"We enjoyed staying at Rick and Tammy's in Waimanalo - away from the craziness of Honolulu and Waikiki, but close enough to anything we wanted to do (e.g. watching the sunrise and boogie boarding at Waimanalo Beach, snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, eating poke in Kailua, drinking beer at Kona Brewing, and touring Kauloa Ranch). The place comes with anything you could need, including cooking supplies. But what we, my husband and I as a pretty active couple, loved the most was the many "toys" we could use - we used the snorkel gear almost every day, and the boogie boards were so fun. We didn't get a chance to use the kayaks and paddle boards, but I'm sure we wouldn't enjoyed those as well. We also loved their sweet little dogs, Koa and George, and Tigger the cat. There is no AC, but we slept perfectly cool with the nice overhead fan. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks, Tammy and Rick!"

"We spent a week at the Sunrise Beach House and loved it. The house is very comfortable, clean and set up with all the basics visitors need: kitchen items, linens, magazines to browse, suggestions on places to go, places to eat. Best of all for us, to get to the beach you just walk across the road to a "beach right-of-way" and there you are on a mostly empty, truly gorgeous long, white sand beach. (BTW -- the house is equipped with boogie boards, snorkels etc) We are originally from Hawaii and knew that this beach would be great fun for all of us (adults, grandkids) for boogie boarding, walking and just watching. Neighbors and others we met were friendly and welcoming. Back at the house -- bedrooms had air conditioners which helped us sleep given the heat and humidity. My only suggestion would be to install another air conditioner in the living area since (according to O'ahu residents we talked to) the weather seems to moving toward more heat and more humidity. A big thank you to everyone who helped set up this vacation rental!!"

"Very nice cottage, across the street from a beautiful stretch of beach. Rosina and Koa the owners are very gracious, full of knowledge, and kind. Cottage gives a nice tropical feel. Sitting in the gazebo in the evening with the trade winds blowing is relaxing. hope to stay there again.
