Overall excellent experience!
"I highly recommend this home. Everything was excellent, with the note I make at the bottom as a caution to noise-sensitive people.
Veronica (owner) was very easy to deal with, quick and easy to reach via phone and email, and responsive to all communications. This is a huge plus for any rental experience, and very important!
Overall we loved the house. It is very clean, very nicely furnished, and the kitchen is very well equipped. (We cooked for five adults and two kids most every day.) Also there were a number of nice extras, such as beach towels, some beach gear and beach chairs. The showers were hot, the beds were comfortable, and being in the home was very pleasant. Also the yard around the house was private, quiet, and inviting.
A note to noise-sensitive people (like me): About 100 feet behind the house is a state highway that causes some traffic noise, but mostly only during morning and evening rush-hour. Overnight it was quiet, especially overnight, when it's most important to have quiet. I was the only one slightly bothered by this - and no one else in my group was. Also be aware that roosters are common on Hawaii, so you'll hear those early in the morning as well. Though around this house there were MUCH fewer roosters than I've experienced on past trips elsewhere on Hawaii! However we never heard the neighbors or any other noise -- just a tiny bit from that pesky highway.
But that did not detract from our overall experience. We would definitely visit here again!"

"If you are wanting the perfect beachfront getaway then THIS is the place. Our biggest regret is that we are not staying longer. But, we know where we are coming next summer. It does not get any better than this. You are 20 steps (not blocks) from the ocean where you can grab the snorkel gear that is provided and go swim with sea turtles.
The condo is clean, comfy queen bed, great pull-out option in the family room, and two bathrooms!! We loved our short stay here. That is the best part, the owners were so accommodating to our schedule - this was the absolute best part of our trip.
Haleiwa is a gem of a town. There are cool little shops and boutiques. The local food is amazing and you have to go to Matsumoto's for shaved ice. We cannot wait to return - our only fear is that this unit will be booked when we want to come back. If you want a true Hawaiian relaxed beachfront vacation then this is the spot.

"If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, basic condo with amazing ocean views and the sound of the surf to lull you to sleep at a reasonable price, THIS is IT! Craig's condo is on the beach with everything you need to enjoy your time in Haleiwa...chairs, beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, surf board and a nice little balcony where you can eat and drink and enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean. He is easy to work with and responds quickly to all questions. There is a barbecue area and picnic tables on a grassy lawn where you can meet fellow vacationers and residents of the building. The onsite laundry facilities are clean and secure. A five minute walk will take you into Haleiwa where you will find shops and restaurants and food trucks to suit just about any taste. The North Shore is only 30 minutes from Waikiki and Honolulu, but feels worlds away! This is active vacation paradise...surfing, SUP, hiking and skydiving are right outside your door. This was our first visit to the North Shore but we're already looking at the calendar for our next visit. Thank you Craig, you made everything easy and our vacation was perfect!"

"Our family stayed at Tutu's House in September as a mini family reunion. This house worked well for all six of us ranging from 21 months old to 63 years old. It was comfortable, a well stocked kitchen and the best views of the North Shore. The house was clean, had plenty of towels, bedding and family entertainment. The only difficulty we ran into is the trade winds weren't blowing and the temperature was in the 90's. The house isn't air conditioned, so was stiffiling. The manager was called and brought fans over that day, which helped a little bit. It turned out to be an unusually hot week and our family was very uncomfortable in the house. Just be aware when you come to Hawaii during the hot months and are intolerant of all day heat, look for a property that has air conditioning. Also the house sits along the busy 2 lane Kamehameha Highway with traffic going by day and night. Two of the three bedrooms face the highway so sleeping is a challenge. Most of the beachfront houses on the North Shore are situated that way. Being so close to the beach makes up for some inconveniences. All in all a nice property in a nice location."
