  • Lovely, absolutely beautiful home!

"When we began planning our 50th wedding anniversary celebration, we knew that we wanted to include our entire family and it HAD TO BE in a beautiful location. The website photos and video of Hawaiian Heaven on an Empty Beach were awesome, but were they true?? When we contacted the owner, Dan promptly responded to our queries and assured us that we would enjoy a 5-star experience. Their lovely home gave us more than we ever expected and exactly what we hoped to have - - a family reunion filled with many wonderful memories! From the very beginning, we had the feeling that we were staying in the home of a friend, not a rental house. We had everything we needed plus bicycles, boogie and skim boards, beach chairs, a Ping-Pong table, a strong Wi-Fi signal, 2 laundry rooms, outdoor shower, and beach towels galore. For a family of ten, it had the perfect combination of indoor/outdoor living - - we could enjoy the living room, kitchen, dining room, and lanai as one large area - - and that's where the relaxing/laughing/teasing/family games were enjoyed. Hawaiian Heaven on an Empty Beach has absolutely beautiful views that everyone tried to capture on their cameras. The upstairs master bedroom lanai was better (if that's even possible) and there always seemed to be someone calling for the rest of us to come up and see the whales, a beautiful ship, or just how far out that crazy stand up paddle boarder was now. Would we do this again? Absolutely!!"

  • Piece of Paradise!

"We spent 10 days at the Plumeria Hale for a family vacation with our 4 children and it was wonderful. The location was a 2 minute walk to the Beautiful Sunset Beach and also very close to many other popular beaches and sites on the North Shore of Oahu. The setting was beautiful and it felt very private. The lanai was the full length of the house and our kids loved it. We could see the ocean from the MBR and the lanai, and there were some nights when the waves were bigger that we could hear them from our window. We would certainly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Waikiki area. This is definitely a house where you can relax with nature all around you, and feel completely safe and close to so many landmark places. We loved it and would love to come again some day in the future!"

  • Beautiful North Shore Getaway

"The Hale Luana was absolutely incredible. We stayed in the Sunset Studio and could not have been happier. The glass windows allowed us to wake up to an incredible view of the North Shore where we could see the waves rolling in and could watch the sunset at night. Everything we possibly needed was included from condiments to laundry supplies. Not to mention that to get to the house you must have a code to clear the security to gate so safety was never a concern. Louise was incredible to deal with and made sure everything went smoothly. We would absolutely recommend staying at the Hale Luana!"

  • Slice of paradise!

"My husband and I stayed in Kay's studio for 10 days. The backyard area with views of the ocean turned out to be our favorite location, absolutely beautiful. We watched the sunset on the ocean and whales breach daily from the little deck in the backyard. There is easy access to the beach. It feels fairly secluded with some people enjoying the beach, but it never became crowded while we were there. A short walk away are more popular beaches with people surfing and snorkeling. We stayed in the winter making the waves more intense then they are in the summer months, so it is recommended people swim with caution or have some experience. Also within walking distance using the bike path is a Foodland grocery store with everything you may need and some food trucks. A short drive away is the little surfing town of Halewai with shops and places to eat. Between the studio and Haleiwa is a beach that you may get to see turtles resting on the sand or swimming. Traffic along the highway can get busy depending on the time of day due to the popular locations in between Haleiwa and the studio. We were told by one local that it isn't as busy in the summer months. The studio itself was very clean and well maintained. The size was comparable to a motel room with a double bed, bathroom, small refrigerator, and small kitchenette. Perfect for one or two people. There is no ocean view from the studio, but you can hear the ocean waves. It is just a short walk to the other side of the house to be in the gorgeous backyard. There are beach chairs, snorkeling gear, a cooler, beach towels, etc., all available for guests to use. Kay herself is an amazing and gracious woman! She was always extremely helpful, but gave us our privacy. If we stay in Oahu again, we now will only stay at Kay's slice of paradise! We highly recommend the studio, and even Kay's house for anyone wanting a peaceful, beautiful getaway. Kay, thank you for sharing your home with us!"
