"This is a great rental for families. Everything lives up to it's description. It is an older Hawaiian style home, with some nice updates in the kitchen and windows. The home is comfortably furnished, the neighborhood is quiet, friendly and safe. Beautiful fenced yard with shade, and private steps to the beach. The view can't be beat! I definitely think it was absolutely the best rental in Haliewa in our price range and had everything we needed, from beach towels to boogie boards. Very clean and well maintained. Just be realistic about what you are getting. This is an affordable, family rental, not a 5 star luxury hotel, no air conditioning, but the windows and fan cool it down nicely, and if it's hot just take a dip in the ocean like you see the locals doing. The second bathroom, while in the garage, is fully equipped and has a window. It's just a 5 minute drive to the town and a few minutes more to Shark's Cove, Waimea, and other beaches. Not that you need to go anywhere... the beach at the house is incredible! We stocked up at Costco on our way from the airport, and filled in with things from local markets, food trucks, and restaurants. Very comfortable for my husband and I, our teenage daughters, and my father. We loved it and we will be back!"

"Looking for a wonderful place to stay on the North Shore of Hawaii? Our family would highly recommend the Hawaiian Heaven on an Empty Beach, LLC. Our family stayed there in June 2015. There was plenty of room for 10 people, the accommodation were wonderful. Plenty of bathrooms, bikes to ride, wifi, TV, games, and ping pong. The beach way close, play in the waves, or just sit watch or listen to the waves break. The sunsets are amazing.
The neighboring beaches are close. Turtle bay, sunset beach, Sharks cove and others.
Polynesian Culture Center is a fun place to go, the shoe and Luau and show were great.
It's a home away from home. Dan and Shelly are wonderful people to work with, and answer questions in a timely manner. The welcome basket was enjoyed by all and a pleasant surprise.
Would we do this again? Absolutely

Very quiet property in great location on the North Shore.
"We really enjoyed our stay at Plumeria House. Comfortable for 6 adults and one toddler. Although we were only such a large party for 2 nights. First night we arrived there was no hot water. Luckily we were too tired to be very inconvenienced and, after a few texts to the owner, a maintenance man arrived the next morning and installed a new water heater. Still had a few troubles with there being no hot water but they did fix the issue as soon as they were able so while it was a little irritating to be without hot water after a long day at the beach we realized stuff happens and we have absolutely no complaints with how they handled the mattered. They are fully stocked on gear: chairs, bikes, toys etc. And a quick note for parents. I have a very tall toddler ( not yet 2yrs but over 3"). The pack n' play they offer is big, 3"x 3". So large, I didn't recognize it for what it was and called the 'emergency' number in a panic, big enough for my kid to stretch out diagonally so there was no need to rent a full size crib from an outside company. That was a definite bonus! Would definitely stay here again."
