Great vacation home!
"Our group of 9 adults had a wonderful stay in the beautiful home. The owner was very reachable before and after arrival and certainly desired for us to have a great experience in his home. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.
It is totally updated with hardwood floor through out. The lower level has 2 bedrooms (queen and 2 twins). These two bedrooms share a spacious bath. The main living area for this level is set up as a dining area. The kitchenette has a full size refrigerator, toaster oven, sink and microwave. This second refrigerator makes buying groceries at Costco in Honolulu possible. There is access to the two car garage from this level. The washer/dryer (detergents and fabric softeners supplied) was a great help to keep our luggage costs down.
Up the inside staircase brought you to the main living area. The spacious kitchen had granite counters and was very well stocked with utensils, dinnerware and pot/pans. Next a dining area for 6, one at the kitchen bar with additional seating at a 6 top table on the lanai. The living area has a comfortable sofa and love seat. The lanai is accessed from sliders in the living area. An amazing ocean breeze and ceiling fans in every room provided natural cooling for this home. There are three additional bedrooms (queen, queen, 2 twins) and 2 more baths. The home was clean and well appointed upon our arrival.
As with many homes in the Hawaiian islands, this home has no central air. Electricity here is the costliest in the nation. Two of the bedrooms had a portable AC. When we inquired where we might rent 3 more units, the owner provided 3 more for the other bedrooms. Rightfully so, he did express concern that we just use them for our comfort during the night time hours with our bedroom doors closed. We were certainly willing to comply.
We enjoyed the beach located directly across the street. We collected a large amount of sea glass during our stay. This beach was not occupied by anyone but us during the week and even on the weekends, there were only a few locals who came out to enjoy this beautiful beach. We do recommend sand shoes for this beach. The home has beach chairs and toys for your use.
Each one of us stated at different times that we would gladly rent this home again if we returned to the area. The North Shore area is the place to be on Oahu. Our 10 day stay at this home is one we will never forget. Thank you Brent!"

"Before this is the second vacation home I have ever stayed at, and I wasn't sure what to expect. This beautiful place exceeded all my expectations, the home is not only well cared for, but cared for with love, and it comes across in all the 'like home' details. Being able to use the ocean toys, laundry that you don't have to pull out a pile of quarters for, seasoning you can use in the kitchen, and plenty of clean towels really set this property apart from the rest.
My favorite part of this place is how well ventilated it is, we were there during some very warm days, but even on these days the breeze through the house (on the bottom level even) was comfortable. I appreciate that this house is both close to some really nice local beaches, as well as far enough away from the chaos of Honolulu.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone coming to the island who wants to be near the Polynesian Culture Center, BYU Hawaii, or just away from the hubbub of Honolulu."

"Everyone in our group did not want to leave this home on our last night. The kids didn't want to sleep early, even though we have to leave at 3:30 in the morning to catch our early flight home. Bill was so nice and accommodating. Told us that he has large bowls for "pho" when he knows we are Vietnamese. He also has a large rice cooker for us! Only one item Bill lack is chopstick, lots of chopsticks. Thank you Bill for sharing your beautiful place with our four families!"

"We stayed in the Koi pond and really enjoyed it. We loved the country setting and the convenient location to everything we wanted to do. The out door space was wonderful and the beds were REALLY comfortable. It is not fancy but well maintained. The only thing lacking was no A/C."
