  • Didn't want to leave!

"My wife, brother, and mother stayed in this bungalow for a week. Needless to say, I wish I was still there. This place is not on the beach, it's waterfront. Your backyard is the ocean. There is a wall separating the backyard from the ocean! Waves crash up against it and spray into the backyard. Pictures do not do this place justice. It is incredible! The North Shore of Oahu is a relaxing place. But staying at a resort is for tourists. If you want to do it right, this property is what you are looking for. We were away from the crowds, in the most peaceful of areas. The bungalow is exceptionally clean. There is a full kitchen, two bathrooms, and almost every room is equipped with ocean views. And if that's not enough, there are boogey boards, snorkel gear, water shoes, sunblock, beach towels, etc. You name it, they already thought of it and you have it at your disposal. Darcelle is the owner of the property and she will make sure you have everything you need during your stay. She greeted us upon arrival and told us just about everything that we needed to know. She is very sweet and accommodating. Thanks Darcelle! Do yourself a favor: skip the resorts, book a stay at Darcelle's bungalow, stay for as long as you can and enjoy this beautiful home away from home. I want to live here permanently, but I don't think Darcelle will let me. :) Mahalo!"

  • Great private oceanfront stay

"We really enjoyed our stay here. We were looking for a waterfront property, and we certainly found it. This house is right on the water, so it was nice to be able to constantly view the ocean from the bedroom and living room. I snorkeled off of the front of the house in the protected cove daily, and saw lots of cool tropical fish. The house had everything we needed plus some. The sun deck is a little rugged, but I'm not sure what else you can do when you are right on the water where the wind and salty spray are constant. The owners were great to work with and flexible. The location was convenient to the local restaurants and stores (try the tacos a mile or so to the North). Overall, a great way to just relax without dealing with all of the people at a resort."

  • Amazing

"The studio was in very good condition and very clean, and it has everything you need. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The location is amazing, you are just steps from a beautiful private beach, and a walk across the street you can get the best fish tacos on the island (North Shore Tacos). Papa Ole's across the street was really good too, try the Supreme pancake (share it, it is huge). I'd recommend getting a car, there are many awesome things to do in the area and you can just drive up and down the highway finding beautiful beaches, good food, and local stands. Try Ted's Bakery too. This is a one of a kind experience and one of the best experiences of my life. This is great if you do not want to be surrounded by Tourists--we went into Waikiki one of the days, but otherwise we were perfectly content spending time alone on the beach or wandering around the area. You can go out onto the beach at night and see every star in the sky, we were even lucky enough to see a shooting star. The wild life in the area is very cool as well, there was a wild peacock near the Waimea falls and just down the road is Turtle Beach with huge wild sea turtles sun bathing. All of these amazing opportunities are just a short drive from the beautiful studio, and everything is on the same road so it is pretty impossible to get lost. For an evening activity there is also a small movie theater down the road located to a nice restaurant and an ice cream parlor. Finally, I will add that this was a very inexpensive trip. The studio was much cheaper than any hotel in the area, you can walk across the street and buy groceries if you want to cook in the studio, and you can spend your time doing things in the area that are relatively inexpensive or free. Summary: Owners are great, studio smells good, is very clean and updated. The studio is perfect for two looking for a romantic stay. The location is unmatched, the food in the area is the best on the island, and your own private beach is gorgeous."

"Gorgeous! Gorgeous! Gorgeous! I cannot say enough about the impeccable grounds and homes on this property. It has every detail and is a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle. Truly fits big groups with ample space. Sound system an electronics top notch and good enough for group viewing. Best vacation ever!"

Hauula Travel Tips

The Forest for the Trees: Hauula Vacation Rentals

One of the major draws for people who choose to stay in Hauula vacation rentals is that the area is home to some of the largest parks and forest reserves on the entire island of Oahu. Just within a fifteen mile radius of the center of Hauula, there is Hauula Forest Reserve, the Pupukea-Paumalu Forest Reserve?, the Kaipapau Forest Reserve?, and the Ewa Forest Reserve. In the same area there is the Aukai Beach Park, the Kahana Valley State Park, the Ahupuaa O Kahana State Park, and the Sacred Falls State Park to name just a few.

While staying in one of the many available Hauula vacation rentals, it is possible to really reconnect with nature, enjoy a wonderful outdoors experience, and recharge your batteries. By the end of the vacation, you're sure to have seen the forest for the trees.

Hauula Vacation Rentals: Your Own Slice of Heaven

One of the best things about Hauula vacation rentals is the privacy that they offer, a kind of privacy that just cannot be had in a hotel. This can be important for couples who are looking for a romantic getaway. It can also be important to families with young children. After all, it's not much of a vacation for the kids if they are being shushed constantly for fear of disturbing the people in the next room. For small families, Hauula condos might be an ideal choice. There are also larger North Shore Oahu beach rentals for bigger families or for people looking for a large space to hold a reunion.

Whether you decide to stay in one of the Hauula condos or one of the larger North Shore Oahu beach rentals, you are sure to enjoy the freedom that staying in a vacation rental offers.
