  • Oceanfront, whales, turtles ALL GOOD!

"We had a delightful 5 week Jan-Feb stay in the condo. Morning coffee on the lanai, watching the whales spout on the horizon and turtles surfacing directly offshore was wonderful. Very clean and comfy with fast internet and good tv channels. Nicely equipped for preparing and serving meals. Good supply of towels, beach chairs, snorkel equipment and toys. Could use a drying rack for towels and swim suits. The microwave stopped working and very quickly Kim had a replacement. Condo complex is safe and well taken care of. Haleiwa towne is about a mile walk. Being without a car was a little tricky. We took the bus from Honolulu and got off in downtown Haleiwa without knowing where to pick up the bus to the condo. So we walked the mile dragging our suitcases down the bumpy and uneven sidewalk, not fun on a hot day. Sleeping in the bedroom was fine at night as most residents followed the 10PM-8AM quiet rule. The curtains didn't totally block out the hallway lights, but they are good for safety reasons. It was difficult to sleep in the morning as the rooster asylum across the street started up before 1st light. The bedroom faces the parking lot so you could hear coughing, talking, walking, traffic and the ocassional car alarm. We had a great time and plan to return. Mahalo!"

  • Amazing Vacation

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay here was amazing. Our first trip to Hawaii was really perfect especially since we stayed at the house. Everyone fit perfectly in the house (4 adults, 2 toddlers, and a 5 year old). The beds are very comfortable. The ceiling fans in every room help tremendously when the house gets warm. Just open up all the windows and doors and turn on the fans for great a great breeze. New furniture in the living room really opened up the main area. Every night sleeping with the waves crashing outside is something I'm already missing. The beach is amazing and very swimmable. We saw sea turtles on the beach and in the surf almost everyday. We even saw humpback whales breaching in the distance. The only thing that was problematic (hardly anything to note) was the screen doors. The one in the front and back were in need of some tlc. There are some boogie boards, snorkels, masks, fins, and extra flip flops at the house. Also Jenga, playing cards, and a couple games in the cabinet. Lizards galore outside, if your kids like them as much as mine do. Oh, we found a pack n play in the closet. It wasn't noted below, but there is one there. There are beach towels and bath towels, laundry detergent, dish detergent too, in case you need it. The outdoor shower is awesome after coming off the beach. Haleiwa's main drag is about a 5 minute drive. Market, restaurants, surf/paddleboard rentals/lessons, shops, food trucks. The opposite way, go to Wiamea Bay for great swimming especially if you head far to the right where it is very calm for kids. We loved our stay here. We were pouting big time as we packed up before leaving. You will love it."

  • Great Condo in Fantastic Location

"I'm a bit of a regular here at Haleiwa Surf condos, having stayed in this condo several times over the last few years. The condo amenities are great...everything you need, and then some, is provided. The location, just steps away from the beach and water, is outstanding. And being on the North Shore in the "country," rather than in the tourist-infested "concrete jungle" of Honolulu and Waikiki, is what sets this apart from a good vacation compared to a great vacation. Haleiwa Town is a short walk away with a great variety of restaurants and quaint little shops. On-site property management is very responsive and available for anything which may arise. Plenty of parking and on-site laundry machines round out this little jewel on the North Shore. I high recommend this condo and the complex."

  • Northshore Gem

"We rented this beautiful house right on the beach with another family. There were 7 of us. Pictures are just as shown. We loved it from the moment we walked in. Lots of seating inside and out. We spent most of our days outside on the beach, watching the turtles in the water. Loved hearing the crashing of the waves every night. Beds and bedding are very comfortable, overhead fans in all rooms plus floor fans. The views out of the living room are amazing. Quiet neighborhood. Joey was great to work with and her daughter meet us upon arrival and gave us on the "local" information. We did a quad tour at Kualoa ranch, went snorkeling at sharks cove, body surfing at Waimea Beach, we hiked to waimea falls, went snorkeling at laniakea beach where all the turtles come to shore every day, the boys went deep sea fishing....all of this is so close to the house. We really wanted to rent a house away from the rat race of Waikiki, as we have been there and done that...not our thing...we were so happy with our decision. Waikiki is a short drive away if you wish to go there. We felt like a local, people were asking us for directions...everyone is so friendly. The closest town, Haleiwa, is a short drive away...we loved it there, so cute, great places to eat. We headed south to where road ends and hiked to light much to do or nothing at all....just like we liked it. I would highly recommend this house, we will rent it again."
