The property manager was adequately helpful.
The vacation rental was very clean.
I was very happy with the location.
I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
I'd read the reviews on this house, so I was prepared for the fact that the structure and furnishings are older and well used, and that was, in fact, the case. If you are looking for a 5 star retreat, this is not the place for you. It was built in 1963, and has not undergone many upgrades since. But it was clean and well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms, and with lots of beach gear. And that's what makes this place amazing - the beach. There is literally a football field of beach frontage, with steps to the sand and to swimmable ocean. There's a reef off shore, so it's a protected area, very easy for snorkeling. The views and sunsets are amazing, and I've never seen so many sea turtles. You fall asleep and wake up to the crash of the waves. On our last night the skies were black and clear, and there were so many stars we thought we were in a planetarium. It's also close enough to Haleiwa to do some touristy things, paddle boarding, kayaking, good restaurants, shopping. It's perfect for a relaxing vacation, truly a sanctuary, as my son put it. We only had one issue - two of the oscillating fans were broken, and the property management was not responsive to our request to replace them. Luckily it wasn't a super hot week, so we were mostly ok, and hopefully they will replace them for the next guests. This house could use a little love. It wouldn't take much to make it as beautiful inside as it is on the outside. We were very sad to leave, and hope to return some day."
