  • OUTSTANDING PLACE TO STAY

"My friend and I came out to the North Shore for a Surf Trip and it was one of the best trips of my life. This place was very warm and accommodating and the family who rented it out to us were fantastic! The place was very clean and comfortable. They have a hot skillet so you could cook anything from eggs to grilled chicken. They know the area very well and recommended places to eat or visit. The location is perfect! It is just 5 minutes from pipeline and very close to other prime surfing spots. They have a hot tub on the roof that you can use and the scenery is very beautiful... Can't wait to go again!"

  • Awesome!!!

"Me and my husband stayed here for 3 nights when we visited the north shore. Right from the get go, George and Kathy were so helpful and nice, George recommended places to eat, surf, snorkel and tour. The space was so clean and well taken care of, we loved the balcony to have our morning coffee on. They supply bikes, snorkel gear, boogie boards and beach chairs. It is in the perfect location, the beach is a 2 minute walk across the street, and very close to foodland, the coffee bean, and numerous food trucks. We spent a lot of time at sharks cove (5 min walk) and watched the sunset on sunset beach, which we drove to and it took 3 mins. Definitely will recommend this place, and will stay again when we visit!! mahalo george and kathy!!"

  • Two weeks in heaven....

"On the way from the Honolulu airport we stopped at Costco to pickup some basics. Fedexed in wine and Mai Tai equipment. Found a fish monger in Haliewa. And after that pretty much did nothing but sit on the deck overlooking Monster Mush and Rocky Point and ate, drank, surfed and relaxed. Every night we fell asleep to the waves by 10:00 pm. And every morning a great walk on the beach. A wonderful house where there are basically four separate apartments. We were there with out 3 adult children. All the amenities were as advertised and better. This is not a place to come to in the winter (November-April) if you want a place right outside your house to swim, especially if you have young children. We had one day which was safe enough for swimming/snorkeling for non-waterpeople. My son and his pro surfer buddy actually had to go out and save a Mom and her son that made a bad decision to boogie board in some really rough surf. But even in the winter there are some beaches that are very accessible and safe for families. Bring good binoculars for the whales and surfers and as with any VRBO place, bring your own coffee grinder, citrus squeezer and a good butcher and paring knife. What an absolutely fantastic place. Book it, get a plane ticket, get your supplies, go directly there, cook everything at the house and never leave. Maybe the public bus right outside the house to Turtle Bay Resort (the only resort on North Shore) for a spa treament, lunch and cocktail! We've been practically everywhere and this was the best family vacation ever!"

  • Location, quiet, relaxing

"The surf studio room is clean, quiet, very pretty, and right in the heart of North Shore surfing beaches (which can be calm swimming beaches at some times during the year). Everything you need is provided, including a fridge, towels, plates, bikes, everything. The shower is awesome! If you want the peace and quiet of the north shore, this is a perfect place. Ted's Bakery is an easy 5 minute walk, Foodland grocery store is a 5 minute drive, the Turtle Bay Resort is a 10 minute drive, and Waimea Bay, Pipeline, Sunset, Pupukea, and lots of secret beaches are all within a 10 minute drive. I highly recommend the Surf Studio!"
