  • Perfect beach break

"We stayed here for 12 nights and for my husband and I, it's was just perfect! We loved the location. Perfect beach accross the road. The bikes kept us fit as we enjoyed Teds bakery's breakfast a few too many mornings. The house was lovely. Has an oven and fridge great for us as we cooked most nights. We felt very relaxed and at home at this little slice of paradise! Thanks guys x"

  • Exactly as advertised

"We just returned from Hawaii and I wanted to write a review for this unit. From the moment we booked, Fred was friendly and very easy to deal with. We arrived to O'ahu late around 1am. Fred made it easy by giving us the access code for the door and we had no problems getting in. The location and size of this unit was perfect for our needs. I love the North Shore so much and I always try to stay there when I visit. The unit is right across the street from Ted's bakery and a quick walk to either Sunset Beach or Velzyland. The unit was very clean when we arrived and were provided with everything that was promised. It was really nice to have bikes to ride around on. The tires were flat on the bikes, so I texted Fred and the next thing I knew, there is a bike pump on the door step for us. Fred was very communicative during our week stay through texting. Anytime we had a question or a need, he was there to answer. His daughter lives upstairs, but you would never know. They were very quiet and they never disturbed us at all. In fact, we think we were the ones disturbing since we had 2 loud and energetic little boys. All in all, I am very happy we found this place and how smoothly everything went. The only problem we really had was the internet was choppy. Fred mentioned they were testing out a new router or something. I hope they can have it fixed for the next renters. Other than one little issue, everything was perfect. We loved our stay and would stay again in a heartbeat. Mahalo for everything Fred!!"

  • Great beach stay

"Upon entering the house we were really impressed - it was super clean and tidy, private and secure, and had a great spot along a truly stunning beach. It was only moments to Pipeline and Ted's Bakery in one direction, and food trucks, Foodland and Haleiwa Town in the other. (Haleiwa being a 10-15 min drive - Banzai Sushi Bar a must!) The beds were comfy and linen and towels and beach chairs clearly updated since a previous review. Kitchen was really well equipped and the BBQ got a good workout during our stay. We had an issue with the TV at one point which was quickly responded to with a personal visit - the entertainment system does seem over complicated though. Another bike or two would have been good to cater for our party of five - additional bikes can be hired just down the road though. We enjoyed many sunset drinks on the massive balcony. It's a pity you can't see the break from the outdoor lounge though, we became quite envious of the surrounding houses elevated balconies. Can't complain too much though - it wasn't hard to take a chair down onto the beach! All in all we had a great and relaxing stay and saw some massive surf (too dangerous for swimming but spectacular to watch). It was pricey but properties at Christmas were hard to come by - particularly right on the beach. I loved the North Shore and I'll be back."

  • Perfect!

"We spent a week at Daniela and Larry's studio and could not have asked for more! The studio is in a great location to explore the North Shore and provides everything you could possibly need. It actually seems larger than it appears in the pictures and has a spacious walk-in closet that easily held our luggage and served as a changing room. The studio is tastefully furnished with comfortable furniture (I slept like a baby the entire time we were there) and has a well stocked kitchen in terms of dishes, glasses, cookware, etc. There were plenty of extra towels and sheets and even a couple of ponchos in the event it was raining. It also has a great lanai with two comfy chairs and a cafe table which is perfect for your morning coffee or an evening drink or dinner. I also want to stress how clean the studio was; it was spotless, kitchen, floors, bathroom everything and no bugs. This was very important to me as I am a clean freak and have left places before if they didn't meet my standards. The beach is a quick walk across the street and was the perfect place for a walk or to watch the sunset or the surfers. There are also beach supplies you can use while you're there which is very convenient. We just tossed the stuff in the back of the rental car on Monday and took it everywhere we went. The studio is also within walking distance to Ted's Bakery, which quickly turned into a morning routine for us. I highly recommend the glazers, so yummy. It is also a short drive to Shark's Cove (snorkeling) and Shark's Cove Grill which had great food. We had a fantastic stay and Daniela and Larry were great! Their hospitality can't be beat! Daniela was very prompt to reply to our initial inquiry and kept in contact with us through the day of our check-in. Once there, they are around if you need anything but otherwise you wouldn't know they were there. We would absolutely stay at their studio again and highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the North Shore! Go ahead and book; you won't be sorry!"
