"Our family had a great time staying here for a week over spring break. John is an ideal host - knowledgeable, approachable, relaxed, friendly, and not at all intrusive. He was easy to work with from the very outset, through the very end. The location itself is modest in size, but immaculate, modern and clean. Two bedrooms (one with double bed, the other 2 twins) were comfortable, not luxurious. Single wall unit a/c was perfectly adequate to cool entire place. With the ceiling fans on we didn't even need the a/c most of the time. Proximity to the beach is the real draw to this location - just steps away. Kailua may be getting some traffic downtown as it continues to grow, but this location remains quiet and private. We would rent here again. If you had a bicycle you could make this work. Otherwise you'd need a car."

"Our first time to Hawaii! My husband and I were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary and we rented this wonderful home with my sister, her husband, my brother and his wife. We spent 7 days and just loved it. The beach was just a short drive away and is, I think, one of the best beaches in Oahu. The house had everything you needed except food and snacks. Plenty of dishes, utensils, appliances, cleaning supplies, paper products, spices and some condiments. The house is large with plenty of room to spread out for 6 adults. There are stores and restaurants nearby and Honolulu is about 30 minutes or so away. The neighborhood is very quiet and secure. Patrick was great in that he didn't hang around but was just 5 or so houses away it we needed him. The WI-FI was convenient and there were two flat screen TV's. The house also has a nice library of DVD's and books. The pool was clean and oh so pretty at night with the lights and the fountain going. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a safe, secure and roomy place to stay."

This property more than exceeded our expectations!
"I searched the VRBO website extensively to find the perfect vacation home for my family of 10 (8 adults - ages ranging from 25 - 65 and 2 young adults - ages 18 & 20). Since this was my first time renting on VRBO, I did have some reservations. Looking at the photos I thought I had a good idea about the home but when we arrived I was even more excited to see my family's reaction. Noelani met us and gave us the grand tour and when we pulled up to the house that's tucked behind a private gate, the family didn't seemed too excited. Once we entered the front door, all of our mouths dropped in awe. This house is one of the most spacious and beautifully decorated "retreats". The rear of the retreat is near a golf course but with all of the foliage, we thought we were next to a "jungle". Waking up to the pleasant sounds of different birds was such a relaxing experience. There were days we wanted to stay in and enjoy the retreat but because it was our first time on Oahu, we planned each day out exploring the island and couldn't wait to come back to end the evening relaxing by the pool. While we knew we were next to neighbors, the foliage offered such seclusion that it didn't feel like there were any homes nearby. Noelani provided instructions for our departure and even when she arrived, she patiently waited outside as we loaded our rental cars, telling us to take our time. She wanted to ensure that we were not stressed as we arrive at the airport. A true testament to the relaxed Hawaiian culture. Even a week later, my family is still thanking me for finding the perfect vacation home. The only minor negative is that the Wi-fi wasn't strong enough to get connection throughout the massive home. I guess this isn't really a negative but gives potential renters a better sense of the size of the home. I hope this home is available when we go back in a few years...maybe as a couple's retreat. Mahalo Leilani and Noelani for making our vacation something we won't ever forget!"

"We stayed for 10 days at Hale O Ka Lani in Kailua and it was perfect for our family of four. Two double bedrooms (both ensuite) and a small single room. The beds were comfy. Most of the house is air conditioned which was great for sleeping at night. The pool was lovely just as it appears in the photos. The location within a few minutes of the beach is just wonderful. We wished we had had more time to enjoy this. Kailua itself is a great little town with every amenity and even though we were off to a plush 5 star resort on another island, none of us wanted to leave. We all look back on our stay and say it was the favourite part of our six week holiday."
