  • Absolutely Wonderful!!!

"Dear Lynette, thank you so much for having your house on VRBO. We truly had a wonderful relaxing vacation on beautiful Kailua Beach because of your home. Our group consisting of 5 adults and 3 kids fit perfectly and enjoyed all you have to offer at your home. The pool and hot tub were fabulous and the Weber BBQ was icing on the cake. BBQing has never been better! My folks visit Hawaii every year for their anniversary and treated us kids this year. Forget the hotel, your house is the way to go. My only suggestions would be games, maybe scrabble and cards as well as a small rolling cooler? But if those are my the only suggestion to make, then your place is perfect! Thank you again and I am copying and pasting your listing to all my friends!! ~ Canelis & Mulenex families"

  • Highly recommended

"Our week at the Lanikai bungalow with its feel of a laid-back treehouse was the perfect setting for a second honeymoon. A relaxed, homey respite that was perfect for our needs. Though the weather was hot and humid, the ceiling fans and two lanais provided cool breezes. One night we had a huge thunderstorm that was kind of exciting! Lynn and her son who live in the main house were wonderful hosts, completely unobtrusive but very helpful when we needed them. We walked to the fabulous Lanikai beaches, climbed the Pillbox Hiking Trail and had a couple of easy day trips to Honolulu for the ukelele festival and the newest Pearl Harbor exhibits. The only thing we regret is not kayaking out to the Mokulua Islands. Next time..."

  • Stupendous!!

"What a fabulous place! We love snorkeling and diving and the marine life right outside the house was nothing short of amazing. We were only disappointed in ourselves that we did not take advantage of all the water exploring we could have done at night until our last evening there! The octopi and eel were a sight to see and I am sure we missed much! Our boys were extremely content eating in every night and not having to suffer through the boredom of restaurants. We never wanted to leave this beautifully enchanted place! We are so looking forward to returning soon and are grateful for what this little slice of heaven gave us while we were there."

  • Loved our stay

"We are two couples in our 50's traveling from Texas. We spent 4 nights, 8/21-8/25 at this lovely cottage. Our favorite thing about the cottage is the location - just steps away from the most beautiful beach. We spent most late afternoons watching the kite-surfers and meeting people on the beach, taking advantage of the provided beach towels, chairs and boogie boards. The cottage is within easy walking distance to several restaurants, kayak rentals, beach shops, etc., super convenient. Larger grocery stores, shops and more restaurants are only about a mile away. The owners, Dick and Wanda, could not have been friendlier or more helpful. One thing I would mention is the lack of AC, which is very common in Hawaiian rentals. It was a little of a challenge for AC dependent Texans, but it was not too difficult to get use to, and it shouldn't discourage future renters. We were usually out during the hottest part of the day, and nights were fine with the windows open and fans on. I hope we are able to stay in this wonderful cottage again some day."
