Family trip of a Lifetime
"With 7 people in our family, trips like this don't happen, so this was an extremely special event. Waimanalo didn't disappoint us! If you are interested in truly seeing the real Oahu without thousands of tourists, then this is the right place. All 7 of us slept very comfortably and loved the air conditioning in the bedrooms each night. The sunrises every morning were breathtaking. I enjoy running marathons, and found beautiful paths next to the farms. We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and were very happy to see a church walking distance from this house. The house had everything we needed for our teenagers which included boogie boards, beach chairs, and beach towels. The washer and dryer were perfect so we had fresh towels each day. The kitchen had all the supplies so that we could eat many meals at home (again since we are such a large family). We walked over to the local farmers market and enjoyed tasting the local fresh fruit. Eli was very kind and taught us about mangoes as well as providing us fresh ones each day. He also told us about famous film locations right there in Waimanalo. The last day we spent a perfect day at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and although it was fun, the kids all commented that they are so glad we stayed at the Waimanalo Beach Home. A price tag cannot be put on this secret gem, but luckily for us, it fit right in our budget. Thank you Pamela for the special touches you gave for our family. It truly was the most perfect vacation we have ever been on!"

"We stayed here for a week with another couple, and had an incredible time. The house is right on the beach, and we were able to take our morning coffee and a lawn chair out onto the sand to watch the sunrise every morning. It was absolutely breathtaking! The pictures don't do it justice! The beach is small and quiet, which was perfect for relaxing in the sun.
The house had everything we needed, included a separate small cottage for privacy. The kitchen seemed new, and everything was very clean and in working order. The owner was very responsive if we needed anything, and had great recommendations for things to do nearby.
There are a few small shops and restaurants in walking distance (or short driving distance)- I highly recommend Sweet Home Waimanalo for breakfast and lunch! The area isn't very touristy at all, which we really loved. We were able to spend a perfect, relaxing week on the beach! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to everyone."

"Property is exactly as described and pictured. Had a great week off before heading to Sydney for work. Rent a car and this place is an excellent launch pad for daily excursions or an excellent r&r spot on the beach. The beach is beautiful and peaceful and just enough foot traffic to keep it interesting while passing time away, but yet it still feel like its all yours! While facing the ocean there is an amazing somewhat secretive snorkel area to your right just past the rocks...you could walk down the beach, kayak, or drive and park. If you drive past the Shriners you've gone to far. You can also go to Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve, not so secret, which is a 5 minute drive down the road too...well worth it for snorkeling.
Shimas is just down the road for all your grocery needs.
You can go to Honolulu 2 very different ways (through the mountain or around the island perimeter) and they both yield excitement and several exploration activities. Plus you can go to Kailua in 5 minutes if you need Target for additional supplies for whatever reason.
Beautiful, clean property; safe, secluded, incredible, and quiet beach; great comfortable launch pad from which to explore Oahu."

"We truly couldn't have picked a more perfect place to stay! Steps from the most beautiful and quiet beach. Rick and Tami were very welcoming. They made us feel totally at home. We will definitely be back soon!"
