  • Great Stay!

"We had a great stay at the Coral House. The house is right in the heart of Haleiwa, which allowed us to walk to restaurants, shopping, etc. You can tell the owner takes pride in her home because it is really well decorated and maintained. I would recommend this house to anyone who is looking to stay in Haleiwa and wants a comfortable and convenient location. We hope to stay again!"

  • A Delightful 2 Weeks

"We rented Hale Honu for 2 weeks in January, 2015. We needed a house big enough for my daughter, son in law, their 3 daughters ages 6, 3, and 1, my husband and myself. Hale Honu was perfect. There was plenty of room for all of us, including a pack and play for the youngest. Family areas were big enough for all of us to congregate. The house itself is fabulous, situated right on the ocean with floor to ceiling windows, wonderful carved furniture, a covered patio in back with hammock, table and chairs, outdoor shower, and a rock stairway down to the beach. There were plenty of towels, both bath and beach. The kitchen was complete with dishes, cooking utensils, even a coffee grinder. The clothes washer and dryer were conveniently located near the bedrooms. The master bathroom shower was delightful. There were tide pools just down the beach where our granddaughters spent lots of time. The beach was never crowded but there were always surfers to watch. Close by are Haliewa, Waialua, Waimea, Sunset Beach, and Turtle Bay. Waimea Valley and Falls were a favorite. Food trucks were everywhere and shave ice plentiful all along the Kamehameha Highway . The owner was very easy to work with, from the first contact to our departure. The only issue we had, with a stuck bedroom door, was taken care of immediately. We would definitely return."

  • Best location on the North Shore

"This place was simply perfect. I can't describe how happy we were to arrive at this peaceful place after a tiring overnight flight. The house and grounds were fantastic, the view and location could not be beat. A local swimming out front told us we had the best spot on the north shore and I couldn't agree more. We traveled with our 3 young children (aged 5, 3, and 1) and my brother and his friend. This place is perfect for families, it was spacious, the house came with everything we needed, including surf board, boogey boards, blow-up doughnuts, beach toys, snorkelling gear, beach towels, portacot, baby high chair, board games, books, and so much more. We ate all our meals on the deck just soaking up the beauty of our surroundings. We cooked some meals on the BBQ which turned out delicious, and the large yard was great for our kids to run around and play. It was the best spot for swimming, snorkelling and surfing. The lagoon out front provides protection and calm waters to swim and snorkel, while the breaks out beyond the reef were excellent. The property was private, secure and quiet. The owners, Jason and Janine, were helpful, friendly and very professional, we cannot wait to go back."

  • Great Vacation Spot

"We rented the upstairs 4 bedroom, 2 bath, for 3 weeks in Feb/March 2015. There was only the two of us. That was maybe more room than we needed, but I recently retired so we needed a little extra space while Gale got used to me being around. We loved the features on this property, the pool, the covered, wrap-around porch, huge kitchen, plenty of utensils, etc. Everything worked well, including internet, Dish Network TV, and our Apple TV gadget. We were especially delighted the Chun’s Reef beach park was directly across the street from the property’s driveway. While Uncrustables remain our “best beach food, ever”, when off the beach we were blown away by Seven Brothers hamburgers in Laie, and Angels’ Shaved Ice in the same shopping center. (Seven Brothers also operates a food truck at the gas station between Pipeline and Sunset beaches, but we didn’t eat at the truck. We were surprised by how tasty the pizza was at Spaghettini in Haleiwa. In the past, we used Uncle Bryan’s Sunset Surratt Surf School in Haleiwa for me and for our grandchildren. The school operates very safely and has plenty of instructors in the water with students. We had a terrific time at this property. Luann and Gary are very nice people."
