  • Family Retreat

"We have family in Haleiwa and Hawaii Kai, so we are on the island quite often. Jack's place is one we would definitely come back to. Everything was clean, modern and well maintained. We enjoyed the large kitchen and dining room for family dinners and very much appreciated the well stocked condiments. That's something you won't get in other places! We all enjoyed the large lanai and ocean view. The sunsets were amazing. We fell in love with Jack's border collies and looked forward to coming home after a day at the beach and playing ball. The property was beautiful. It's obvious Jack has put a lot of love and sweat into his place and we were thankful that he shared it with us! Mahalo!"

  • Perfect spot on the north shore!

"We planned a 8 day family vacation, my wife, 51/2 yr old son and I to the north shore. We have been to Oahu several times, but this was the first time we've stayed on the windward side of the island. What a beautiful, quiet and relaxing place this is. First off, Darcelle the care taker is awesome. She was very easy to work with and was very accommodating. She greeted us on arrival and made sure we were in and comfortable and basically left us alone the rest of the time. The house is on the tip of a point and provides total privacy. Although there is no beach right in front of the home, probably the greatest beach I've been to is a mere 2 min walk away. You're also a 2 min drive away from Pounders Beach, a great spot for boogie boarding (which the house has plenty of to borrow). Having A washer and dryer was convenient to allow minimal packing. You are close to the grocery store and some great dining spots (Papa Ole rocks...try their MocoLoco). However, if you are a foodie, this may not be the part of the island for you, the restaurant selection is limited and mostly consists of shrimp trucks and beach food. You have to go to Turtle Bay or all the way to Haliewa to get more upscale grub. What really makes this part of the island nice is the lack of tourists. Most people stay in Honolulu/Wikiki, Ko Olina or the Sunset Beach area, so you tend to be with a lot more locals here. Less traffic and emptier beaches. We will probably stay here again in the future. You are literally right on the water and that makes for peaceful sleeps and beautiful sunrises!"

  • Fabulous Location/Fabulous Time

"We rented this unit for our family vacation and have a wonderful time. The North Shore location was perfect and the villa accomodations were immaculate and comfortable (especially the beds!). The unit we stayed in looked out onto the beach/cove at the Turtle Bay Resort and was within a short 2-minute walking distance from the other resort activities. We look forward to our next visit!"

  • Great place

"Just came back to mainland from a great stay here at this home. 12 people no problems, Tony and Nikki hosts were great. Quite part of island away from crowds and high rises. Would stay again."
