"The rental was as pictured. Barbara was very nice and answered all our questions about the area. It is just a short walk to the beach with some snorkel gear and boogie boards provided. This side of the island is very green and tropical feeling. It is quiet and laid back, not like Honolulu. If you are looking for a family friendly, quiet location, close to the beautiful Kailua beach this is it! It was nice to have a large section of white sand beach to yourself without someone right next to you. We would come again and stay on the winward side of the island for sure. We saved $ by eating breakfast in the unit and packed our lunch. It was also nice to have a washer/dryer so we didn't have to pack as much clothes for 8 days. Thank you Barbara for your hospitality!"

  • Excellent value for quaint, cozy and mellow

"Accurately listed and met our expectations! No, it's not the Hilton with room service and plastic surgery, but this cute little place we would definitely recommend to our like-minded friends and family. It had everything we needed - even things we didn't think we'd need, all neat and tidy. And you can count on the host to get back to you quickly, which is nice to have a trustworthy and helpful owner within reach. Mahalo for sharing the aloha!"

  • Our perfect holiday

"Every morning we watched the sun rise over the Mokulua islands off Lanikai - an incomparably beautiful sight. There's nowhere in the world I'd rather be than here at Lanikai, and this is the perfect house for it. If you're looking for granite countertops and the latest Bose speakers, this is not the place for you. But if you want a wonderful 1920s, completely kitted out old-style beach house, don't hesitate for a minute. We loved every minute here. There's no beach in front and getting to the water involves either walking a house away and down the access path or clambering over rocks, but because there's no beach in front of the house, there's almost total privacy and you can get your paddle board into the water and set off for the islands or start snorkelling among schools of fish (and even a sea turtle and seal or two). The garden in the front of the house is beautifully kept and has a view of the mountains, which you also see from the dining room table (from the dining and living rooms you actually see both the sea and the mountains). Great for barbecues and outdoor dining. And lovely little old- fashioned bedrooms with built-in cupboards, each bedroom with a view of the sea. What more could you want? If we could, we'd return every year."

  • We Found Paradise!!

"We found paradise!! Thank you Mike & Jeanne for sharing your beautiful, tranquil home with us. We had 3 generations of our family there & we enjoyed the trip of a lifetime! There is something here for everyone! Laycie is amazing! What a friendly, personable, professional young lady! She made sure our every need was met - anticipating in advance. We really enjoyed Ono's Coconut Shrimp -- Thanks for the tip Mike. Also the crew at Island Divers in Hawai'i Kai are fabulous! This is the perfect location! Mahalo! The Richs & the Hollands :)"

East Oahu Travel Tips

East Oahu Condos Are Diverse and Vibrant

Diverse and vibrant options are what you will find when you select East Oahu condos in Hawaii for your next vacation getaway. Oahu vacation rentals provide you with the chance to explore a range of activities, including a sea life park, botanical garden and Buddhist temple. Along with the diverse array of attractions, you will also find a choice of dining options ranging from casual to upscale near Oahu lodging.

East Oahu Condos Are Where You Can Mingle with Sea Life

After settling into Oahu vacation rentals, visitors to East Oahu often want to get busy exploring the many attractions. At the top of your list should certainly be Sea Life Park, situated on a glorious oceanside setting with the spectacular Koolau Mountain Range as a backdrop. Take a stroll over the Hawaiian reef tank to view more than 4,000 ocean creatures, including penguins, dolphins and killer whales.

Oahu Vacation Rentals Allow You to Commune with Nature

Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden should definitely rate at the top of your list of things to see while staying in Oahu lodging. This unique botanical garden offers a massive collection of plants and trees not just from Hawaii but from all over the world. You will find the garden nestled at the base of the Koolau Mountains, making it an ideal site to visit near East Oahu condos. If you are still feeling energetic, you may also wish to visit Kualoa Ranch, where you can go horseback riding in the same valley that was the backdrop for the filming of “Jurassic Park” or take a once in a lifetime helicopter ride, soaring high above the mountains. The ranch provides the perfect way to spend a relaxing day. When you are ready to relax in the evening, Oahu vacation rentals are the perfect places to do so.

Oahu Lodging Allows You to Get in Touch with Your Spiritual Side

If you are interested in getting in touch with your spiritual side, you need look no further than the Byodo-in Temple, situated near East Oahu condos. This replica of a temple located at Uji, Japan is home to a two-ton Buddha statue as well as carp ponds, Japanese-style rock gardens and a meditation house. Make sure you gong the three-ton brass bell for good luck before you leave to return to your Oahu lodging.
