  • A very sincere thank you to Abe and Nan

"Upon arrival, both Abe and Nan showed us their house and helped us with our luggage. We had 6 people and plenty of room with plenty of toys to play with; boogie boards, towels, snorkels and chairs. They had set up a bread basket for us with sweet bread, bagels, jam and cookies and put some fruit and guava juice in the fridge for us, which we fought over the last glass for. Their house is located on what I believe is the best beach in Oahu and only a 5 minute slow walk to. It's beautiful white sand with a great view and lots of fun waves to boogie board on. Plus, very few people, especially during the week. There was also a few places to eat close by and a small market, so you don't have to leave the area if you don't want. Thank you so very much for the use of your house. It was clean, spacious and well equipped and you both are those rare people who really care and show it. Thanks for the help with our rental van as well, which wouldn't start until Nan got us some cables and Abe charged it for us. We'll look you up again if we make it back there."

  • Home away from far Home!!

"This was the first time I used VRBO and was a bit anxious about the experience. But from the beginning it was a pleasure to deal with the owner, he was prompt in returning all of my emails and phone call. Seeing "Tahitian Hut" in person was amazing. Clean, well kept, with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay and more. And of course across from one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. It is in a great location with access to anything that you need to do and see. We had an amazing time, we looked at the stars at night and asked ourselves, why don't we live here? If you are planning on staying in O'ahu, do not hesitate to rent this property, you won't regret it. The owners are warm, welcoming and honest people that will make your stay a pleasurable one. Gilles and Angela sorry we had to run away in the middle of the night (super early flight) without saying a proper goodbye. We wish you both nothing but the best. A bientôt!"

  • Small but pleasant

"We spent a week at the Pineapple Suite and enjoyed ourselves very much. It is comfortable and well-appointed, and the lovely lanai makes the small studio space quite livable. It especially helps to have the drawers under the bed to unpack clothes. The one sink shared between bathroom and kitchen uses wasn't too much to our liking, but otherwise the compact space is well-designed. The proximity to the beach is great and we walked over at least once every day. It is nice to be in a Hawaiian neighborhood, although that does come with the periodic noise of barking dogs, garbage trucks, and the occasional evening performance of the local garage band (always ended by 10 pm). This property is fairly priced and boasts beautiful grounds, a private gate, and its own parking space. The hosts are helpful and engaging, and we were happy we stayed here. We will definitely return to Waimanalo on future visits to the Islands."

  • Wouldn't stay anywhere else!

"I spent a week at the Zen Treehouse and it was as advertised, and much more. The spacious apartment is a quiet retreat just yards from the beach. Upon entering, a basket of bananas, pineapples and mangos await you as you enter this tranquil abode. It was also nice to have the beach towels, chairs, boogie boards, etc supplied and not have to worry about purchasing those because you'll definitely need them for your time on what I think is the most beautiful beach on Oahu. You must start your day with a cup of coffee (beans and french press supplied), and head to the beach to watch the sunrise. Once you are finished for the day, lounge on either of the two balcony's to enjoy the ocean breeze or explore the island, with most island landmarks just a 30 minute or less car ride away. Wayne is always there if needed, but his presence is not intrusive. He is also a great source of information if needed, although Herlinda has provided an extensive welcome book that includes all the things to do, eat, see in the area. Also, if you're an animal person, it's nice to have Herlinda's dog Sophie around to pet when you're missing your own pooch! I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Beautiful accommodations, fantastic beach and perfect location. Thank you!"
