"After our long plane ride from the east coast and getting caught in Honolulu rush hour traffic, needless to say, we were weary travelers. We opened the door to the Hibiscus house and an immediate sense of relaxation washed over us. We knew right away this was going to be an amazing stay! The description is spot on. Open, airy and clean with stunning views. Almost every morning we were greeted with a rainbow, (even a double rainbow), and every evening we had amazing sunsets with whales breaching too! The kitchen is fully equipped and the appliances are all in excellent working order (except the toaster), we just needed to stock it up with food. Foodland is a 5 minute bike ride away. Every morning we took a beach walk then came back, ate breakfast on the deck then gathered up the provided beach chairs and towels and headed to the beach again. They have outdoor showers with hot water to wash off the beach sand before going back in the house. Like other reviewers said, the living room furniture is a little uncomfortable but we rarely sat on it because we were always on the deck. The beds are comfortable though. There is also a washer and dryer which is a huge plus because I packed fairly light. Bath towels are provided as well.
We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center for a luau and the fire show, "HA, Breath of Life". I'd give that 5 stars too. We also had a tour of Waimea Park which was amazing with exotic trees, flowers and waterfalls. I recommend taking the guided tour because the guides are extremely knowledgeable. In that same park on Thursdays is a Farmer's market which feature locally grown produce, crafts, fresh breads and prepared food. If you like a good workout, look up D.Bach Functional Fitness.
The Hibiscus house was a perfect fit for our group and we are planning on returning. Honolulu/Waikiki is 45 minutes away. Meh, it looks like any bustling beach city. It reminded be of South Beach. It was fun for one night but for the rest of our stay the North Shore of Oahu was the way to go. It is super laid back and peaceful.
Mahalo Hawai'i and Hibiscus house owners!!!"

"Our family stayed at Tutu's House in September as a mini family reunion. This house worked well for all six of us ranging from 21 months old to 63 years old. It was comfortable, a well stocked kitchen and the best views of the North Shore. The house was clean, had plenty of towels, bedding and family entertainment. The only difficulty we ran into is the trade winds weren't blowing and the temperature was in the 90's. The house isn't air conditioned, so was stiffiling. The manager was called and brought fans over that day, which helped a little bit. It turned out to be an unusually hot week and our family was very uncomfortable in the house. Just be aware when you come to Hawaii during the hot months and are intolerant of all day heat, look for a property that has air conditioning. Also the house sits along the busy 2 lane Kamehameha Highway with traffic going by day and night. Two of the three bedrooms face the highway so sleeping is a challenge. Most of the beachfront houses on the North Shore are situated that way. Being so close to the beach makes up for some inconveniences. All in all a nice property in a nice location."

"My wife and I stayed here with my parents and our 3 month old daughter and we could not have been happier with our accommodations. The house itself is just as described and shown in the photos. The kitchen is spacious and updated and has everything you could possibly need if you wanted a nice dinner in. The bedrooms are nice and spacious but the living room was our favorite room. Beautiful views and the sound of the ocean was amazing. We loved sitting outside in the mornings and having our coffee. The water was crystal clear and we were often the only ones on the beach which was nice. The snorkeling right in front of the house was really good and my wife and I swam with several large sea turtles throughout our stay. The manager JoAnn was even nice enough to loan us some of her gear.
It is away from all of the hustle and bustle but a very short drive to Haleiwa which is a great little town with shopping and several great food trucks and restaurants. I would 100% recommend this house to anyone and if we ever return would definitely stay here again. Thanks Joey Ann for being so accommodating and for a great stay!"

"This beautiful home exceeded our expectations. The wow factor exceeds 5-star but it is the peacefulness and the way it just feels like home that will make you wanting to come back time and again. Our family had the vacation of a lifetime in Hawaii and we feel so blessed to have been able to share it in this beautiful home. We loved the location, saw whales and sea turtles daily from the lanais and truly enjoyed the aloha experience. The home is even lovelier in person than the pictures."
