  • Ideal Hawaiian getaway

"We have enjoyed this unit for the past few years and love the quiet, peaceful location. I love relaxing at the pool and watching the skydivers come floating back down to earth. We also enjoy watching the sunset from the sea wall. While it's 40 minutes from Honolulu, it's easy to plan a days outing if you want to shop and visit sites on the other side of the island. We enjoy watching the Banzai Pipeline surfing at Sunset Beach and visiting the shrimp and food trucks on the North Shore. The historic town of Haleiwia is just down the road and Waimaie Falls is not much farther. The unit is very comfortable for two and will accommodate more if needed. Everything you need is available, just bring your bathing suit!"

  • Wonderful home on the beach

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home on the beach. Nearly everything you could want or need is at the home. From snorkel gear, reef shoes, boogie boards, beach chairs, kitchen equipment, etc., it’s all there. The home was clean and the beds were comfortable. Robert, the property manager, is a great guy, very helpful and has a wealth of information on the area. The beach is not private, but public access points are several miles away each direction, so we only had a handful of other people pass by each day. There are many restaurants and shops in Haleiwa Town, about a 10 minute drive away. The family that owns the home next door had a gathering one Saturday (they don’t live there full time) that we found enjoyable. They were very nice people and we enjoyed chatting with them, watching them fish, and watching the teenagers play in the ocean. They were doing the same thing we were…..enjoying their beach home. We saw turtles in the ocean every day, and a few days one or two of them were sleeping on the beach right at the house. There’s a skydiving center several miles down the road, so we could sit on the beach watching the skydivers, surfers, and sailboarders in the distance. It was truly a great vacation."

  • North Shore Paradise!

"We recently spent a week at this amazing location. This is my second time to the island, and my girlfriend’s fifth. Tom was readily available, and accommodating when setting up the arrangements. He also gave us some great tips on how to experience his little slice of heaven that proved their worth. Upon arrival, we were amazed at the peacefulness of the street. As we walked through the gate, we were met with a wide array of tropical flowers and plumeria trees. Walking around to our side of the house, we glimpsed green anoles skittering away... we had found paradise! Entering the house, we found it to be well stocked with all the amenities and the furnishings clean and in good condition. There are some books on local topics, and a few dvds, but I promise, you won't turn on the tv for your whole stay. As you walk out the back of the house, through a beautiful wooden, sliding-glass, door, you are met with a small glimpse of the ocean, just a hundred steps, at most, from the house. As you wind through a well-kept path through the bushes, you are soon met with an incredible sight of the breaking against the reef a couple of hundred yards off the beach. There is a small table, adjacent to the beach, perfect for a drink as you unwind after a day of discovery… this is where we spent every evening, watching the sun fall. The neighbors were all quite friendly, but to be honest, we only saw a handful during the seven days we stayed. Being December, we were able to see some of the largest waves the North Shore has to offer, and caught a bit of the Van's Tour at Sunset Beach, and Pipeline. We also explored Haleiwa to our heart's content. All of the places mentioned were just a very short drive from the house. If you want to experience Oahu, and the North Shore, as it is supposed to be experienced, and want to stay away from the hustle and crowds of Honolulu, come visit Tom's house and relax in tranquil paradise! Thank you, Tom, for giving me the perfect backdrop to propose... she said yes!"

  • Beautiful Home

"My husband and I stayed at the Honu Hale II for 10 days. We have beautiful memories of our stay. The home was very nice, very inviting, it was truly a home away from home. We would not hesitate to stay there again. We would recommend this home to our friends & family. We would also recommend the Swap meet at the Aloha Stadium, don't pay the inflated prices that the ABC shops are asking, prices at the swap meet are so much cheaper, visiting as my beaches as possible, Deep sea Fishing at Maggie Jo's what can I say AWSOME !!! Whale watching, and of course a trip into Honolulu at least for one day. Thank you to Linda the caretaker of the property was such a great help. Mahalo for now !!!"
