  • Awesome Country Oceanfront Getaway Palace

"This property is very unique as it is on Oahu but not near the busy cities and concrete jungle of Waikiki. Driving up to Punaluu is a fun relaxing drive and the setting is breathtaking. Oceanfront, large backyard, tradewinds, big bathrooms, wide open living room/ kitchen, clean, plenty of dishes, chairs, amenities, and most of all peaceful. We got a car load of groceries, met the family for a great bonding experience, carefree days and nights of food and fellowship. Another cool aspect of this property is it up to date - wifi, cable, no need towels, swimming and beach stuff - its all there! Annual visits from now on, do not change a thing."

  • The Homestead

"Our stay at The Homestead was great! It was a great size for the six of us and anything we needed help with was taken care of right away. It is a nice location to see all the activities on the North Shore."

  • Perfect spot on the north shore!

"We planned a 8 day family vacation, my wife, 51/2 yr old son and I to the north shore. We have been to Oahu several times, but this was the first time we've stayed on the windward side of the island. What a beautiful, quiet and relaxing place this is. First off, Darcelle the care taker is awesome. She was very easy to work with and was very accommodating. She greeted us on arrival and made sure we were in and comfortable and basically left us alone the rest of the time. The house is on the tip of a point and provides total privacy. Although there is no beach right in front of the home, probably the greatest beach I've been to is a mere 2 min walk away. You're also a 2 min drive away from Pounders Beach, a great spot for boogie boarding (which the house has plenty of to borrow). Having A washer and dryer was convenient to allow minimal packing. You are close to the grocery store and some great dining spots (Papa Ole rocks...try their MocoLoco). However, if you are a foodie, this may not be the part of the island for you, the restaurant selection is limited and mostly consists of shrimp trucks and beach food. You have to go to Turtle Bay or all the way to Haliewa to get more upscale grub. What really makes this part of the island nice is the lack of tourists. Most people stay in Honolulu/Wikiki, Ko Olina or the Sunset Beach area, so you tend to be with a lot more locals here. Less traffic and emptier beaches. We will probably stay here again in the future. You are literally right on the water and that makes for peaceful sleeps and beautiful sunrises!"

Hauula Travel Tips

The Forest for the Trees: Hauula Vacation Rentals

One of the major draws for people who choose to stay in Hauula vacation rentals is that the area is home to some of the largest parks and forest reserves on the entire island of Oahu. Just within a fifteen mile radius of the center of Hauula, there is Hauula Forest Reserve, the Pupukea-Paumalu Forest Reserve?, the Kaipapau Forest Reserve?, and the Ewa Forest Reserve. In the same area there is the Aukai Beach Park, the Kahana Valley State Park, the Ahupuaa O Kahana State Park, and the Sacred Falls State Park to name just a few.

While staying in one of the many available Hauula vacation rentals, it is possible to really reconnect with nature, enjoy a wonderful outdoors experience, and recharge your batteries. By the end of the vacation, you're sure to have seen the forest for the trees.

Hauula Vacation Rentals: Your Own Slice of Heaven

One of the best things about Hauula vacation rentals is the privacy that they offer, a kind of privacy that just cannot be had in a hotel. This can be important for couples who are looking for a romantic getaway. It can also be important to families with young children. After all, it's not much of a vacation for the kids if they are being shushed constantly for fear of disturbing the people in the next room. For small families, Hauula condos might be an ideal choice. There are also larger North Shore Oahu beach rentals for bigger families or for people looking for a large space to hold a reunion.

Whether you decide to stay in one of the Hauula condos or one of the larger North Shore Oahu beach rentals, you are sure to enjoy the freedom that staying in a vacation rental offers.
