  • Incredibly thoughtful & extremely generous hosts!

"Thank you Barb & Jay for your hospitality, for being such thoughtful and generous hosts! We especially enjoyed the treats (fresh papaya, guava drinks, orange juice, chips, eggs, bread, milk, cream, cereal, granola bars, etc. ) waiting for us when we arrived, too tired to think of grocery shopping... we loved being so close to a wonderful beach (one where I could actually go in the water!) and having a cozy, comfy, quiet place to come back to after a day of hiking or swimming... other things we really appreciated: Barb's binder with info on local restaurants, etc. (our favourite was the Thai place) ; wifi that worked without a hitch ; a washer and dryer, and lots of hot water... we loved the deck, private yet open with lots of light, and the fact that the house was set back from the street, well-hidden in a quiet little nook... Barb & Jay, you were the perfect hosts, easy to do business with, great communicators, thank you again for a rental that we enjoyed immensely and that we recommend to other vacationers without hesitation."

"Lots of room for everybody with lots of towel. Soft white sand, lots of shade, blue water and waves are good enough for kids to enjoy. If you need rest and quite surrounding this is the place.Owner very accommodating and nice. This is my first experience to rent and I love it."

  • Highly recommended

"This is an excellent property - near the beach but also convenient to Kailua and Honolulu. All modern conveniences including washer and dryer and fast WiFi. Everything in good condition. Pamela and Ken could not have been more attentive and caring. They even purchased a small desk and chair so I could do some work in the air conditioned bedroom. We had a wonderful time. Perfect place for those who want a balance between urban convenience and beachside seclusion. P.S. Don't let anyone tell you you don't need air conditioning in Hawaii in the summer. You do."

  • Beautiful beachfront property

"Hawaiian Sunrise is located on what may be the most beautiful white sandy beach anywhere. It's a perfect location from which to walk or run along the sand to the south, where you can swim in the tidal pool outside the house where Magnum, P.I. was filmed, or even better, to the north along a stretch of state park on the way to Bellows AFB that has a beautiful ironwood forest and few people other than locals who come out on weekends. The week we stayed with two families including 4 children between the ages of 11 and 15, the beach was great for boogie boarding every day, and calm enough for paddleboarding a couple of days. The kitchen is open and well-stocked, with a large dining table that fit our families easily when we ate indoors, and made it easy to gather while cooking. The outdoor patio also has a couple of tables if you want to dine next to the charcoal grill pits. The cottage is an adorable, private space for a couple to stay apart from the main house, and the outdoor shower with hot water was a welcome surprise. The owner was very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy a wonderful week. We can't wait to return!"

Waimanalo Beach vacation rentals offer vacationers the wonderful experience of being able to experience the beauty of Hawaii without battling crowds of tourists. After all, how relaxing can a vacation be if you have to stand in line for half an hour to get a soda and then do battle just to get a space for your towel on the beach? These concerns are far from the minds of people who spend their time away in Waimanalo Beach vacation rentals, where there is peace, quiet, and plenty of beauty to go around.

For those who are interested in doing a little more than just working on their tans and splashing in the surf, there are also points of interest in the area including forest reserves, state parks, recreation areas, and golf courses. There are some great comprehensive guides for East Oahu travel to help choose activities. Some people, however, like their Waimanalo Beach vacation rentals so much that they spend half the time there and the other half of the time enjoying one of the nearby beaches.
