Fantastic Value on Oahu's North Shore!
"Our blended family of 7 had an amazing stay on Oahu's North Shore in the "Blue Hawaiian" unit #149W.
The condo is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The Kitchen is the best stocked kitchen of any vacation rental we've ever booked. We had to use the broiler to cook our meat most evenings as neither of us are great with a charcoal BBQ and couldn't keep it lit well enough to actually cook. But that was more than fine.
There are 2 boogie boards, several chairs, sand toys and lots of beach towels for days exploring Oahu's beaches. Our favourite was Waimea Bay which is about 12 minutes by car. The beach at Turtle Bay was great too, especially for snorkeling and is about a 7-10 minute walk. I'm sure without kids you could make it in 5-7 minutes.
Our favourite day trips were into Haleiwa for shave ice and food trucks. We also ate at Pizza Bobs on our last evening and found it to be excellent value and great service. We loved Waimea Bay and could have spent every day there body surfing if the conditions allowed. We went to the Aloha Stadium swap meet for our souvenir shopping and then an afternoon on Waikiki beach as well as a day at Ko Olina. We much preferred the beaches on the North Shore. The Polynesian Cultural Centre was great too. Bring a Hawaii Entertainment Book with you and get a free admission. Many car rental companies also provide a coupon. We saved about $150 on admission by going this way. We didn't do the luau and didn't feel we missed out as we saw so much else. Turtle Bay has a free Luau show on Sunday nights at 7pm which was fun. We ate at Ola that evening and then headed up to the Point at the pool for the sunset, a drink and the show.
With numerous pools on the property it was great for the kids for night swimming. Just be warned, the paths to the pools aren't lot very well and we had a couple of falls off the pathways. This has nothing to do with the unit though. We just brought our iphones after our first experience. :)
With the windows open the condo is well ventilated. The trade winds cool it down for the most part. It was quite warm on a couple of our evenings so we used the fans as well. We never needed the air conditioning.
The unit was clean and well kept and provided excellent value for the money spent. If you're looking to do Hawaii on a budget but still feel comfortable this is it. Hit Costco on the H2 Highway on your way up and you're good to go!
Thanks for a great trip"

"Thank you for having us as a guest in your beautiful villa. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The villa had everything we needed, even for my 1 year old niece and Regina was so nice and ensured all the small details were taken care of (wagon, baby bottle cleaner, blankets, crib, games, etc). the resort itself is of course picturesque, but it was the comfort that your villa provided that allowed my family to spend quality time together, which was what this trip was all about. Not only did we get to celebrate a birthday, we also were able to celebrate my engagement! What a beautiful place to get engaged! This trip is definitely one we will not ever forget.
Thanks and a big thank you to Regina!!

"My family and i stayed in the 3 bedroom villa, no. 211 for 3 nights from 17 - 20 April.
Our first reaction when we walked in was 'WOW'
Easy access to the villa via the lift or stairs.
The villa is beautifully furnished with a very well equipped kitchen and great laundry facilities.
Our villa had a wonderful view over the pool and out to the ocean.
The beds are extremely comfortable.
The bathrooms are luxurious and spacious. Plenty of bath and beach towels.
We went zip lining, a great experience and my husband played golf on the Palmer course. He loved the course.
A great information package was supplied by the owners which gave details of the villa and the resort and the local area.
i hope we will be able to return one day and Turtle Bay Villas will be my first choice."

Very quiet property in great location on the North Shore.
"We really enjoyed our stay at Plumeria House. Comfortable for 6 adults and one toddler. Although we were only such a large party for 2 nights. First night we arrived there was no hot water. Luckily we were too tired to be very inconvenienced and, after a few texts to the owner, a maintenance man arrived the next morning and installed a new water heater. Still had a few troubles with there being no hot water but they did fix the issue as soon as they were able so while it was a little irritating to be without hot water after a long day at the beach we realized stuff happens and we have absolutely no complaints with how they handled the mattered. They are fully stocked on gear: chairs, bikes, toys etc. And a quick note for parents. I have a very tall toddler ( not yet 2yrs but over 3"). The pack n' play they offer is big, 3"x 3". So large, I didn't recognize it for what it was and called the 'emergency' number in a panic, big enough for my kid to stretch out diagonally so there was no need to rent a full size crib from an outside company. That was a definite bonus! Would definitely stay here again."
