  • Location, quiet, relaxing

"The surf studio room is clean, quiet, very pretty, and right in the heart of North Shore surfing beaches (which can be calm swimming beaches at some times during the year). Everything you need is provided, including a fridge, towels, plates, bikes, everything. The shower is awesome! If you want the peace and quiet of the north shore, this is a perfect place. Ted's Bakery is an easy 5 minute walk, Foodland grocery store is a 5 minute drive, the Turtle Bay Resort is a 10 minute drive, and Waimea Bay, Pipeline, Sunset, Pupukea, and lots of secret beaches are all within a 10 minute drive. I highly recommend the Surf Studio!"

  • Awesome beach house

"A wonderful beach cottage with a spectacular view and access to beach. We had a great stay here. The house is nice but still feels like a beach house, not pretentious like some vacation homes try to be. It was great for our small family with a three year old. Mike was very accommodating and helpful, he always replied promptly to my questions and was a great host once we arrived. The location is great, close to the bike path and all the beautiful sunset area beaches; Haleiwa is not too far away if you want to go to "town" and there are fun food trucks and a grocery store within a couple of miles. But the best part is just being at the house. The setting right on the water is amazing. We loved bring able to watch and hear the waves. The sound of the waves inside the house is incredible, it was almost too loud sometimes, but when we got home I missed falling asleep and waking up to the sound. We also watched surfers and kite boarders right from the house. The beach right in front was not very good for swimming in April but it was a very short walk to swim. The king and queen sized beds were quite comfortable, we didn't use the third bedroom. I would recommend the house for a family. Although it is three bedroom, it is on the small side and a group of friends might not have a lot of privacy. The bathrooms are also very small and side by side with no en suite bathrooms for the bedrooms. Highly recommended overall."

  • Location, location, location

"Just returned home from a 10 day stay at this house, and we're already planning out our next vacation back. The house was perfect for my family of 5-- me and my husband and our 8, 6 and 2 year old kids. We visit Oahu every year, but have always stayed at a 4-star hotel in Waikiki. After dealing with the horrible traffic, crowds and ridiculous fees at the hotels, I decided last year that from then on we would rent a house away from Honolulu. This was our first time renting a house, and hands down this is our best vacation yet! The house was quiet, clean, protected by gates that locked, had every amenity that we needed...and the beautiful beach was just a few steps away. Every morning we would quickly eat breakfast and then walk back out to the beach and relax there until lunch. Although shark's cove, waimea and ehukai/sunset beaches were all within walking distance, we felt that the beach out back was better for our family...less crowded (never more than 50-60 people on Ke Iki!) and if we forgot something at the house one of us could just quickly run back to get it. We BBQ'd on the lanai, and relaxed out there when the house got too warm inside (only AC in the bedrooms). Full cable and large flat screen TV was available, as was a washer and dryer. Cathy, the property manager, was a pleasure to work with. Everything that I needed was taken care of right away. I can't explain how much we enjoyed our stay--we will definitely be back!"
