"This house was everything promised and more. It was spacious, clean and had all the amenities of home. Great location, close to the beach and restaurants on the beautiful North Shore. Our family had a terrific time and there was plenty of room for all 9 of us. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. We would definitely recommend to all of our friends and family!"

"My family and I stayed in the Surf Cottage (Unit A) for a week earlier this month. I can't say enough good things about this property and Heather. It is everything as advertised and then some. The property is a duplex with very handy parking right in front of the house. I will say it isn't the easiest to find initially, at night, but that is kind of to be expected. As the name implies "Perfect Surf Cottage", it is just that...a surf cottage...not a surf mansion or a surf palace...it is a cottage...everything you need to have an awesome time in the laid back North Shore. Close proximity to Foodland grocery store and the best breakfast/bakery place you will ever find anywhere, North Shore legendary Ted's Bakery. Directly out in front of the cottage and across Kam Hiway is beach access that is a pedestrian only walkway that opens onto a fantastic beach named Velzyland. We are a family of 4 relatively tall people, the shortest is 5'-9" and the tallest is 6-5", we had plenty of room without being on top of each other. My wife's favorite thing was the outdoor shower. My younger son had a love hate relationship with the chicken family that lived on the premises...he has the rooster's crow saved on his I phone. My older son and wife did a shark dive out of Haleiwa "One Ocean Diving" that Clark Little recommends. I loved the whole cottage, especially the day geckoes and anoles that run amuck all over the place. The house is clean and well kept and was everything I wanted...not too nice...not to shabby...just right for the North Shore and a total relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place to anybody looking for that country North Shore Vibe and I sure hope to stay here again.

"We booked this for 3 nights in Sept and would liked to have stayed for longer.
This is a ground floor studio in a private beachside residential area about 4-5 miles south west of the Turtle Bay resort. It looked as though it was converted from being a garage judging by the low-ish ceiling, the room dimension and its position in the property. The apartment is part of a stylish family property in a small cul de sac and a member of the owner's family lives upstairs and provides friendly and helpful advice without being intrusive. We enjoyed:
Good value for money
Being so close that we could take our coffee and breakfast to the beach, or enjoy a glass of wine watching sunsets
Having outside garden space with easy chairs and a charcoal barbecue
Short drive to Foodland and local shrimp and other food trucks near Pupukea beach park.
Secluded and sheltered parking in lush vegetation with entertaining chickens and lizards and geckos
Quiet residential area
The downsides of this property were relatively minor but included
Low ceiling .. Which could concern those with claustrophobic tendencies
Views limited to space outside house. No view of ocean from within the apartment
Kitchen utensils limited - notably no corkscrew for wine
Quirky conversion/repairs give distinct feeling of a DIY job
These minor negative points are probably reflected in this being a relatively low cost rental for such a great location. We wished we had stayed longer."
