"My boyfriend and I have made many trips to Oahu, but none of them have been as amazing as this last trip, when we got to stay at the Long’s at Lanikai. The property is absolutely beautiful, it has breathtaking views from every window of the home, the perfect amount of 1920’s charm, and an amazing host. We had the pleasure of listening to the lovely blue waves crash against the seawall throughout the day, and the option to get straight in the water from the steps in the backyard. We spent most of our time in the backyard and hardly left the house after checking-in. The house has everything you can possibly ask for, from the kitchen to the bathrooms. The house is in a great neighborhood, you are able to walk to the neighboring beaches, hiking trails, and parks. You will need a car to get around, but everything is just a short drive away. Grocery stores and yummy restaurants are a 10min drive away. Rick was everything you could want from a host, he was very responsive and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. He had great recommendations for things to do and made us feel like we were staying with a good friend.
We are definitely be planning another trip out to the Long's at Lanikai, very soon!"

"We rented this house for a family reunion, and it was one of the best vacations we have ever had. This house is right on the beach, which was ideal for us because we had 5 young children. No need to pack up a car every day to go to the beach! The older kids loved boogie boarding, and the younger kids went in the water (with adults) and spent hours playing on the sand. We would walk along the beach every day to get shaved ice from Island Snow, and go running on the beach in the morning. This side of the island gets constant tradewinds, so it keeps the house relatively cool. The house itself is basic and functional but tidy and well-kept. We were sad to leave but are looking forward to booking this house again for our next trip to Hawaii!"

"My husband and I are California residents who are originally from Oahu. Kailua is our favorite place to stay when we go back for a visit. We enjoyed this spacious studio with
the comfy King bed. The kitchenette and bathroom were roomy and well supplied. The location is convenient, within walking distance to Kalapawai Market for my morning coffee and to Kailua Beach. We were able to park on the street right in front of the house everyday except for one. One little drawback is that the path on the side of the house to the rental entrance is a bit narrow. We hope to rent this place again!"

"We were visiting friends who had moved to Kailua and this was a great base for us. There were 4 of us - 2 parents and 2 kids. We used the beach chairs for an evening dinner on the beach. I will note that if you must have air conditioning this place is not for you. We were comfortable but there is no AC and in mid summer it can get warm, even with the windows open. Again, we were fine with it as we come from a warm climate, but I know some people might not tolerate it well. There are fans, both ceiling and floor.
The owners were friendly and accessible, living next door. My friends who now live in Kailua actually plan to rent this property when they have family come to visit in the future. The location is great, very short walk to the beach and walkable to restaurants as well. It definitely feels like you are living in a small town. If you are a runner you can run from this property to the "Lanikai Loop" for a beautiful sunrise over the ocean and the Mokes."
