  • Perfect, peaceful home steps from the most beautiful beach!

"My daughter & I made our first visit to Hawaii in the middle of August & were fortunate enough to discover "Paradise Found" at Waimanalo Beach on Oahu. I had done a lot of research & originally had been looking for a place to stay near/on Waikiki. However, after reading all the reviews about how touristy & crowded Waikiki was, I decided we needed to find something a little less hectic on a beautiful, quiet beach. Paradise Found truly fits that bill! Karen & Brian are wonderful hosts! The suite is perfect for 2 adults but can accommodate up to 4 with the fold out futon. We visited in August & I was a little nervous that there was no air conditioning, but we were rarely inside during the day as we were out & and about enjoying our time at the beach. By evening, the cool breezes along with the fans were enough to keep us very comfortable. The location is residential & we felt like we had the gorgeous beach all to ourselves. I know if we go back to Oahu in the future this is exactly the place we'd stay at again & I have already recommended it to several of my friends."

  • Beautiful, Relaxing Setting

"We enjoyed our stay at this property very much. Foremost, the new Resident Manager (and her family) who also live at the location are wonderful. Friendly and helpful if you need anything yet very respectful of your privacy. We felt very taken care of during our week. Secondly, the indoor space is clean, bright and relaxing. There are many, many windows which let in lots of light. We enjoyed it however it does feel a little less private at times. It was just the two of us so space wasn't a problem but it is not a huge space. We imagined it best set up for a family of 4. We arrived in the middle of a heat wave :) and so wished there was air conditioning but like most private residences on the island, there was no a/c. Thirdly, the outdoor space is excellent. Beautifully landscaped. We used the pool multiple times each day (especially fun doing a late evening swim). They have pool toys to use too. The property is on the canal and a single person kayak is there to enjoy. The lanai space is very nice, quite large, with lots of different places to sit and relax. The residents were very considerate about letting us have the space all to ourselves. Best parts of our stay there ... coffee under the mango tree poolside each morning (the room does have a full sized coffee pot) and a surprise snack of homemade flan. What we would improve ... the dorm size mini-fridge with no way to make ice (although we did bring this up with them and there are plans to improve). Overall, it is a great studio on a quiet street near some of the very best beaches in Oahu."

  • Great time at beautiful Kaneohe with confortable house

"The house is perfect! I really enjoyed staying at local old house, by the sea, very quiet neighbor, close to shopping area, confortable atomsfare, so nice and lovely of everything. Very easy access from Honolulu International Airport by H3, just 10minutes to Kailua bay, 5minutes to shopping centre, safeway, foodland, very convenient area. There are some farmers market holding on Thursdays and weekends, so we just enjoyed BBQ at the confortable terrace, enjoyed fresh local vegetables and fruits in the morning. So delicious! Tropical fish is welcome us at dining room was so lovely, too! You can also find out Papaya tree at pool side, really enjoyed Hawaiian old house. Robin, a landlady, is so kind and she gave me very quick responce. Also thank you for WiFi free, free car parking space for two, great kitchen for perfect stay! We can also find out great nature, golf courses are tough but lovely view. I will come and stay again soon!"

  • Family of 4

"The rental was as pictured. Barbara was very nice and answered all our questions about the area. It is just a short walk to the beach with some snorkel gear and boogie boards provided. This side of the island is very green and tropical feeling. It is quiet and laid back, not like Honolulu. If you are looking for a family friendly, quiet location, close to the beautiful Kailua beach this is it! It was nice to have a large section of white sand beach to yourself without someone right next to you. We would come again and stay on the winward side of the island for sure. We saved $ by eating breakfast in the unit and packed our lunch. It was also nice to have a washer/dryer so we didn't have to pack as much clothes for 8 days. Thank you Barbara for your hospitality!"
