"The house and property are beautiful and so close to the beach. The room has limited floor space for suitcases and the closet has a tiny opening but everything else is very efficient, including drawers beneath the bed. We stayed here prior to a business meeting in Honolulu and I am so glad we chose to visit Waimanalo first."

  • A home in paradise

"We had an amazing time. Abe and Nan are so kind and generous hosts that really make you feel at home. The house is beautiful and super clean. There are ton's of towels including beach towels (so no need to bring any) as well as extra sheets and plenty of kitchen linens. Abe and Nan even had some food in the pantry and fridge so we didn't need to find a grocery store right away. It is a quick 3 min walk to the beach and you don't need to cross any major streets. The beach is perfect with some shaded areas from trees and waves that are not too big. There are also plenty of boogie boards, goggles and sand toys for the beach to use. The property is perfect to stay at with little kids as the backyard is all fenced in and there is a little yard area to use. Again, we were most amazed with Abe and Nan's hospitality. They even remembered my parents 40th wedding anniversary and helped make the day special. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We really hope to come back here soon! Mahalo!"

  • Paradise on Oahu

"Our family of four stayed at the beach house for five nights. Upon arrival, we ran the few steps to the most beautiful beach we had ever seen! The teal water was warm and the waves were perfect for our kids 13 and 11. We took out the paddle boards everyday and it was such a treat to have all the water toys at your finger tips. Laura is the best host! We felt like we were staying with family from the moment we met her! The house itself is very cute and well appointed! plenty of room for our family and guests. Two full bathrooms came in handy too after a day at the beach, but the outside shower was a delight. We ate outside on the spacious lanai and enjoyed the mountain views and all the lush landscape. It is a residential neighborhood and we always felt safe and at home. You are very close to Waikiki, Sea Life Park and Hanauma Bay. We chose to drive to the North shore for our snorkel trip and it was well worth the drive. We ended up at Shark's Cove and saw amazing sea life, then hit the yellow shrimp truck that I had seen on Food Network for lunch on the way home. We always ended the day with a long swim at "our" beach. Ono shrimp and Keneke's is within walking distance and delicious. Everyone needs a shaved ice break while in Hawaii. Make sure you drive to Kailua for Dave's ice cream, we went daily and sure miss it now! Cinnamon's for breakfast was great as well... I'm still dreaming about their guava chiffon pancakes! This was a vacation my family will never forget! We cannot wait to return to this paradise! ~ Aloha ~"

  • Ran the Honolulu Marathon

"My 3 friends stayed at the cottages for only 3 nights really wished we could have stayed longer but had to get back to work. We were greeted by Tommy & Carolyn they were so helpful and super friendly. The beach in front of the cottages was soooo beautiful! We could hear the ocean at night. The grounds were green and very well manicured. I love the banana trees and we got to eat fresh bananas every day! We will be back soon! Cora, JoeCor Jamie, Lilly"
