"I fell in love with Kailua. If you're going to Hawaii, I wouldn't recommend staying anywhere but here! The suite itself was quiet, spacious, clean & a perfect temperature. Amanda and her family were such wonderful hosts. We very much enjoyed their dog Narauta too! Kailua is a very special place! The beach is unimaginable!! The sand is pristine along the 2.5 mile beach and it is great for walking or even running on. The water is warm, clear, perfect for swimming, & a BEAUTIFUL turquoise colour. It was never crowded and you have a great view of the mokes, as well as the spectacular sunrises. It is such a peaceful & relaxing part of Oahu and by far my favourite place on the entire island. Amanda's suite is very close to Kailua beach; the short walk didn't bother me or my family one bit! We had a great time and you will too!!!"

"This was our first trip to Hawaii and we wanted to get away from the hustle of Honolulu when we found this property. Laycie was very helpful in answering questions for us prior to booking. We found the property to be well kept with all the amenities and furnishings one would expect. The in unit laundry was particularly useful. The BBQ came with everything you need to enjoy a meal at the house and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and seasonings. The views from the property are spectacular. We loved sitting in the porch swing and watching the sunrise as well as going out on the pier and looking for sealife. The location is a quick drive to Waikki as well as numerous places on the Windward side."

"I like to be objective in my reviews. We stay at B&Bs and guest cottages all over the world so feel we have criteria to compare . There were things which were great about this property but things we would definitely like to see improved. The location was great. We loved it. The beach is about three blocks away. It's necessary to drive if you are taking chairs etc with you. If you are not carrying anything with you then you can walk. The beach when you do get there is absolutely beautiful. The beach is not just a few steps from the cottage as indicated in the description of the cottage. There is a beach close by but it's water hitting against a wall...no beach. The town is nice and not too large with a few nice places to dine. Plus, there is a nice park and a beautiful beach there too. The cottage AC did not cool enough for us but we were there in Sept and it was very hot. The cottage is much smaller than it looks in the photos but is nice. It's only suitable for two. There needs to be a shade or blind on the front door of the cottage. The throw pillows on the futon , chair and bed take up too much room in a small space...get rid of them. They are not necessary. The cottage was clean except there was mildew in the shower. The bathroom needs a little updating. The nice green towels had large bleach spots on them. Plus, there is no covering on the bath window and this faces the windows of another house which is rather disconcerting....put a cover on the bath window. One thing we really didn't like was that the last full day we were there the mowers came in and were there several hours when we really wanted to relax. The lawn is very small so it seemed unnecessary that the mowing went on for so long, probably three hours when it could have been in an hour. I would recommend the cottage but hope the owners would make a few inexpensive changes....get rid of the throw pillows, covers for privacy for the front door and the bath window. Also, mow the day occupants leave in the time frame before another occupant arrives instead of when occupants are trying to relax inside the cottage. I would stay here again."

"Most anyone would enjoy the location and home. There are some stairs to navigate as the main house is on the second story which offers a beautiful view of the ocean through the palm trees. You can hear the rustle of the leaves while relaxing in the gentle breeze.
The house is tucked away from any street noise and has a convenient access to the beautiful sandy beach of Kailua Bay. There is most everything you could ask for in Kailua except the crowds!!!
i love kailua! Highly recommend staying here."
