  • Wonderful place

"My family and I stayed here for one week and it was perfect. Mike couldn't have been more helpful, the house had absolutely everything we could have wanted and it was so comfortable and welcoming. We lived in Lanikai for 10 years and staying here really was like coming home. We can't wait to book our next visit. Thank you!!"

  • PERFECTION!

"After booking this property, we continually pulled up the pictures just to be able to day dream about our upcoming trip. Upon arriving in Oahu, we were excited to see the property we had been dreaming about. It was all that and more! We absolutely loved our time in paradise. The views can't be better anywhere else on the island, and the place is decorated beautifully (and so comfortable). Situated on the best side of Oahu (not as crowded and just gorgeous), this property allowed us an easy spot to go out and see the sites on the island. The only difficult thing was that we wanted to get back early (and often did) to spend time at this gorgeous property! After our time here, we spent 5 days in Maui and then returned to a large resort in Waikiki before flying out. When in Waikiki, my whole family (including my kids) consistently said "we wish we were at 'our' Oahu house looking at 'our' island (Chinaman's Hat). We all loved it here. This place is perfection, and as others said, "Just book it.... you won't be sorry!""

  • Perfect For 2

"My wife and I just spent 10 days at Tropical Sands and were completely satisfied with the property. Though small, it was perfect for the two of us. Very clean and obviously renovated in the not too distant past. The bed was very comfortable, even with my bad back. The only air conditioner is in the bedroom and it does struggle to cool the rest of the unit but we did not find that to be a problem. Being on the end of a cul-de-sac there is only slight traffic noise, or noise of any kind. Kailua is a great town to stay in. A world away from the crowds and tourist traps of Waikiki. Kailua beach is beautiful. One of the best on the island. Stop at the Kalapawai Deli (Very good place for coffee and sandwiches) next to the northern entrance to the beach when they open at 6 AM, grab a coffee and go to the beach for sunrise. It will already be populated with joggers, walkers, fishermen, swimmers and photographers. Never crowded, always friendly. Plenty of restaurants in town, from Buzz's Steak House near the beach and Baci Bistro to KFC and McDonalds. Nice selection of shops and grocery stores, including Whole Foods. The owners, Tom and his wife, were excellent. Available whenever needed but otherwise respectful of your privacy. We had a thoroughly enjoyable vacation and staying here instead of in a resort was a large part of that enjoyment. I can't think of any reason why 2 or even 3 people would need any more then what Tropical Sands has to offer."
