"We spent a week here in early November 2012. My husband and I had the downstairs and my sister and her husband had the upstairs. It was a beautiful place to stay the sunrises were breathtaking. The owners were so nice and made everything easy for us. I hope some day to be able to come and stay again. We had plenty of room and everything we could need was provided for us. The views from the upstairs balcony were unbelievable so very beautiful. I would recommend grabbing this rental if it is available when you are planning your visit to Hawaii."

  • Good with Some Drawbacks

"This house sits pleasantly close to the beach. The beach itself is small but nice and sandy. There are some small rocks in the water adjacent to the beach which makes wading a little uncomfortable. The house finishes and furnishings are generally quite well done. The kitchen was more than adequate and the whole house was clean and in good condition. Our biggest disappointment was the arrangement of rooms: A large, second-story bathroom is plopped down right between the living area and the view to the ocean, thus hiding a potentially beautifully dramatic view. In addition, vegetation has grown up between the house and the ocean since the posted picture was taken so there is no view of the ocean from the lanai, either. Basically the only view of the ocean from this property is from the beach or from the second story bathroom which has a large picture window in it. The lanai itself is large and has comfortable chairs. It has no shading so in the mornings there is no way to use it without being fully exposed to the hot sun. The car parking area is directly adjacent to the road so one must either back into or out of the parking area onto a very busy highway; we held our breath every time we left and every time we parked the car! Despite the drawbacks, we enjoyed our time at this house, but would select another location next time."

Hauula Travel Tips

The Forest for the Trees: Hauula Vacation Rentals

One of the major draws for people who choose to stay in Hauula vacation rentals is that the area is home to some of the largest parks and forest reserves on the entire island of Oahu. Just within a fifteen mile radius of the center of Hauula, there is Hauula Forest Reserve, the Pupukea-Paumalu Forest Reserve?, the Kaipapau Forest Reserve?, and the Ewa Forest Reserve. In the same area there is the Aukai Beach Park, the Kahana Valley State Park, the Ahupuaa O Kahana State Park, and the Sacred Falls State Park to name just a few.

While staying in one of the many available Hauula vacation rentals, it is possible to really reconnect with nature, enjoy a wonderful outdoors experience, and recharge your batteries. By the end of the vacation, you're sure to have seen the forest for the trees.

Hauula Vacation Rentals: Your Own Slice of Heaven

One of the best things about Hauula vacation rentals is the privacy that they offer, a kind of privacy that just cannot be had in a hotel. This can be important for couples who are looking for a romantic getaway. It can also be important to families with young children. After all, it's not much of a vacation for the kids if they are being shushed constantly for fear of disturbing the people in the next room. For small families, Hauula condos might be an ideal choice. There are also larger North Shore Oahu beach rentals for bigger families or for people looking for a large space to hold a reunion.

Whether you decide to stay in one of the Hauula condos or one of the larger North Shore Oahu beach rentals, you are sure to enjoy the freedom that staying in a vacation rental offers.
