"After our long plane ride from the east coast and getting caught in Honolulu rush hour traffic, needless to say, we were weary travelers. We opened the door to the Hibiscus house and an immediate sense of relaxation washed over us. We knew right away this was going to be an amazing stay! The description is spot on. Open, airy and clean with stunning views. Almost every morning we were greeted with a rainbow, (even a double rainbow), and every evening we had amazing sunsets with whales breaching too! The kitchen is fully equipped and the appliances are all in excellent working order (except the toaster), we just needed to stock it up with food. Foodland is a 5 minute bike ride away. Every morning we took a beach walk then came back, ate breakfast on the deck then gathered up the provided beach chairs and towels and headed to the beach again. They have outdoor showers with hot water to wash off the beach sand before going back in the house. Like other reviewers said, the living room furniture is a little uncomfortable but we rarely sat on it because we were always on the deck. The beds are comfortable though. There is also a washer and dryer which is a huge plus because I packed fairly light. Bath towels are provided as well.
We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center for a luau and the fire show, "HA, Breath of Life". I'd give that 5 stars too. We also had a tour of Waimea Park which was amazing with exotic trees, flowers and waterfalls. I recommend taking the guided tour because the guides are extremely knowledgeable. In that same park on Thursdays is a Farmer's market which feature locally grown produce, crafts, fresh breads and prepared food. If you like a good workout, look up D.Bach Functional Fitness.
The Hibiscus house was a perfect fit for our group and we are planning on returning. Honolulu/Waikiki is 45 minutes away. Meh, it looks like any bustling beach city. It reminded be of South Beach. It was fun for one night but for the rest of our stay the North Shore of Oahu was the way to go. It is super laid back and peaceful.
Mahalo Hawai'i and Hibiscus house owners!!!"

"We enjoyed our stay. The owners were friendly, professional, and easy to work with, making the process booking and checking in very easy. The location of the condo is great, as it's easy to access all the nearby resort's activities (without having to pay the resort prices!) and most everything worth seeing and doing on the North Shore was a convenient drive of thirty minutes or less. The only thing we wished was for the property to have been cleaned a little more thoroughly. It was clear things had been washed and vacuumed and what not, but we noticed the vent in the bathroom was covered in lint, the tub in need of scrubbing, things like that. Nothing bad, but it's nice when a rental is kept to the same standards of cleanliness as if it were part of a resort."

"My husband and I and our two kids stayed in a villa during the week of the fourth of July. IT WAS AMAZING!!! The villa is well equipped with everything you might need. Also, the beach locker is stocked full of all sorts of beach essentials. The view was incredible! My husband's favorite part of the trip was sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful view. One morning we woke up to a monk seal sleeping in front of our villa on the beach! The resort had lots of amenities....my husband and son took full advantage of the awesome golf courses. We were able to watch the fireworks right outside our villa on the beach. This unit was more than we could have asked for. We can't wait to come back!"
