"Great location, well stocked with kitchen and beach items. It does get a little loud with traffic noise from the road. The solution is to sleep on the comfy couches in the living room. We put them together to make a great bed. This place is very close to the Polynesian Cultural Center, a must see for your North Shore stay!"

  • Ideal location for a relaxing vacation

"We spent 9 nights here and enjoyed our stay. The place was very clean and the owners were very accommodating. Watching the sun rise thru the palm trees was spectacular. Bring binoculars! Other family members rented units on Floor 1 & 3. I have to say that Floor 4 definitely had the best view. The beach/pool combination was great. The protected beach had just enough waves for my 8 year old and her cousins (2,7,9) to play in the waves without getting smashed into the shore. We were out swimming during the day Hurricane Iselle passed and the beach felt safe. The condo building had lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas. The unit was fully stocked. We had all the kitchen gadgets we could think of, sand toys, beach towels, boogie boards and all the necessities for a little one (portable crib, high chair, etc). My one complaint is that the pullout sofa is still broken. It may have been my misunderstanding of the ad, but I believed it was going to be fixed. I do not believe the place could sleep 5 people comfortably unless 3 of the people are small children."

  • Very nice unit and location

"We spent almost 2 weeks here and found it to be perfect for us. The view from the 6th floor is fantastic (sunrises every morning and 1 incredible full moon rising at night). Before the trip, Lisa was a pleasure to communicate with very helpful. We were fortunate to meet her one day too...a very nice surprise. After arriving at the condo parking lot, a friendly security person helped by showing us where the key was located (and how to open the box) and gave us directions to the local market (Tamura's) a few miles away. (Lisa also told us about Papa Ole's near Tamura's....very good food!) The condo was very clean and everything thing you'll need for preparing your own meals (and much more) is available. And the fridge has a nice supply of condiments and seasonings to get you started. The reason we liked the location was because it's away from the crowds and city traffic. But, everyone will need to realize that, if you want to play tourist and see the Oahu sites and attractions, you're going to be driving a distance for them and you'll likely be in traffic. But that's the situation wherever you stay on Oahu if you want to travel around the island. Recommendation for a nice beach we found by accident is Sherwood Forest (Kalanianaole Hwy in Waimanalo (look for the gate across from the Honolulu Polo Club). We highly recommend this property!"

  • Fantastic

"We just returned from a fantastic stay. A couple of things I'd like to highlight: When Hurricane Ana caused our airline to cancel flights to Oahu, the property owner Kathy immediately agreed to let us change our dates at the last minute. No extra fees, no hassle. We had a minor issue during our stay. Kathy helped us out immediately and everything was fine. (We have not experienced this level of assistance with other VRBO rentals.) The house has a beautifully-landscaped yard, which is not apparent from the photos. The back yard backs up to a stream or some such body of water and there is also a koi pond. There are fish and flowers all over the place. It made a nice backdrop for some portraits of our little one. Others have mentioned the highway noise. The traffic is louder than the ocean, but most places this close to the water on Oahu are on the same highway so it's going to be an issue if you want to stay on the water. The beds were comfortable and there were loads of towels and linens. The washer and dryer on the back patio were full-size, worked well, and we used them daily. There is no A/C but it didn't feel uncomfortable. The windows are all screened, so we just kept them open with the fans on. My husband loved the food at the Shrimp Shack food truck down the street, but they close at 5pm, so try it out for lunch instead of dinner."
