  • Not Just Another Home in Paradise!

"It's always a bit of a risk when you rent a vacation home sight unseen over the internet, but not in this case. The photos do not do justice to this unbelievably magnificent house with its amazing beach front setting. Our family stayed here during a prewedding get-together. Everyone (ages 32 to 81) felt that everything was perfect for our stay. The four bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and well designed, the living room and dining area can easily accommodate all the indoor activities of any group and the instructions are clear. What can't be easily communicated is how unexpectedly fabulous the setting is. The house is directly on the beach with no noise from the road with uninterrupted views of the beautiful beach in all three directions from the large deck. The sunsets and rainbows are without comparison, and swimming and snorkeling and surfing are possible right out front. Thank you, Tara, for sharing your home with all of us and for making my family think I am a genius for finding "Hale Kalea"."

  • Stellar Stay, Once Again!

"Our third trip to this nice little beach home. Leaving Colorado in winter for the North Shore is always a treat. This was a spontaneous trip this time, trying to catch a glimps of the Eddie Big Wave surf inventational (didn't happen). Saying that to say that the house was spotless clean and ready for us right on time and we had only booked the day before! Great service as always! If your visiting in winter months, the house can get quite moist from the huge surf spray. At night your bed sheets might feel damp so go and pop them in the dryer right before bed. Then they are warm and dry. Embrace this house and you will feel all the aloha you need to make your trip to the North Shore spectacular!"

  • Perfect!

"We spent a week at Daniela and Larry's studio and could not have asked for more! The studio is in a great location to explore the North Shore and provides everything you could possibly need. It actually seems larger than it appears in the pictures and has a spacious walk-in closet that easily held our luggage and served as a changing room. The studio is tastefully furnished with comfortable furniture (I slept like a baby the entire time we were there) and has a well stocked kitchen in terms of dishes, glasses, cookware, etc. There were plenty of extra towels and sheets and even a couple of ponchos in the event it was raining. It also has a great lanai with two comfy chairs and a cafe table which is perfect for your morning coffee or an evening drink or dinner. I also want to stress how clean the studio was; it was spotless, kitchen, floors, bathroom everything and no bugs. This was very important to me as I am a clean freak and have left places before if they didn't meet my standards. The beach is a quick walk across the street and was the perfect place for a walk or to watch the sunset or the surfers. There are also beach supplies you can use while you're there which is very convenient. We just tossed the stuff in the back of the rental car on Monday and took it everywhere we went. The studio is also within walking distance to Ted's Bakery, which quickly turned into a morning routine for us. I highly recommend the glazers, so yummy. It is also a short drive to Shark's Cove (snorkeling) and Shark's Cove Grill which had great food. We had a fantastic stay and Daniela and Larry were great! Their hospitality can't be beat! Daniela was very prompt to reply to our initial inquiry and kept in contact with us through the day of our check-in. Once there, they are around if you need anything but otherwise you wouldn't know they were there. We would absolutely stay at their studio again and highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the North Shore! Go ahead and book; you won't be sorry!"

  • Great location!

"We loved every minute of our most recent surf trip to the North Shore. This unit is smack dab in the middle of the all the action. We took a short pedal (bikes provided) to Sunset Beach to watch the HIC pro event. The Foodland is within walking distance if you are in need of an Ono Pop (best whole-fruit popsicle around). On flatter surf days, we walked to Sharks Cove for top-notch snorkeling (gear provided, if you need it), plus, we hit the Waimea Farmers' Market every Wednesday (we took our car to load up on fresh veggies and Link's bacon and sausages, but you could easily ride a bike). Not a surfer? Winter wave watching on the North Shore is awesome. The unit is well kept, clean and simple. The kitchen has all the basic supplies plus a few extras like a rice maker and a blender. The living room is comfortable with enough space for two yoga mats to stretch after surfing. The unit is bright and breezy. The owners are friendly and happy to help."
