  • What a way to spend a staycation!

"Mahalo Nui Larry for sharing your home with us. I write this review on our las night at Moana Lanui. Perfect perfect for anyone that needs a break! Aunty Ellen greeted us on our first day! Mahalo Aunty! Made us feel like we were friends of the family. We spent 5 days and 4 nights. Came here with my husband and 4 kids. We all had a great relaxing time. Again Larry we cannot thank you enough for opening your home to us and making the start of our kid's Spring Break something to remember!"

  • Quaint corner of paradise

"We stayed at the Koi Pond Suite and had a wonderful time. From the nearby beaches to the amenities which were minutes away, it was a great place to be. The kitchen had everything we needed, the suite also came with towels, linens, a cooler, wifi, cable and a washer/dryer. From our morning coffee on the lanai, or a nap on the hammock, it will beckon you back to Oah'u"

  • Amazing!

"My extended family of 15 stayed in this home for one week. The house was very clean, plenty of space for everyone, and the backyard was a beautiful beach that we nearly had to ourselves. We picked coconuts from the trees out front and made coconut bread from a recipe we received at the Polynesian Culture Center (located 5 miles away from home). We went to a nearby fruitstand and the local there told us how to cook the breadfruit that was also growing on the trees in front of the home. We bought fresh shrimp from a nearby stand and that night we cooked shrimp and breadfruit for dinner. We explored the tidepools literally, steps from the back door and found sea cucumbers, crabs, and tiny fish. A few miles down we saw a pregnant monk seal (named Honeygirl. The locals told us all about her). We saw some dolphins in the distance from our 'private' beach. Across the street from the home is a grocery store and in my opinion the best restaurant on the North Shore (Papa Ole's). All of these experiences were possible because of the beautiful place we stayed at, in such a great location. You can't do these types of things when you're staying in a hotel. Lata was great to work with and very accommodating. We did have a few ants, which was remedied when we were diligent about crumbs. I think this is pretty normal for any home!!"

  • Relaxation, with the ocean in your own backyard

"This rental is in a safe, quiet neighborhood with a low key, laid back Hawaiian lifestyle. Enjoy having the ocean in your back (or front!) yard - fishing, relaxing, watching the honu, listening to the waves - and enjoying what Hawaii has to offer. Clean, friendly, five stars all the way around. Very beautiful beach and I don't think you can get much closer to the ocean than this. I look forward to our next visit! Oh yea - the cat is very sweet and loved and well fed. Good people and good vibes all around with this rental. Hence all of the five star reviews. Get away from it all and check out Hau'ula!"
