  • Beautiful Vacation Home

"We were very satisfied with our stay at this vacation rental, it looks exactly like the pictures showed. There was more than enough room for our party of 10, 5 adults and 5 children and still had 2 empty beds. It had all the amenities required to have the best family vacation. This home was very private, most days we were the only people on the beach, it was like our very own paradise. It is very close to grocery stores, north shore, many restaturants all along the highway. There were more than enough towels and beach chairs for all. Having onsite laundry was very handy with 5 children. We would highly recommend this place for a quiet get away, if you are looking for lots of action this is not for you. We brought our children to Waikiki and they asked to go back to "our Beach"."

  • It was perfect!

"We used this property as a place for neighbor island guests to stay while our wedding was held about 10 minutes down the road. It was perfect. The house was really clean and had many nice extras that added to the overall atmosphere. Our guests loved the easy access to the beach and made good use of the beach and ocean. They also enjoyed the lanai for early coffee and late night cocktails and conversations. The owners were super cool to delay our returning the keys so we did not have to make an extra drive into Honolulu. Very pleasant and easy to deal with."

  • Great North Shore Value

"First, Would I stay at this property again? Yes! Second, Would I recommend it to my friends? Depends... I have friends that prefer hotels like Ritz-Carlton, Hilton, Four Seasons... I would not send them here. But I would certainly recommend this house to my Super8, Comfort Inn and EconoLodge friends. As other reviewers have noted, the house is older and the decor is indeed, perfectly imperfect. Mismatched silverware, assorted plates, various pots/pans and assorted furniture, but all functional. And speaking of functional, the owner took to heart the July 7th comment about the kitchen cabinets: The kitchen has all new cabinets and new marble counter-tops. The A/C units all worked great and internet access was fine. As for the beach, just go a couple houses to the left and you're away from the rocks. We found grocery shopping to be less expensive in Hauula than Laie. Get your tacos at North Shore Tacos, your burgers at 7 Brothers and your smoothies at the Grind next to Cackle Fresh Eggs."

  • Nakapakea

"Our family stay at Nakapakea was excellent ! The facilities are first rate and very well maintained. Mailaekahana is in our opinion the best beach in Hawaii. A wonderful time was had by all of our children and grandchildren. Thanks again Nancy and Bill for everything."
