  • Don't think twice...

"From the moment we stepped into the house and were welcomed by Troy and Janice with leis, we knew this was Oahu's North Shore at its best! The house was beautiful and the location right on the beach front was fabulous and House of the Rising Sun was indeed blessed with a direct view of the rising sun. It was spotlessly clean, linens and furnishings were perfect, fully equipment kitchen and even binoculars and beach equipment available to use. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this property for your vacation - it was so hard to leave it behind. Lastly, before they left us to it, Janice spent as long as we needed to highlight tourist information and tips that really made a difference to our stay."

  • first family vacation to hawaii

"After searching high and low for our first trip to the islands we decided to go with Dotty and Peter's house in Koolau Country Gardens in Hauula on the north shore and we were extremely happy we did. The house and view were beautiful and a great place to get away from the very busy city. It was very clean and spacious and private. Lots of things close by to do like beaches, swimming, surfing, tour attractions like polynesian culture center which is awesome, the dole plantation about 30 minutes away, Japanese temple, sunset beach, and world famous shrimp shack. Would love to go back soon and visit again. We have been home less than 2 days and are ready to go back. Thanks again Peter and Dotty you are incredible and so is your home and also special thanks to Brew for the heads up on the Heiau (old Hawaiin temple) and for your help. Aloha and Mahalo"

  • Wonderful large home for family vacation!

"We had a family reunion vacation with three of our kids, one spouse, four grand kids and my brother and sister in-law for nine days in this wonderful large home. The owner, Fawwaz is a great host who had a large bowl of bananas and pineapple waiting for us when we arrived. The house is so spacious with plenty of gathering room for all and the 7 bedrooms gave everyone plenty of privacy as well. The huge kitchen was the most used gathering place and had plenty of room to accomodate all of the cooks in our family. A fun beach is only a short walk away and then there are many other wonderful beaches close by also. Lots of beach toys at the house added to our fun. The Polynesian Cultural Center is just a short drive and we really enjoyed our day there. The owner has a great gift shop next door that everyone enjoyed and shopped at several times. The pictures of the house are very accurate and the home was clean upon our arrival. We all combined our pictures on one computer and enjoyed a great slide show on the big screen TV the last night we were there. I would highly recommend this home for any large gathering. Thank you Fawwaz!"

Hauula Travel Tips

The Forest for the Trees: Hauula Vacation Rentals

One of the major draws for people who choose to stay in Hauula vacation rentals is that the area is home to some of the largest parks and forest reserves on the entire island of Oahu. Just within a fifteen mile radius of the center of Hauula, there is Hauula Forest Reserve, the Pupukea-Paumalu Forest Reserve?, the Kaipapau Forest Reserve?, and the Ewa Forest Reserve. In the same area there is the Aukai Beach Park, the Kahana Valley State Park, the Ahupuaa O Kahana State Park, and the Sacred Falls State Park to name just a few.

While staying in one of the many available Hauula vacation rentals, it is possible to really reconnect with nature, enjoy a wonderful outdoors experience, and recharge your batteries. By the end of the vacation, you're sure to have seen the forest for the trees.

Hauula Vacation Rentals: Your Own Slice of Heaven

One of the best things about Hauula vacation rentals is the privacy that they offer, a kind of privacy that just cannot be had in a hotel. This can be important for couples who are looking for a romantic getaway. It can also be important to families with young children. After all, it's not much of a vacation for the kids if they are being shushed constantly for fear of disturbing the people in the next room. For small families, Hauula condos might be an ideal choice. There are also larger North Shore Oahu beach rentals for bigger families or for people looking for a large space to hold a reunion.

Whether you decide to stay in one of the Hauula condos or one of the larger North Shore Oahu beach rentals, you are sure to enjoy the freedom that staying in a vacation rental offers.
