"We rented the upstairs 4 bedroom, 2 bath, for 3 weeks in Feb/March 2015. There was only the two of us. That was maybe more room than we needed, but I recently retired so we needed a little extra space while Gale got used to me being around. We loved the features on this property, the pool, the covered, wrap-around porch, huge kitchen, plenty of utensils, etc. Everything worked well, including internet, Dish Network TV, and our Apple TV gadget. We were especially delighted the Chun’s Reef beach park was directly across the street from the property’s driveway. While Uncrustables remain our “best beach food, ever”, when off the beach we were blown away by Seven Brothers hamburgers in Laie, and Angels’ Shaved Ice in the same shopping center. (Seven Brothers also operates a food truck at the gas station between Pipeline and Sunset beaches, but we didn’t eat at the truck. We were surprised by how tasty the pizza was at Spaghettini in Haleiwa. In the past, we used Uncle Bryan’s Sunset Surratt Surf School in Haleiwa for me and for our grandchildren. The school operates very safely and has plenty of instructors in the water with students. We had a terrific time at this property. Luann and Gary are very nice people."

"After our long plane ride from the east coast and getting caught in Honolulu rush hour traffic, needless to say, we were weary travelers. We opened the door to the Hibiscus house and an immediate sense of relaxation washed over us. We knew right away this was going to be an amazing stay! The description is spot on. Open, airy and clean with stunning views. Almost every morning we were greeted with a rainbow, (even a double rainbow), and every evening we had amazing sunsets with whales breaching too! The kitchen is fully equipped and the appliances are all in excellent working order (except the toaster), we just needed to stock it up with food. Foodland is a 5 minute bike ride away. Every morning we took a beach walk then came back, ate breakfast on the deck then gathered up the provided beach chairs and towels and headed to the beach again. They have outdoor showers with hot water to wash off the beach sand before going back in the house. Like other reviewers said, the living room furniture is a little uncomfortable but we rarely sat on it because we were always on the deck. The beds are comfortable though. There is also a washer and dryer which is a huge plus because I packed fairly light. Bath towels are provided as well.
We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center for a luau and the fire show, "HA, Breath of Life". I'd give that 5 stars too. We also had a tour of Waimea Park which was amazing with exotic trees, flowers and waterfalls. I recommend taking the guided tour because the guides are extremely knowledgeable. In that same park on Thursdays is a Farmer's market which feature locally grown produce, crafts, fresh breads and prepared food. If you like a good workout, look up D.Bach Functional Fitness.
The Hibiscus house was a perfect fit for our group and we are planning on returning. Honolulu/Waikiki is 45 minutes away. Meh, it looks like any bustling beach city. It reminded be of South Beach. It was fun for one night but for the rest of our stay the North Shore of Oahu was the way to go. It is super laid back and peaceful.
Mahalo Hawai'i and Hibiscus house owners!!!"

"My family and I really enjoyed our three night stay at Fuselier's wonderful oceanfront, ground floor unit! Utilizing the large fold out futon in family room area it comfortably slept our family of three. We love the town of Haleiwa and will be back!"

"I'm a bit of a regular here at Haleiwa Surf condos, having stayed in this condo several times over the last few years. The condo amenities are great...everything you need, and then some, is provided. The location, just steps away from the beach and water, is outstanding. And being on the North Shore in the "country," rather than in the tourist-infested "concrete jungle" of Honolulu and Waikiki, is what sets this apart from a good vacation compared to a great vacation. Haleiwa Town is a short walk away with a great variety of restaurants and quaint little shops. On-site property management is very responsive and available for anything which may arise. Plenty of parking and on-site laundry machines round out this little jewel on the North Shore. I high recommend this condo and the complex."
