjoy! Don't miss this place - book early and have a wonderful trip!!"

  • Excellent Rental

"My wife and I spent 14 days at this rental and very enjoyed our stay. The location of this rental is fantastic, which is very close to Kailua Beach. Living close to the beaches in Southern California, we could not believe that Kailua Beach far surpassed our beaches. The water is so clear and blue and so warm. In regard to the rental, my wife and I were very impressed. The grounds are nice. The owners, Ron and Sue, have bikes, beach chairs, and an ice chest for your use. We were able to park our car on their property. The bathroom and shower were of a good size. If you like to sight see, I do recommend renting a car the entire visit. The pictures of the rental were accurate, the property was very clean and well-maintained. Sue was very helpful in answering all of my questions and made a number of helpful suggestions for our stay in Kailua. The unit we rented was pleasant, on the 2nd floor with a great view of the mountains. Being a tall person, I enjoyed the Cal king size bed. We had satellite TV, a fairly fast Wi-Fi connection. The studio was a good size for two people. My wife tried to cook a full dinner, but the kitchenette does not have a stove. But the kitchenette is adequate for easy-to-make meals. There is a microwave, a refrigerator, and pots and pans. The biggest plus to this rental is the close location to Kailua Beach, the neighborhood is quiet, the grounds are nice, the studio is large and spacious, the rental price is very reasonable, the owners are nice people and honest. Areas of improvement: the chairs on the deck (lanai) were plastic and bit uncomfortable and the couch was hard on the backs. My wife and I plan on returning to Ron's and Sue's rental this coming year. We plan on bringing our four-year old grandchild with us this coming year for another stay with Ron and Sue's rental."

  • Perfect beach hideaway

"We stayed in the House of Sweet Dreams over the weekend - and we found it one of our favorite rentals in the Kailua area. We come to the island every few years to see my relatives - who live there - and always try to stay in Kailua, as we love the beach and the size of the town. And it's only 20 minutes into Honolulu. Kathy & Val are top-notch hosts - they offered to show us the beach and all around town (wish we could have spent time with them, but relatives awaited). The beach is a short block away - we walked there in our bathing suits with the beach chairs provided. This rental provided TONS of stuff for the beach: chairs, mats, boogie boards, a cooler and a big wagon to roll it down to the most perfect beach around. Additionally - the room was super comfy. The main room has a bed, dresser - lots of hangers and drawer space - and an a/c (yes!). There is a small kitchen area (which we used for morning coffee and snacks throughout the day) and a bathroom with many towels (including a giant stack for the beach). Outside the room is a private sitting area with two lounge chairs and a shaded table. We sat here each morning with our coffee as we woke up ready for another day with the rel's. Most places we have stayed we haven't even met the hosts of the home - Kathy & Val are so inviting and informative and just overall - friendly. We'd definitely stay here again and tell our friends."

  • Family reunion

"I was looking for accommodation for ourselves and a married daughter who was traveling with a 10 year girl. The criteria was two bedroom and suitable for disable access and close to the beach in Kailua. My wife and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and wanted to share with our children. Our son has lived in Kailua since 2003 when he married an American girl and have two boys. The daughter is living in Manila and flew to Hawaii to be with us. I found the accommodation met our requirements and Leonard was always helpful in response to our questions. Very impressed with the washing facilities and the box full of beach items. I recommend this accommodation to every one."
