  • Loving the North Shore

"Our adult family group of 7 stayed here for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The view from the lanai was incredible and the sunsets were more amazing each night. Booking this accommodation was relatively easy from Australia and reassuring when it was through a real estate agency. The house had everything you could possibly need. It was clean on arrival and we utilised the washing facilities. There was so much to see and do in the North Shore area. The Foodland was also very handy. The only down side was the sofa beds that need upgrading as we had to place the mattress on the floor. We were also able to see North Shore photographer Clark Little at work straight out the front when the first winter swell rolled in- amazing as we were already fans and familiar with his work and yes, we did get selfies with him! Overall a great stay at a great location at a great time of year!"

  • Very nice, secluded private, close to everything on the north shore!

"Our first visit to Hawaii, the island of Oahu, was a very pleasant and enjoyable vacation. I was unsure of where to stay and took a chance at renting through VRBO. We definitely made the right choice in staying at the Plumeria house. Very secluded and private with 2 security gates. Very relaxing and very close to great snorkeling and scenic Wiamea bay. The house has some age but is very well kept and has everything you will need during your vacation. 10 minute walk to Foodland grocery store, and they even had a $50.00 gift card to get you started! We highly recommend Tropical Waters for your Hawiian vacation."

  • WOW! Sunset Hale is the best!

"This place was amazing! My wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary in August and had several friends come and join us on the island. We had a total of 4 couples in the Sunset Hale home and it was big enough that everyone had enough privacy but was also set up so that we could all be comfortable in one space (deck, living room, kitchen...etc.) whenever necessary. The wrap around deck was great for entertaining and the view of the ocean was incredible! The home was very clean and exceeded our expectations even with all the pictures listed on vrbo. The property manager, Annastacia, was awesome in communicating both before and during our stay, and my deposit was refunded almost immediately after the end of our stay! The location is great....a brief walk to beautiful sunset beach on the North Shore! They even had 4 beach bikes in the garage for us to use. If you are unfamiliar with the North Shore, it is a stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. But there is no shortage of things to see and do. Within 5-10 minutes you have beach, waterfalls, Turtle Bay resort/golf, Polynesian Cultural Center and Haleiwa surf town! There were only two things that I would recommend. First, there was only one roll of toilet paper for each bathroom and that's all they supply. There is a grocery store less than 2 miles away so this wasn't that big of a deal but would have been nice to know ahead of time. Second, the driveway is long, uphill and narrow. My only suggestion would be to put some lighting along the driveway (even the cheap solar power photocell lights), as we found ourselves walking up and down at night frequently. In General, this place was overwhelmingly beautiful and ended up being just what we needed. We had our vow renewal ceremony on the beach right across the street from the house all of our guests, who stayed or stopped by the property were blown away! Thank you guys for being such an amazing part of our anniversary celebration! Mahalo!"

  • Beautiful Retreat Mahalo Nui!

"Our leadership team stayed at Plumeria Hale for a five day retreat (four adults and two children). The home and location was so much more than we could have imagined. The setting is stunning with majestic mountains sometimes caressed by sweeping rains on one side, and a beautiful, family friendly beach on the other. The yard, orchard and outdoor areas were as beautiful as the home, which was perfect. The downstairs lanai with large windows provided the perfect place to hold our sessions, while still allowing spaces for our children to be upstairs with our child care provider. The location was quiet and peaceful with a very good feeling, the perfect backdrop to finding clarity and direction for our leadership team. It was also an ideal starting point for exploring the stunning North Shore including Waimea Valley, Shark's Cove and Haleiwa. Air conditioning in the master bedroom and fans throughout the house were much appreciated as was the beach chairs, bikes and snorkel gear provided. Anastashia was amazing, attending to our every concern promptly with aloha. The owner Dan was also super nice and even left us a bunch of bananas harvested from the yard. We are so grateful for our experience here and will definitely come again. Mahalo nui!!!"
