Great home to stay
"Having relatives in Kailua, we come to Hawaii as often as possible. Our family of five (three adult sons) enjoyed this spacious, clean, comfortable and well equiped house. We found everything we needed for a great vacation. Carol is a wonderful host. We can warmly recommend this house and hope to come back soon."

"Lovely cottage accommodating 4 adults nicely. LOVED the community ... it's always nice to come back to peace & quiet after playing among the crowds of the many Oahu beaches. Since we stayed across the street from Waikiki during the 1st part of our vacation, we were looking forward to our stay on the windward side of Oahu ... away from the hustle & bustle. Upon arrival, Nancy left a very nice note apologizing that she wouldn't be able to greet us, but that her housekeeper would be available to assist us in anyway if we needed. The cottage is away from the street and set back on the property away from the road (BUT there is no roadside noise anyways!). There was lots of space for us to spread out and plenty of storage space. The kitchen was very clean and had every appliance we needed during our stay. Since we played at Lanikai Beach EVV-ERR-EE-DAY, it was nice to have an outside hose to rinse off before going into the cottage. Being that it was unseasonably HOT when we were there, the 2nd bedroom was a bit stuffy ... but running the dryer which is in the 2nd bedroom before going to bed probably didn't help either. Luckily there were a couple portable fans that we used for the bedroom. The bedrooms were very nice and had storage space for our "messy children". We are regular VRBO travelers and this property was by far the "best place we've stayed" (quote from my son) and we hope to return."

"What a slice of Heaven! Kitty is the perfect host, with a fabulous property to share. The views are breathtaking. The rentals are clean with updated appliances and many beach items to borrow. This was a great place to call home for a few short weeks. We hope to be back soon."

"I like to be objective in my reviews. We stay at B&Bs and guest cottages all over the world so feel we have criteria to compare . There were things which were great about this property but things we would definitely like to see improved. The location was great. We loved it. The beach is about three blocks away. It's necessary to drive if you are taking chairs etc with you. If you are not carrying anything with you then you can walk. The beach when you do get there is absolutely beautiful. The beach is not just a few steps from the cottage as indicated in the description of the cottage. There is a beach close by but it's water hitting against a wall...no beach. The town is nice and not too large with a few nice places to dine. Plus, there is a nice park and a beautiful beach there too. The cottage AC did not cool enough for us but we were there in Sept and it was very hot. The cottage is much smaller than it looks in the photos but is nice. It's only suitable for two. There needs to be a shade or blind on the front door of the cottage. The throw pillows on the futon , chair and bed take up too much room in a small space...get rid of them. They are not necessary. The cottage was clean except there was mildew in the shower. The bathroom needs a little updating. The nice green towels had large bleach spots on them. Plus, there is no covering on the bath window and this faces the windows of another house which is rather disconcerting....put a cover on the bath window. One thing we really didn't like was that the last full day we were there the mowers came in and were there several hours when we really wanted to relax. The lawn is very small so it seemed unnecessary that the mowing went on for so long, probably three hours when it could have been in an hour. I would recommend the cottage but hope the owners would make a few inexpensive changes....get rid of the throw pillows, covers for privacy for the front door and the bath window. Also, mow the day occupants leave in the time frame before another occupant arrives instead of when occupants are trying to relax inside the cottage. I would stay here again."
